  1. Danny Can you tell me what panel this is on etc. or let me know your order number and i can look it up.
  2. The current bell should be fine, however some older bells (ie solonoid based) will damage newer system. However id assume as you had an optima before that it is a modern type sounder and as such should be fine. No the unit does not come with a battery, and only a 2.1-2.3 A/h will phsically fit inside the control panel. It wires the same as the old optima, its a double pole based system so will wire identically. Support
  3. I cant comment on the pricing, but you are correct we do have a price promise and if you can find it cheaper anywhere else we will beat it. A lot of the manufacturers have had price increases though and i wouldnt be suprised if scantronic has also. I beleive its to do with the weak
  4. I would suggest you have shorted out the 12v supply. this will either have blown the 12v fuse or the psu. First of all check all fuses with a multimeter. do not just replace the fuse you need to check the wiring etc and remove the fault. if the fuises pass check, then meter the 12v supply. if this has 0v then im afraid the psu has failed.
  5. we can help with programming etc, however it is assumed that you have basic installation and fault finding skills. its impossible for us to offer support on the basics, due to the lack of understanding. also pro gear is not designed to survive incorrect termination. We cannot cover damage like this under warranty. the outputs on the panel as 12v you will need either a 12v contactor or an intermediate relay. Support
  6. it totally depends on the load and length. I would normally use .75mm or 1.0mm flex. Support
  7. Each device should have its own spur for isolation etc. Support
  8. I wouldnt advise trying to install pro gear as a DIY'er, as support is impossible. The master blasters will be fine and will run from the panel (ie the 12v relays) however you will need something to switch your floodlights. THis could be a contacter or a gjd switcher. Support
  9. dan the line voltage is not really relevant when working out pa load. as a rough guide the higher the line voltage the lower the volt drop. each speaker etc will add load to the line. as an easy calc if your amp has more power than your total load then your fine. just be cautious not to over drive. Support
  10. Scott Any panel that has a keyswitch input can be configured this way. ie the texecom premier. Support
  11. On that sounder when you open the tamper switch it removes the hold of power. This can be used to test the battery in the sounder etc. It is normal. The oddy bells from texecom have an overide feature to prrevent this used with a texecom panel. Support
  12. Thanks for the follow up John James
  13. IMO = In My Opinion eg http://www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=84
  14. Will do. James
  15. Yes standard sensors will be triggered by cats, foxes etc. However risco make a unit called the watchout that is designed to ignore cats etc. However deer is a different matter. The target size and density is similar to a person. If you have deer then a PIR is not a viable solution IMO. You should be looking at active beams. Support
  16. biax Im afraid i cant do anything myself on your refund, or track it as it was a bank transfer. I have emailed accounts and will let you know when i know. Sorry James
  17. The part you require is a Part No. 485127 It is not included as standard with any of the 9448's Its not a stock item im afraid for us.
  18. might be possible on an old one, but the new one are a re a bit advanced to be modified much and continue to work. You might be bale to use a modern one and remove the pyro, this would fool the unit into thinking the pir was not functioning and work with its only remaining technology. However I have never done this. James
  19. Dave. Im sorry i dont deal with returns. I will speak to them and update you. James
  20. Your right with a microwave, however i dont know of a microwave only detector anymore. Many years ago RACAL made one. Can you not use an external sensor?
  21. I will John Yes
  22. thanks ill check on monday. James
  23. Yes that is a complaint panel
  24. This topic has been moved to Intruder Alarms. [iurl]http://www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/forums/index.php?topic=309.0[/iurl]
  25. There isnt a wiring diagram as such for a dual com, but i have attached a drawing of the device connections. You would normally connect it via the control panel outputs and power etc
