  1. have you followed the factory reset procedure in the manual?
  2. does the unit respond to a ping when plugged into the ethernet? (ie wired) any additional infomation you can provide on when it failed, ie circumstances any info even if it seems irrelevant can help etc.
  3. No not on that unit. The alarm on basic units is purly per camera. On more advanced units you can call presets and have multiple alarms per camera.
  4. vat not at all, i was just trying to express that few of these types of issues result in a faulty component. The pet sensors are slight;y slower in detection terms than the non pet but obviously not as bad as you were expereinceing. Anywaqy im glad you got it sorted. re the 5 yr thing. That is usually down to the lens. The plastic in the lens 'can' be attacked by uv, so if the lens experiences exposure to UV (direct / indirect sunlight) then it can attack and damage the lens. This will then cause issues re focusing for the pyro. The batteries will need to replaced between 3 and 5 yrs depending on activity. Support
  5. puzzled Your rma is 1247625 I will get returns to contact you to arrange a swap
  6. Geert I have cancelled your order. However id be interested where we failed? i notice you selected to pay by bank transfer but no payment was recieved so the order was 'awaiting transfer'
  7. Jo The user manual download links only work when ordered on their own. ie not with non downloadable products. As its a free item, if you reorder that manual on its own the system will automatically provide the download link.
  8. Yes it will need replacing. If you let me know your order number i will get returns to contact you and arrange a swap. re the 7550's they will be fine at 2.1m Support
  9. it will only run on batteries for about 12 hours, so you do need a std mains supply for the panel. keypanel wise you can either use the arming station only or the 2 way keypad.
  10. you wont be able to get spares for your 9800 anymore, but you could as coopers say use a standalone rf reciever and peripherals. Support
  11. adam YOu need to stay with the same brand with wireless, ie only a texecom receiver can recieve texecom signals etc. Id have a look at the scantronic homelink 55, or the risco 595 with a wireless expander as they have the peripherals you require. Support
  12. alarmman Depends on the complaint etc. BUt assuming the complaint is resolved and the client wqent straigh to ssaib before trying to resaolve any issue with you then id say no. Assuming you comply with any instructions from the SSAIB you should be fine. Support
  13. when you say 'power went off' do you mean the supply to it, or the power went off to the building. WHat is the power supply?
  14. Ok let me know how that goes. re interference. No. Being a passive device (Passive infra red) they cannot transmit anything to interfere with another unit, like say a dualtec could. Its technially possible with wireless that the signals could collide but that would not affect the led and they retransmit anyway. Support
  15. David Thanks for that, glad your sorted. Support
  16. Mike RMA for this order 1247627 Authorised Reason Would prefer to swap for a panel with outputs. If you send that panel back in original packing complete etc, and the reorder the panel you prefer. Support
  17. Mike Yes you can. do you have your order number for me to generate an RMA Support
  18. Oh i see. Yes your quite right the optima compact does not have the additional outputs. This is on the larger panels only. from manual
  19. Mike The optima compact is correct and does match the description. Im not sure i understand the question as it will work with a dialler, and the optima even has dedicated outputs even though most people just connect it to the bell output. You do not need an interface. Support
  20. 1. Both IMO 2. No you will need to size the battery for the system. Or as you say just use a 7A/h 3. No, pro pirs have moulded backplates to allow corner or wall mounting. Brackets are ill advised as a rule as it allows easy tampering or chnage of coverage without an alarm. 4. if you want a more flexiblke panel id look at the texecom premier. There are others, such as the galaxy etc that are more powerful but the manuals with any texecom product are excellent. Support
  21. excelent. Glad your sorted. Support
  22. voulco The system you list is compatible, but you will need a battery for the panel. I would also advise an internal sounder. Using a 16 Ohm speaker is usual here. But in answer to your points:- 1. Only so that you can use a proximity fob at the keypad instead or as well as a pin code. 2. you would only need 2 to increase range. I would expect 1 to be more than sufficeint for most applications 3. yes 4. We will belisting the honeywell sounders shortly, no reason they are not currently listed just through lack of demand. 5. Pro pirs have a moulded backplate to allow corner or wall fixing. Adjustment is rarly required at std mounting heights 6. yes Support
  23. vat Sorry if you feel i was questioning your credabilty as that was not my intention. To be clear if we feel the sensors are faulty we will swap them. I was just trying to make you aware of a std returns procedure as im sure you understand most parts are returned without fault. However. re my temprature comment. (mainly as i dont know what country your in etc) To clarify a PIR works by detecting an increase or decrease in temprature withont he detection pattern. As a rule this is 1.6 - 2 degrees different. Human body temperture is 37 degrees C So in a room measuring 37 degrees it would be impossible for a pir to detect a naked human. However this is rarley the case. Usually you may have an ambient temp of 37, but the walls would be cooler, the windowa warmer etc. The clothing of the target would also be cooler, but without the contrast between the 2 tempratures then detection is impossible. When visonic read this they will confirm this. However. You also have temprature compensation. This increases the detection sensitivty of the detector as the ambient temp increases. This then lowers the 1.6 degrees to say 1 and beyond to ensure a detection. However that doesnt help us resolve the current issue. IM not convinced myself at this point the units are faulty but for goodwill etc will authorise an RMA. This will give you option 1. I will be happy to post my findings when they are tested, but it will purly be for infomation purposes. Please understand i was trying to get the bottom of the issue as 90% of the time its a setup or mounting height issue, not faulty components. Im sure you can understand this. James Support
  24. sounds like they need to be swapped. Did you have the pet versions for any reason? Pet versions are a lot slower for obvious reasons Also what size rooms are they in. A sensor is designed to detect 2 steps accross the detector. They are slower directly towards them etc, that is why placement is important. Also you say the room is hot, how hot? you are right that sensors do struggle as the room approaches body temprature. Its difficult for us to know how your testing etc, but if you are sure they are faulty then we will swap them, however we will test them on return for a fault.
