Hi, I have a Voltek 1812 controller and the lux setting does not work. So I bought a new 1812 complete and still no good. It either senses and works both day and night or if I turn down the lux setting nothing works. The TLX override works fine. I have followed the instructions but simply cannot get it to work correctly. Very simply just to come on when it dark. Am I doing something wrong? Any ideas.

I have a 4 Zone Expansion Unit, GJD040 and a DygiZone enunciator and lots of Mini Opal PIRs. From one of your leaflets it shows 4 PIRS connected to each of 2 expansion Units. My GJD unit only seems to have provision for only 3 PIRs (A1,A2,A3). Is this correct or have I missed something? The two expansion units in the leaflet may have been Solitaire units. If 3 is the maximum can I double up? ie 2 PIRs in parallel? I realise the digizone will not be able to discriminate between the two but I guess it may work? If I was to purchase a second GJD040 can the two be connected together? How would the digizone handle Zones 5 and 6? Or would it be more sensible to have two separat…

I currently have a GJD 2 Zone Solitaire one of the zones the light keeps getting stuck on once activated and does not turn off unless manually turned off at the panel. It has been suggested I may need to replace the zone controller, would the dygizone be a straight swap for the solitaire as I cannot find that model anywhere .

Hi there, I am looking for a solution if possible for when my customers intruder alarm activates for it to be able to switch on external floodlights? Is this possible with your single control zone unit ie 1803 range or similar. It will be attached to a Texecom Veritas Excel Intruder panel , possibly connected to the bell -ve trigger.

Hi - I have installed a GJD external lighting setup on a home. It has 4 zones. In the house there are two 2 zone wiring boxes and a 4 way control panel. These extend out to the garage where there is an additional wiring box for zone 1 and 2 and a remote 4 way control panel. This was all installed 2 years ago and has been working fine since. It is a great system. It has however just started causing a problem where the lights are coming on and staying on all the time. if you reset the system it will work for anything from 30 mins to 6 hours or so and then all the lights will come on usually for all 4 zones and stay on. They even come on for zone 3 which is off on the contro…

Dear Sir or Madam I want advice and information on products that you might have that would suit my needs. I want to automatically switch on my driveway lights when, after dark, a pedestrian or vehicle comes into the gateway or starts up the driveway upon leaving the house, so I will need two sensors. I would like to use break-beam technology rather than PIR so that I can have the beam approximately 75 to 100 centimetres off the ground where it will not be triggered by dogs etc. I expect that when the beam is broken a signal will be sent to switching circuitry inside the house which will turn on the lights. The lights should stay on for about 5 minutes before turning off a…

customer has a voltek security light system. 1803 controller with 2 sensors and an internal alert. the sensors work, triggering the internal alarm, but there is no output for the 2 floodlights. i have checked the 20mm fuse to the immediate right of the 240V output terminals and it's good.i suspect that the 1803 is faultybut would like a 2nd opinion before buying a replacement.

RE: Takex PR-11B Hi, I plan on purchasing one of these devices as part of a home automation project to detect when a car drives on to my driveway. I was planning on attached the dry contacts to a binary Z-Wave detector to initiate some other lighting. I was wondering what the best source of power for the sensor would be - are you able to recommend any low cost power supplies? Thanks,

GJD Opal RFX system - RFX-3 receiver (GJD018) and three Opal RFX wireless external PIR detectors (GJD017). only attempted installation last few days now that CCTV is installed on the site in question. All the GJD RFX kit powers up OK. The three detectors were each paired with a receiver channel successfully. After pairing, all three indicators (RF1/2/3) on the receiver pulse every 5 seconds. The detectors seem to be operating OK, and when placed in 'walk test' mode the local LED indicator on each detector flashes appropriately. The problem is that even though the detectors seem to be detecting, there is no resultant indication at the receiver, despite the RF link bei…

My old security light control box (Racal Guardall RLC1) has packed up after many years of use. It appears this Company no longer exists so I contacted Security Warehouse for advice. They told me that if it is a single zone system (I have 6 lights and four PIRs outside) I will need a GJD005 Sapphire Mk3 control box. I duly bought one. However, when I eventually got an electrician to call he told me the wiring wasn't compatible as the old control box only had one output feed and the new one has more. As I know next to nothing about this issue, is there anyone who can give me advice and if so, in simple terms please?

I recently purchased some Voltek security light equipment from you, and I am trying to connect it up, but I am stuggling with the Securilite TZX 1819 Command Centre. The wiring diagram shows to connect the 1812 unit to the 1819 unit as + to +, - to -, S1 to S1 etc. Although the 1812 unit is clearly labelled, there is no indication on the 7 screw terminals on the 1819 unit which terminal is +, which is - etc. Do you have any ideas?

I installed a 4 zone controller, DygiZone (GJD910) and expansion panel (GJD040) with 7 Mini Opal external PIRs (GJD 332). 1. During the installation and initial setting of the PIR’s I had to remove each cover several times. Some of the PIR’s retained their Hex retaining screw with a plastic washer but quite a few them fell out. Inevitably with such a small screw I managed to lose 2 of them. Is it possible to get hold of replacement screws and washers through security warehouse? If not do you have the specification? I could do with at least 6. 2. I have also recorded a voice message for each lighting zone but the quality of the recording isn’t very good. Sounds like a w…

Hoping you can help, I need the reverse of the typical plug-in light sensor mains adaptor, i.e. to switch on the appliance when there is bright sunlight, and switch off when dark. If it has timer in it, then even better. So, I am after a device that works the opposite to these for a 240v appliance: Ideally, the light sensor is on a wire like this: Hope you can help, or possibly advise if an existing "dusk to dawn" version one can be made to work in reverse.

Having a problem with the new units : Initially both TX units were recognized by the RX unit and worked correctly but after about 15 minutes one of the TX units ceased to be recognized (the PIR is working since the LED flashes on the TX unit but the RX unit is not responding). Have disconnected and reconnected power to both TX and RX unit and used RX program mode to attempt to re-detect TX unit but still no response. Is there any other "reset" procedure or is the TX unit faulty?
