  1. Thank you for the supply of the new remote keypad for my Visonic PowerMaster 10 I have registered the keypad without any problem. I started to register the prox tags but made a mistake, so deleted them. When I check the system, it clearly states 'none registered' When I try to re-add a tag, I now get the message "no free location". I removed the batteries from the keypad then I 'disconnected' the keypad from the main unit then re-registered the keypad with the main unit, hoping this would 'clear' any issues, but I still get the same message when trying to register a prox tag: "no free location" If I can't register any tags, the remote pad isn't a lot of use to me. P…

  3. Started by Secware,

On 6/4/16 I purchased an Accenta mini Gen4 and several other items from you to update an old alarm system I had in the house. Installed the above and all worked fine. Yesterday I went to replace an old PIR and stupidly I forgot to power down the system first. Afterwards neither of RKP's or any of the PIR's worked, however the bell did. There is power to the PCB as the red light is on. Is there anything I could check, or is it liable to be the end of the PCB? Yours hopefully

Hi all, I fitted the above about 6 months ago, the following is the setup: GD-48 3x MK8 Keypad's 1x External powered RIO Handful of PIR's Handful of G3 door mags Elmdene bell box Ethernet Module for Self Mon All has been working excellently up until today, the alarm put out a tamper so all 3 keypads were beeping constantly, upon me trying to input a user code or the manager code not 1 of the keypads would accept any key presses. While this is ongoing randomly on different keypads the static white LED would flash rapidly, also the beeping would stop altogether then start again. I eventually managed to get into the system using the manager code to…

Hi, I had purchased a number of items from this site a while back, and just getting round to fitting. One of them was an AG6 bell box. My plan was to use this at the rear of the property to replace a dummy box, but to use the internal battery and LED to have a flashing deterrent at the rear. But I cant work out how to do this, or if its even possible? All instructions point towards needing the 12v coming from the panel, but I dont have this connection. Can the AG6 be set so that just the LED is flashing without panel connection? many thanks. https://www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/honeywell-activeguard-ag6-external-siren-blue-inc-white-cover-p-1973.html

  7. I bought a CQR SC570/WH Surface Contact (SC570/WH/MD/MULTI/G3) from your shop. Installation instructions are a bit unclear : to wire this contact as a single detector, it is written that one link from each row (Tamper and Switch) must be cut. But just before, they wrote that "at least" one link from each row must be cut. And there is a table which lists Texecom (I have a Texecom Premier 24 control panel) in column B. So, now I'm wondering: should I cut only column B links or should I cut all links except column B?

  9. Hello, I have a Visionic Powermaster 10 alarm system that I want to upgrade to connect to BroadBand. I believe the unit I need is the Powerlink 3? I have a couple of questions ... Is this the right unit for my alarm? Once connected to my home router, am I able to use it right away, for example, through a telephone app, to monitor my alarm system, any ip camera etc? Do I HAVE to subscribe to any third party service or is that just an extra option? Thanks

  10. Hi, thinking of using the Texecom Speech and Text dialler with an Aico Ei428 relay on a smoke alarm system, the not received relay yet, but sales literature of relay says it has Volt free relay contacts, can be configured to switch up to 230V, would this dialler work with it? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. thanks

  11. My current home burglar alarm system 'Accenta G3' (product code 8SP401N) is broken. The transformer has blown in the box due to recent power cut in my area. I currently have a Accenta G3 box and a seperate wired user control panel linked to the box. I have 4 wired sensors in the house 2 for the doors and 2 in rooms. There is an alarm box on the front of the house. We were wondering if we could simply replace the box with the new Accenta G4 system but still keep the old G3 user control panel and the existing sensors set up in the house and alarm box on the outside of the house as is i.e. is it simply case of un-wiring the existing G3 box, removing it from the wall and rep…

  12. Started by Secware,

I purchased several items including a ADE Honeywell Accenta Mini Gen4 and a Honeywell ActiveGuard AG6 External Siren to update an old system in my house. I fitted the items and all seemed to work well. However I have just realised that when I remove the PCB cover, activating the tamper, the external bell and strobe do not operate. The sounders on both of the key pads are activated by the tamper. The external siren and strobe work as they should in all other situations (test, SOS, if the alarm is triggered etc.) I just cannot work out what is wrong, any help would be appreciated?

  13. Hi-I have recently bought a house with an installed intruder system which appears to have a fault on the panel pub. The system is a sterling unti but with no other distinguishing identifiers system installed in 2007 and the documentation identifies it as compliant with EN50131-1 security grade1. It has 8 programmable zones and 2 programmable outputs. It's connected to 2 LCD keypads( which are identified for use with nllcdkit) I am looking for a replacement pub or a complete replacement control panel Can you recommend a unit and advise a good quality replacement

  14. Started by Secware,

Hi, I sent the below to Honeywell UK but haven't heard from them. As it stands I am unable to set the alarm so this is pretty urgent. Can you assist me in understanding why all of a sudden a Le Sucre system is no longer working with your TC2.0e web service? It was working fine until a few days ago when the alarm would no longer set from the main panel using proximity fobs. If I login to the TC2.0e portal I notice the connectivity icon in the top right corner remains red with a cross through it. It won't allow me to delete equipment in order to start over. I have pushed the reset button on the main gprs unit and have of course power cycled all equipment- everything I tr…

Can you tellme what battery will fit the honeywell large plastic cased accent gen4 with key pad and also can the honeywell compact per with pet immunity be used as a normal pic or will i have to order a honeywell IS3016 so it matches. Thanks.

  16. Hi, Looking for a panel that can control a relay whereby when the alarm is set, e.g. when leaving the building, a signal is sent from the panel to a relay. This signal causes the relay to switch and so makes another device active. The signal stays continuous whilst the panel is set. Conversly, when the panel is un-set, the signal is withdrawn and so the relay becomes inactive. Looking for a low cost compact wired model preferrably. Which model do you recommend? Thanks

  17. Started by Secware,

Hi there, I'm looking to install a house alarm for my property and I require a little bit of assistance finding the right piece of kit for me. Ideally I want the system to be wireless. I want one of those Klaxxons which will alert the area if there was a break in. I would need 12 Pirs. 7 Door Sensors. 7 window sensors. I also want the main box ideally to be hidden away, and use a wireless keypads by the doors. (2). Also I'm not so fussed if the alarm bell has to wired up. If there is Wifi and connectivity then that would be a bonus. Please let me know if you need to know more information. Kind regards Hiren

  18. Started by Secware2,

I am struggling to find information on how to wire the Pyronix Deltabell Plus to the Honeywell Flex 20. Also i would like to know how to wire the Honeywell DT8012F5 DUAL TEC Motion Sensor with Pet-Immunity (DT8012F5) to the Honeywell Flex 20 panel. At present i have connected the positive and negative to +12V and 0V. I have connected the NC to 0V and put a 1K resistor at the sensor to C, and then again a 1K resistor from C to Tamper. The problem i have is the sensor doesn't have a Fault terminal to wire to zone 1.

Hi, Recently installed a Galaxy 2-20 for a client and they said they have had trouble unsettling the system before, so went round and checked everything, front door is on a door contact and set as final door, detector near front door is programmed as exit. Now I noticed that when unsettling they leave the front door open, could this stop them unsettling the system?, I don't see why not myself?, although I did notice that he said when he unset the system he entered the code and then pressed A, which is the procedure for setting the system

  20. could you help me identify location of the "auxiliary power fuse"in control panel. I want to remove it while I replace PIRs.

  21. Hi, I just bought the Honeywell Le Sucre system off you. I would now like to add an external siren for outside of my property, however I can't believe how expensive the SEF8M is at £130 compared to other one's which can be bought for around £30~. Is that literally the only one which will work with my alarm system or do Honeywell/3rd party companies do others?

  25. Good morning, Thank you for your email regarding the cover for my Flash Guard sounder. I am quite happy to purchase a new unit but would like to know if the six core cable that controlled the old unit will be ok for a new one. I have included a photo of the old unit and to which colour went to which connection on the vertical block located on the left of the photo. 1- Yellow (Tamp out) 2- White (Tamp in) 3- 4- Blue (Supply minus) 5- 6- Green (Trigger) 7- Red (Strobe plus) 8- Black (Trobe minus) There was then a Red coming from a battery going to the plus connection on the small terminal block. I hope this will help in recommending the right sounder for my application.
