  2. I have a Scantronic I-ON 40 which is installed in a closet upstairs along with the wired keypad which has the LCD display and speaker (the one supplied with the control panel). I also have a i-rk01 wireless keypad downstairs for setting/unsetting the system upon entry/exit. Unfortunately, because the i-rk01 does not have a display or a speaker, it's pretty much useless as you can't hear or see what you're doing from downstairs. I am unable to relocate the wired keypad downstairs as I cannot run a cable, so is there an option to purchase a wireless keypad with a display or speaker? Or is there a separate wireless speaker that I can simply install in the closet downstairs a…

Hi I have a powermax 10 with a GSM link we bought right before Christmas. Up until a couple of months ago, it cannot receive SMS commands any more. At first I thought it was something with teh phone operator, and I have been in contact with them. But now I think it might have to do with the GSM module. I'm not sure. The strange thing is that it will send SMS messages, because I receive status reports and auto test messages and such. And if I arm it manually on the display, I will get an SMS. However if I reply to it and say STATUS and my code, I never get any replies and nothing happens. Please advise. What can I do to trouble shoot it?

I've purchased a replacement LCD keypad for my Accente G4 Mini as the old keypad has a faulty button. I installed the system myself a few years ago so have no issue with the physical wiring etc. I'm just wondering if I will need to re programme the whole system once I change the keypad or are the settings saved in the main panel? I'm just trying to work out if its a 10 minute job or if it will take longer as I will need to re programme the system.

I have just purchased a Honeywell Accenta Gen4 intruder alarm. While the installation manual is reasonably good, the wiring of the internal sounder is unclear. My old alarm had an internal siren connected in parallel with the strobe light in the external bell box. The internal siren is polarity conscious in that it must be wired up the correct way. No problem so far. I suppose I could connect it in the same was as it was fitted in the previous installation, but it doesn't seem quite right, When I look at the installation, it does not make any reference to an internal siren/sounder, but it does make reference to an extension speaker (16 ohms) that may be connected across…

Hi All, I have just moved into a new (8 year old) house that has a 9651 alarm. I wanted to change some upstairs lights only to find when I turned the lighting circuit off the alarm started sounding. On further inspection, the alarm system shares the same power circuit as the upstairs lighting. I then tried disconnecting the batteries in the alarm control box and that just sent the alarm crazy again. Is there anyway this system can be put into a "engineer mode" ie can I turn the power off without the alarm sounding?. I have tried the alarm installation company but they can't help over the phone (suppose for security reasons) but are wanting silly money to come out? …

  8. I am looking for a engineers and user manual for above panel, can anyone help?

  9. I'm fairly sure I can interface the Reson8 bell box to an old RS alarm Panel I installed many years ago. The panel has (in order) + Hold off, - Hold off, -SW, +SW, -ExB, -ST-, + IntBell, - IntBell, +Buzz, -Buzz, -Tamp(Zone1),+Tamp(Zone1) Basically I cannot see how to connect the Tamper supply- and Tamper return- in the Wiring diagram. I am sticking with the wiring colours. I know it's quite serviceable.

  10. I require a standalone wireless receiver plus 2 IR room sensor to connect to an ADC type panel (wire to existing sensors has been cut by flooring contractor)... The Nova 2 would appear to fit the bill?

tried to install this panel but it keeps blowing the 1.6a battery fuse (i tried 3 times but it blew each time) .I bench tested the panel using mains only and was able to successfully set up and test as per the installation instruction. The Bell, strobe PIRs and LEDs worked fine but each time i connected the battery it blew the fuse. I have checked the wiring instructions and cannot see any obvious reason for the problem.Your assistance will be greatly appreciated

  12. I am interested in purchasing the Honeywell galaxy flex FX020 with a Mk7 keypad but have a few questions first. 1. Is the Honeywell reson8 bell box compatible with the above panel? 2. Is the Honeywell AG3 bell box compatible with the above panel? 3. Does the alarm panel come with the 680 ohm resistors for EOL wiring to the keypads? 4. Does the alarm panel come with the 1k and 2k resistors for double balanced wiring to the PIRs? 5. Does the rio zone expander come with the necessary resistors like the main panel for the additional zones? 6. Does the rio zone expander get its power from the main panel? 7. Can both the gsm/GPRS module and the Ethernet module both fi…

Hi, I'm going to replace my existing (faulty) Eurosec CPX alarm and I'm intending on purchasing the Texecom Premier Elite 24-W Kit from you: 1 x Premier Elite 24-W Complete Kit (GED-0013) 5 x Premier Elite Ricochet Impaq (GBB-0001) additional sensors for the windows (impact) and door (using the included magnetic contact) 1 x Premier Com2400 (CEC-0001) for communications I have a few questions though: Will the com2400 fit inside the control box supplied with the above kit? Which backup battery should I purchase for the control panel? Can I use my existing external sounder or should it be replaced with a new Texecom Odyssey Sounder (either wireless Ricochet…

In september last year i asked you a question if a oml-dam can be used as pir only with the mw disabled. You confirmed this with yes. I ordered 6 detectors which stein use in a residentiall environment for a small year now. During this year most of the detectors triggered a false alarm, some of them more than one. This makes the detectors very unreliable. In the same environment, the optex fx50sq performed much and much better being a lower end detector. So, do you know more about the unreliable function of the oml-dam as pir only? Is the pir only functionality in real world worser than the oml-am detector? Please help because even with those expensive and professional d…

I installed an I-on40 and two keypads, KP-01. I had a problem earlier in the year whereby the keypads beep indicating 'Duplicate Entry.' I tried replacing the keypads with a spare, but this did not resolve the issue. I had thought that it might be caused by line termination, so I changed that. It worked for several months, with one terminated and the other unterminated, but the 'Duplicate Entry'; has returned. KP1 is located about 1 meter away from the I-on40; KP2 is located about 10 meters away. KP1 is set to address 4; KP2 to address 2. The error occurs whether I try setting or unsetting the I-on40 either manually, by typing in the code, or by using a fob.

Hello I have an Ademco Vista, I need to replace it. We have a 4 bed house, probably about 7 PIR's. What kind of system can I put in to replace it? I'm not sure what type the bell box is, maybe you can deduce that from the panel name. Currently connected to the Vista is receiver and speaker which is used with a IR/Radio keyfob to arm/disarm. Ideally we'd like to replace that with a similar system, and additionally put in a dialler. Regarding diallers, is there a DECT version, our phone line is not next to the panel? Cheers Andrew

I just bought a SPC4320, SPCN310, SPCK623. The read me first datasheet tells: " you must ensure the peripheral firmware revision is the same as, or greater than the firmware revision of the SPC controller". On my SPC4320 controller, the firmware is V3.4.5. What must the firmware version for the SPCN310 and SPCK623? I tell this question because, the SPCN310 is in fault (error code E51) and the SPCK doesn't make voice annuniciation. What does error code E51 means? Thanks in advance SM
