Intruder Alarms

Hi I am trying to get an MRnode to connect to an M800 all wired up and everything seems ok, it is detected on start up. I am removed the cover of the MRnode pressed the select button to go into learn mode, and tried to link a 702 wrist transmitter all seems correct, one completing the learn I have put the cover back on to take the MRnode out of learn mode, but as soon as this happens I get an alert from the panel saying Lost device (or something along those lines) and the MRnode doesn't show on the network! Hello SecurityWarehouse I still havent got a bellbox for my system yet (Accenta G4)... I was thinking of getting one that is hardly visible and I wanted quality so I thought of Texecom! I have been looking at their Odyssey's and I think the 4E does just that. On your website, you have the Odyssey 4 and the Odyssey 4E live backplates in either clear or blue. If I was to get a "clear" 4E live backplate will the strobe lens be clear along the outside or blue? Hi, I am looking for some help and advice with selecting an alarm system for the house I am currently renovating. It is a four bedroom house with an external garage which I would also like protecting. I would prefer a wired system as from my experiences at work, I am not fully convinced of the reliability of wireless technology! I am nearing the first-fix stage so now is the time to start planning the alarm system. Hi, I seem to have my Gen 4 almost working as desired with my existing BG (DSC) equipment, however for the life of me I cannot seem to get the strobe light working. The Bell will work but not the strobe. The existing bell box wires where listed as (+) Red, (-) Black (which I have hooked both of these up to the bell connectors), AUX = Blue and Strobe = Green. Any advice/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi i tried to part set the accenta Gen4 as described in manual , but when trying to set the system, only i can set programme one , it is said in the manual that while setting the system after entering the code we need to chose the program ( 1,2 or 3) , but it is not comming up. please advise? regards

Hi, System ADE Poly Gen4 with LCD keypad Is there any way in which I can permanently enable the LCD and Keypad backlight on the Accenta Gen4 LCD Keypad. The current default state is that they illuminate for about 30 secs following a keypress. My previous ADE system (LED Keypad) had backlit buttons on all the time which I found quite helpful. Bob

Hello I have installed system now, only one Magnet contat for Door entry.(Elmdene EN3-LSC) I've done programming. Disable all but door contact. When arming system: Door 'n Hall fails. System don't arm, only beeping( Program 1 set). Walk test gives 0 to Door What's wrong: is my door contact wrong kind, maybe false wiring or missprogramming ? Please help ! Respect !

Please can anyone help resolve this problem with Intruder Alarm system Scantronic 9800+. (9827) In brief, there is a code showing as bF which I understand through d/loading the User manual means: battery fault on the control panel. The alarm has been going off several times a day for nearly a week and I disconnected the ringer several days ago but am too worried to open up the control panel in case it then goes off again and I can't press the code to stop the noise once the faccia is removed. I have recently installed risco CPX control panel and have done some programming but it would be nice to have a manual/guide which describe every options in details, has anyone got any guide/manual please? How do I change the master default code of 5678? I have managed to changed the engineer default code from 1234, now when I enter the master code the alarm sets off even though I say "NO" to set system option, any idea what wrong I must have done? thanks

Hi I prevously bought a Powermax + system from you and I'm having two problems. I can't seem to be able to pair the external siren (MCS 710). I follow the instructions to the letter but when I transmit and press the self test button no pairing is done, it just start sounding (loud) My second problem is similar, I try to pair the MCM 140 keypad and it feels like the pairing is complete but I can not turn on the alarm via the keypad. I'm I missing someting here? Best regards

I am programing the panel but not sure which zone type to select for lounge and other areas as there seems to be quite a few to choose from (alert, 24, monitor, ext/en etc) can someone please help me with what they all mean in cpx. I know what a ext/en is and I have selected my front door one as ext/ex but now sure what should others come under, I just want the others to fire when the alarm is set. a programing/engineer manual would be handy if anyone has got it please thanks

Hi! I purchased an alarm system, a Viasonic Powermax+, from you in september 2009. Since we have 3 cats (weight 4,2 4,2 and 3,5 kg) I got the pet tolerant PIR:s. Tha alarm has been working perfectly until last night when we all woke up from the sounding alarm. When you wake up at 4 AM from a deep sleep and realize that the alarm you have come to rely on not giving false alarms, is sounding, you get up really quick, I promise. Armed with a knife and a steel pipe I searched the house but found nothing. Since we have a lot of snow I could also check for tracks outside the windows and back door, but nothing. Hi Guys I need some advice I have a five bedroom house, no pets, 2 children and need an alarm system lol. The incumbent is a old scantronic which needs to be replaced I need auto dial and all the usual good stuff [im a bit of a techy!] PIR - Quad Tec good? Any recommendations? In terms of the panel and PIR makes - what do people recommend? Ill need 2 Bell Boxes [one live one dummy] Total PIRs : 6 Door contacts : 4 Dont mind if its code or key fob Any recommendations?

Hi I have bought a new remote fob for my Scantronic 500r+ alarm system. I have managed to get the system to "learn" the new remote but the new remote will not set my alarm. Can anyone help?

We have had an electrician wire up the alarm and the alarm did go off when he tested it. When you set the alarm, however, it does not go off when you walk passed either of the 2 pir's fitted to the system. He has gone home and given up! any ideas??
