Intruder Alarms

Hi , I'm after a bit of help , I'm looking at installing an external sounder to a powermax complete panel in out house , the eves at the top of the house so don't want to be going up ladder to often to change batteries etc . I've looked on your web page and it directs me to an expander module to allow the connection up to the siren, however looking in the panel I can see some connection for 12v , internal and external sounder already on the main panel next to the connection for the telephone line , therefore can I just use those to feed the external siren, thanks for your help with this .

I have a powermaster30 and would like to use the special features ,"Look after People at home" as described in the manual. in Devices configuraion of my PIR i have set the "DISARM ACTIVITY - YES, No delay" but does not receive any information if i stop moving. Is there anything else i have to configure in the CP to use this feature?

Hi, I wonder if it`s possible to use the kp-160 as a remote keypad for arming/un arming and NOT only for proximity tags (chicklets) to a Powermaster 10? What version is the Powermaster 10? Is it v 15? Because I heard that this is the key to get this working as a numerous keypad. Best Regards Ulf

texecom odyssey bell box appears to be faulty, I have checked the voltages and the tamper circuit but the bell is active constantly. Is there anything that can be done about this?

Can I connect a telephone dialler to the Optima 8EP396A . The instruction manual says the communicator is not fitted to the Optima Compact.

I have bought 2 grade 3 roller shutter contacts from yourself. I am going to be installing them shortly and have removed them from their packaging to check them out. The wires from the contact are colour coded but as it is a galaxy panel I am connecting too I need 1k resistance. On the contact instructions it relates thus to the colour green, but the wires on the contact don't have this colour. What can I do to resolve this ? Use 1k resistors ?

I've a customer with a veritas R8 plus alarm system, which is not working. The keypad / control has the set & tamper lights lit, but none of the indicator lights. They've had a couple of people look at it, & although one company changed the battery which corrected the problem for about 6 weeks. It is now the same the control panel battery is showing 12.7v on the meter . The keypad does not appear to be functioning correctly as when some buttons are pressed they operate 2 buttons at once. I'm thionking of changing the panel, but also wondered if it could be a problem with the battery in the outside alarm box. I wondered if you have come across this problem before, …

Bought myself a Jablotron JA-83 panel. The manual advises to connect only 1 wired keypad (JA-81E). Additinional keypads should be connected wireless. Does anyone have an idea why ? Is this panel not able to work with 2 keypads on the same keypad connectors? Does the panel delivers not enough power to feed more than 1 keypad? Or does Jablotron likes to sell wireless keypads above wired ? I really would like to know why...

Can i install the com-ip module and com-gsm module together? I have the texecom elite premier 48. (V2.02) I want the com-gsm just to sent sms messages when an alarm occurs. I would like to install the com-ip over wan to use with the ios apps. Is this possible?

I have G4 panel with LED remote keypad.I want to make door chime facility louder, do I need to connect another sounder to rkp or back to main panel? RKP is near door which terminals do I use on rkp and/or G4 panel, I already have extra sounder near main panel, close to back door also set to chime, wired to speaker terminals in main panel but this responds to alarm condition and mirrors rkp sounder when alarm activated but when front or back door is opened then I'm only getting usual beep-bo from rkp.Am I using the right connections in main panel?

i purchased a Scantronic 9427 Keypad andI need to know what what jumpers on the keypad to change to address it as as second keypad.. Hi, I am trying to source an alarm that allows me to extract information about the state of window/ door and occupancy sensors. And I would also like set the alarm remotely if possible. I would like it to operate via one of the following Protocols: Modbus Mbus Bacnet I know that Honeywell offers an IP gateway, however the system doesn't output this information as standard. So this isn't suitable. However, another alarm system that uses a more open IP interface could work, although one of the above protcols would be better as I'm integrating it with a Priva BMS system. If anyone could offer any suggestions, that would be much appreciated. Fraser

I'm trying to install the Ion-40 wired keypad with my existing i-on 40 main panel. At the first mains switch on (with back-up battery and wired keypad connected) the manual says you should get option A and B on the keypad display. I get this on my display but the entire left side of the keypad buttons -including the A, B, C & D buttons (but excluding the big square button) do not do anything - ie when I press them, nothing happens. I have purchased a Scantronic ion-40 control panel and a Pyronix Deltabell E, but I'm having a problem getting the bell to trigger. Hi, Forgive me if this is very obvious, but I am new to wired alarms and just want to confirm in case all goes wrong... We purchased the Castle Euro Mini alarm from you recently, we are looking at installing it but had a query, if we want to wire more sensors than we have inputs in the unit, can we wire them in parallel in the same way you would wire the Tamper circuit in double pole wiring? then if so, is there a limit or recommended maximum for sensors and cable lengths etc? can anyone provide list of kit for easy install and use of intruder alarm kit using tel communicator eg Informa speech dialler, key fob set/unset,can these things be used with control panel with onboard keypad if so which one and are they also compatible with each other.thanks jw

When I wire the panel to activate output 1 when a fire alarm is triggered it doesn't seem to work when I activate a fire alarm from a remote keypad. Is the RKP fire alarm different then from a smoke detector?
