Intruder Alarms

Recently installation of a galaxy flex and looking to put Ethernet module A083-00-01 into it On looking at the other flex systems they are all in plastic boxes with the RF Portal as a seperate card inside this flex is in a metal box. Honeywell Flex 20 Small Metal Box- C005-S-E1 & as seperate RF Portal -C079-2 Does anyone know if the Ethernet module can be used within this flex? Thanks

I ordered the above Visonic MCR-304 Receiver from you and it was quickly delivered without any sign of transit damage. Firstly my thanks for your prompt service. I installed the item in the prescribed way and powered it up. I then set the Learn jumper into the Learn mode and the yellow LED flashed as expected. I then pressed the Tamper spring and the yellow LED and the red LED both flashed OK and using the tamper key I was able to cycle through the various channels. I then tried to associate/enroll a known good transmitter and in this respect I used a MCT-100. This transmitter was free standing and located close to the MCR-304 so range was not an issue. Hello. Do you have an Intellisense IQ260 replacement/equivalent please. I have one in my garage, after doing some refurbishment to the building I was thinking of installing an additional sensor as a single one can no longer cover the area. That is if 2 pir's be installed in the same zone/room? an 8 core cable is installed however only 1 core remains unused. If 2 can be used on same cable maybe better to buy two identical detectors and do away with the IQ260? Thank you.

We're looking at a comms installation at an isolated site, which will also require an intruder alarm. There will be no landline phone but we anticipate installaing a 4G router which will provide both an Internet connection (WiFi and hardwired) and a phone line. The phone line will be derived from the cellular connection and we envisage using a UPS to keep the equipment going in the event of a power outage. Hi, I purchased a Scantronic 9651 from you in July. I have now noticed that in Eng Mode all IR and Panel tampers are taken out (as expected) allowing me to access the components, but having just taken the external siren cover off the bell rang immediately. It may be that this is correct but I was not expecting this (other panels I have installed eliminate all tampers in Eng Mode, inc the Bell). I would appreciate it if you could advice me if this is correct. Also, if it is correct is there a way to avoid the bell going off during maintenance of the system. I currently have a visonic powermaster 33 installed and working nicely. I have the gsm module, which is connected to a central monitoring server thing run by a third party. I'm looking at buying the powerlink 3, will this enable me to connect into the alarm myself so that I don't need to use a central monitoring station? I know that the powerlink 2 allowed you to do this, but not sure about the powerlink3. I have the Powermaster 33 PG2, and I've confirmed that it's got firmware 18. I bought Honeywell DT8012F5 and IS3012 sensors with Pet immunity but when my cat with (5Kgs) jumps to a table or to a sofa or when it walk on the table, it sets off the sensor. It already happened with both types of sensors in different rooms. Do you know why this is happening with Pet immunity sensors? How can I solve this?

Hi, I am interested in the Visonic Power master alarm to install in a carehome I look after. I have seen one of these systems before and it seems to work well. I need the system to have two door contacts, the most important feature the home is looking for is the door chime feature so I need this to be quite loud, is it? The alarm feature will be loud enough, they always are, this will only be set at night with no PIR required as there will be movement in the house, so still just the door sensors. I have fitted a challenger model before and the chime function was nowhere near loud enough so I am hoping this is better, it did seem to be on the one I seen. If not, is there a…

Thank you for the supply of the new remote keypad for my Visonic PowerMaster 10 I have registered the keypad without any problem. I started to register the prox tags but made a mistake, so deleted them. When I check the system, it clearly states 'none registered' When I try to re-add a tag, I now get the message "no free location". I removed the batteries from the keypad then I 'disconnected' the keypad from the main unit then re-registered the keypad with the main unit, hoping this would 'clear' any issues, but I still get the same message when trying to register a prox tag: "no free location" If I can't register any tags, the remote pad isn't a lot of use to me. On 6/4/16 I purchased an Accenta mini Gen4 and several other items from you to update an old alarm system I had in the house. Installed the above and all worked fine. Yesterday I went to replace an old PIR and stupidly I forgot to power down the system first. Afterwards neither of RKP's or any of the PIR's worked, however the bell did. There is power to the PCB as the red light is on. Is there anything I could check, or is it liable to be the end of the PCB? Yours hopefully

Hi all, I fitted the above about 6 months ago, the following is the setup: GD-48 3x MK8 Keypad's 1x External powered RIO Handful of PIR's Handful of G3 door mags Elmdene bell box Ethernet Module for Self Mon All has been working excellently up until today, the alarm put out a tamper so all 3 keypads were beeping constantly, upon me trying to input a user code or the manager code not 1 of the keypads would accept any key presses. Hi, I had purchased a number of items from this site a while back, and just getting round to fitting. One of them was an AG6 bell box. My plan was to use this at the rear of the property to replace a dummy box, but to use the internal battery and LED to have a flashing deterrent at the rear. But I cant work out how to do this, or if its even possible? All instructions point towards needing the 12v coming from the panel, but I dont have this connection. I bought a CQR SC570/WH Surface Contact (SC570/WH/MD/MULTI/G3) from your shop. Installation instructions are a bit unclear : to wire this contact as a single detector, it is written that one link from each row (Tamper and Switch) must be cut. But just before, they wrote that "at least" one link from each row must be cut. And there is a table which lists Texecom (I have a Texecom Premier 24 control panel) in column B. So, now I'm wondering: should I cut only column B links or should I cut all links except column B?

Hello, I have a Visionic Powermaster 10 alarm system that I want to upgrade to connect to BroadBand. I believe the unit I need is the Powerlink 3? I have a couple of questions ... Is this the right unit for my alarm? Once connected to my home router, am I able to use it right away, for example, through a telephone app, to monitor my alarm system, any ip camera etc? Do I HAVE to subscribe to any third party service or is that just an extra option? Thanks

Hi, thinking of using the Texecom Speech and Text dialler with an Aico Ei428 relay on a smoke alarm system, the not received relay yet, but sales literature of relay says it has Volt free relay contacts, can be configured to switch up to 230V, would this dialler work with it? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. thanks

My current home burglar alarm system 'Accenta G3' (product code 8SP401N) is broken. The transformer has blown in the box due to recent power cut in my area. I currently have a Accenta G3 box and a seperate wired user control panel linked to the box. I have 4 wired sensors in the house 2 for the doors and 2 in rooms. There is an alarm box on the front of the house. We were wondering if we could simply replace the box with the new Accenta G4 system but still keep the old G3 user control panel and the existing sensors set up in the house and alarm box on the outside of the house as is i.e. is it simply case of un-wiring the existing G3 box, removing it from the wall and rep…
