I believe the 837 is a DC unit so would not be a compatible replacement. The 836 is an old amp speaker unit, and I understand that Videx do still have stock, they are a similar price Anne

Hi It is really a matter of choice as to which system you fit, each installer has their own preferences. in a harsh enviroment like a garage a Dual Tech should be fitted, and the external bell box usually comes with LRD's but not to show the system is set, there should be no indication externally that teh system is set. When you have chosen your system, then all prices will be shown on the web site. Hope this helps

The Scantronic 660 is a plug on and will fit in your panel. the 840 needs to be wired and is larger so will be a tight fit, installers often fit this unit in a separate box. Some other members may be able to add their opinons to help you make a decision Anne

Hi This is part of the set up. For EN & DD243 system the standard allows for fob only setting, the keypad can only be set to be used on non police calling systems. This is in the programming in panel defintions. off by wirekless/off by keypad. Best of luck

These strips as you call them are quite old technology now, they deteriorate with moisture that tends to be on windows in the back end of the year, and are very labour intentsive, so most installers tend to prefer to use glass break sensors.
