Hi all, I have a Texecom Premier 48, to which I am trying to use the Wintex software to program. I am attempting to use my PC modem to connect to the 2400 com modem installed on the panel. However I can not get a connection with my PC to the panel. Has anybody had issues when trying to do this? Thanks.

Hi, I purchased the Wintex software off your website last night. However I am unable to download the software, it just says "NOTE: Downloads are not available until payment has been confirmed" My order number is #12973. Would it be possible to email me the .zip file please? Thanks, Tom.

  3. I'm trying to decide which battery to purchase for my G2-44 system that I'm ready to order from Securitywarehouse, and I'd like to know if the Control Panel supplied with the LCD Keypad (Model: C044-01-KPD) is the plastic or the metal one since there is a difference in the battery size (7Ah vs 17Ah). Thanks!

Hello! I'm in the process of building a home alarm that consists of the G2-44 Panel and I'd like to know a couple of things: Provided that I have installed a RF Portal, 1. Will this Glass Break Detector that Securitywarehouse supplies (Model: DOM-BG- work with the Galaxy system? 2. Will the KTC 805 keyfob work with the system? If I'd like to purchase the FlexGuard Glass Break Detector and Magnetic Contact (model FG-1608T) as well as the TCB8M Keyfob would it be possible for Securitywarehouse to order them? Thanks! Looking forward to hearing from you.

I have an old, very old alarm system! It uses a 4 wire CCL configuration which operated relays in a hard wired system. I would like to upgrade so that I can update/upgrade with a few more detectors. The Homelink 55 system appears to fit the bill as I reckon I could use it with my existing hard wire detectors and allow me to expand into new areas without doing more hardwiring ( add a few PIR's). As I get my neighbours to check out the house and feed the pets while I am on holiday I like to keep entry/exit operation of the alarm system simple. The question . . . can you utilise keyfobs into the Homelink 55 system giving the custodian a car remote type ac…

I have to purchase the following equipment for a new house which already has cabling installed for an alarm system. 6 x Dual-tech PIRs (because of the geometry of the rooms some of these will be facing a window, which I can do nothing about) 1 x Door contact 1 x 8+ Control panel 1 x Keypad 2 x Internal sounders 1 x External sounder 1 x Bell box Plus anything else that will be required that I've not mentioned. Hi I'm interested in getting the Visonic Powermax+ Quickfit Kit (inc Wireless sounder). What Keypanel do you recommend? I assume it's recomended that you put the control panel in a closet or something and not close to the door? Also, can the whole kit run on battery only? if so, for how long? BR

I'm new to this forum and although I tried to read several posts I'm not sure if I came across this topic. I'm thinking of buying the G2-44 for domestic use. On deciding which wired Motion Detectors to choose I'd like your opinion on which brand: Would you advise to stick with Honeywell products (such as the DT 7550A) or would other products such as Rokonet iWise DT15, Pyronix FPKX15DT3, Bosch TriTech, etc will do a better job and fit better with the system? I'm open to suggestions... Thanks!

Hello, I am planning on getting a new intruder alamr panel. My accenta g4 is not as reliable as you may think. With the dan thing making a buzzing noise thru the speakers, display going funny, LEDs flickering and as many other faults you could think of! I am planning on buying a scantronic 9448 control panel (the control box with 1 RKP). I have 5 current intruder ones (1 panic), 1 fire and one spare. Is it possible to have a fire alarm zone on this unit? And once I fit it, will I need an engineer code? Im presuming it starts with 7 and ends in 0. I wont put the whole code on here to save any problems. I also would like to know if it is programmed with …

my omicron 7000 intruder alarm is giving problems. I think the panel is OK, but the outside bell box doesn't sound.I intend to first replace the bellbox, if this don't resolve the problem then I will replace the control panel. Or do you recommend that I just update and replace both items. I want to reuse the wiring and security devices. can you please recommend a suitable reliable replacement and give me some idea of the cost of the units. many thanks David

I have replaced an old Optima panel, (18 years old) with a new Optima Compact. All works fine except the LED in the PIR does not flash like they used to when I walk into a room and the alarm is not set. You can still hear the relay click in the PIR. Only the panel wiring has been touched. Any suggestions what to check as I have already checked the wiring, or does the new Optima panel work slightly different than the old one. Robin

Description states "Many metal control panels connect 0Volt of the 12VDC supply to the case of the box." Do you know if this is true for the Honeywell Galaxy G2 panels?

Hi, From forums and even neighbors I hear that The Securitywarehouse is in fact the only place to get an alarm system at a reasonable price. Only the quantity of the products creates some confusion with me, therefore I would like some advice. I am looking for an alarm system to install in my house next to my home automation system. As I see on your website I have the choice over various systems. My concern however is that all components are compatible with each other. I am looking for the following: A hybrid central unit (wired and wireless) with battery. 3 wired keypads 5 PIR detectors (both infrared and microwave) with pet immunity. (wired…

A couple of weeks ago I bought a Scantronic 9651EN-41 (9651 c/w 9941) panel from you. Having now installed it I'm surprised that the transformer in the panel has a noticeable hum/buzz. The problem is that the panel is located in the living room rather than out of the way in the attic or similar. It is where it is because I wanted to do a straightforward replacement for a Menvier stand-alone(ie no RKP) panel that had gone on the blink, with minimum re-wiring. Is this hum/buz normal? The Menvier was totally silent.

Hello Questions about your kit refered: Visonic-Quick2Fit -Does the panel include the battery (should not, which reference to order). -Same question for the external siren -I can't find any reference for PIR detector from VISIONIC in your catalogue, so don't know which one from your catalogue could be compatible with the panel. Could you please advise (for pet tolerant only). Thanks
