Fire regulations are very strict, but if you are connecting a smoke detector to an Intruder alarm control panel you could use the same 6 core cable, you have used on the Intruder Alarm. If you are fitting it as a Fire alarm you will need to follow the regs and fit fire cable. Hope this helps, but perhaps some of our forum members will also comment

The Mic should be run via an independent mic cable as it is sending analogue audio, not data. Also to run on Cat 5 there must be a data receiver at the amplifier end. Hope this helps you sort it out

Hi You will need a back up battery, and all of the alarm equipment will work together, but I would suggest something like the M12 as a smoke detector for an intruder alarm.

PSD 1 is designed to provide early warning of a fire sitiation by reacting to smoke concentration and is a 12v detector, the PSD2 is part of the new range of detectors with smooth aesthetics, also work in the 12 v range also a smoke detector. I am not aware that esp still produce PSD 1.
