Intruder Alarms

I have a Gardtec CP8L system that I inherited when I moved into my home several years ago. I wasn't left a code so asked the company who had serviced the system a couple of months previously to reset the system. On visiting, I was told that the system was faulty and the technician was unable to repair it. He left it powered-up such that the PIRs and bell box LEDs still flashed, so still acting as a deterrent. The keypad LCD display is blank. I have not touched the system, not even turning-off the mains, in case the external bell activates and I have no way of deactivating it. Hello, I have some question about the alarm system. We have two cats. Now I'm looking for the right alarm system for our house. I have 26 wired motion sensors and still need 4 wireless door and 7 wireless motion sensors. Which alarm is the better and the more modern, the Honeywell Galaxy Dimension GD-48 or the Galaxy Flex 50. Second question, I have the wired motion sensor “Active8 PIR with Pet Immunity”,( I bought them last year in England), are they compatible with Galaxy Dimension or Galaxy Flex. just wondering if you stock a piece of hardware which allows you to separately connect cameras and PIR sensors they don't really have to be connected together but would like remote notification of PIR sensing so cameras can be looked at

I have an existing Accenta Gen4 Alarm Panel - 8SP411A with 8 wired sensors. I want to replace the control box with one that has a LAN or WiFi interface for connection to my local LAN and is capable of sending alerts via email and has a web interface contactable on the WWW. I want to retain my wired sensors but also have the option of adding additional wireless sensors. Can you recommend a suitable control box?

I have changed the battery in both of my arming stations and now the Homelink 75 does not see them, I have followed the instructions in the Installation & Programming guide, but am currently baffled where it states to activate the tamper switch on the arming station, but where is the tamper switch? I have tried pressing each button, two buttons together, removing the back so as to disconnect the battery, still the panel does not see the arming station. I need to install a Eurosec LCD RKP keypad to replace the existing keypad which is working but worn out (keys don't work very well). If I just remove the old one and connect the existing wiring to the equivalent connectors on the new one will everything just work as normal or will the system need to be reprogrammed?

I have a twenty years old DA Systems Abacus 6P control panel. Each of the six zones is split with two PIR's on each zone. The existing PIR's are believed to be by Comet (but could be Stella or Apollo)and each has an integrated zone spliter so enabling three wire connection(12v+ 0v and tamper). Can you supply a replacement for the PIR's.

Risco Gardtec KITCP8LG2 I've a problem with one of the central units. It isn’t possible to set the number of times the bell is capable of sounding during a set period. If the system is triggered, the bell sounds always, even the third, fourth, … time when the number of bell re-arms is set to two. I’ve already disconnected all the connections and made a factory reset, but it isn’t making a solution. Please can you help me?

I have a optima G3 panel which is faulty and am looking to replace. In order to simplify replacement would the circuit board from the G4 fit in place of the existing board? (fixings in both panels look to be the same)

Hello, we have just had an outside office built - detached from the house by 1m. We currently have an Accenta G3 hard-wired panel with three spare zones. If I purchase Texecom GEC-0002 Ricichet Expansion pack and three Ricochet PIRs, will it allow me to attach the three wireless detectors to the spare zones? Your advice would be most welcome.

Hi, we are looking for a ?security chain? to attach to an out-board boat engine. Should the chain be tampered with we would like an alarm to sound in the house, not at the boat, maybe 30 metres away. Do you have anything suitable? Thanks
