My wireless home alarm system has been jammed by source unknown. I have reset it but would like to back it up with hard wired system, not susceptible to jamming, for the upper floor of my house. Could you suggest components for such a system. I would like it to include Two PIRs (no need for pet friendly type) A remote wired keypad which can be set/unset easily without keying in a four number code ( I would like to either press one button or use a proximity tag, unless its operation can be jammed) A panic button (unless its operation can be jammed) Outside bellbox with battery back-up (not Odyssey) Thanks

  2. Hi, looking to but the Texecom Kit 2 32 Zone Wireless Kit with Sounder but have some questions. How is the Premier LCDP powered... batteries of PSU? I assume the LCDP is wireless to the main control box? I have a couple of locations I would like to 'hard wire' will any 'standard' PIR be suitable for this? Is it only 4 hard wired channels I can use? Think I need a cover for the bell box with this kit? please point in right direction for this please

Hello, I have a scantronic 500r.+ system installed in 2002 which has been regularly serviced and works as installed. I now have a low battery light for one of the PIRs but the installer & servicer seems to have gone out of business as his phone contact is no longer recognised. Please could you say how to change the battery on the PIR as I do not know whether it has a tamper proof feature or not, hence, if I interfere with the PIR will it set off the alarm? Thanks for your help, Roger

Hello! I have bought a nice second hand DSC wired panel (PC1864) and is looking for some detectors. I am among other things considering the https://www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/rokonet-shocktec-with-magnet-white-p-620.html As I understand it this unit does not require any external analyzer card or anything and should work as any stand alone wired detector with my DSC right? I am thinking on using it for the doors on my house - do the main part of the detector in this case need to be mounted on the door itself or will it detect vibrations from break ins even if mounted on the frame? Do this unit have space internally to mount resistor? Do you have some install…

You sold the above to my installer when I renovated my property in 2012. I have never actually used it but now looking to start using it. The engineer at the time left me an engineers code which i cannot find nor can I remember the code I used. Is there anyway I can now get the alarm working? Your advice would be greatly appreciated or any contact at Scantronic. Many thanks ps a contacted another firm told me I would have to buy a new panel through him which I find hard to believe.

  17. Hi, I am interested in the Visonic PowerMaster 33 but see that the panel itself only comes in a kit. I would like to add some items to the kit (additional chicklets, PIRs and a GSM-350) but also remove some items (door contact and per friendly PIRs). It is possible to modify the contents of the PowerMaster 33 kit so I do not have to purchase items I will not use ? Also is the SR-740 included in the kit the rectangular or hexagonal one ? Thanks,

  21. Hi, I am experiencing odd behaviour with a Visonic Powermaster 10. Due to a planned extended power cut, the panel was unplugged for 24 hours, during which time the battery went flat. The panel was reconnected to the mains when the power returned and it eventually booted back up. Since then it has suffered 3 false alarms from separate PIRs. Should I do a factory reset to try to resolve the issues? If so, is the only option a hardware reset? When I open the back of the panel I can see three pins marked DEF and 3 marked RST. Which pins should I jumper please? Thanks in advance for any assistance. Mark.
