[Ticket Question] Mini GEN4

What would you get?
Im a bit of a galaxy fan so i would say the galaxy. eg. galaxy 2 or dimension eg http://www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=193 or http://www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=2064 if using the dimension that will take touchscreens (1 per line so 1 on the Dimension 48 up to 4 on the 520) the G2 wont take a touchscreen Both panels will accept additional MK7 keypads / keyprox's http://www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=699 Quad pir wise you have quite a choice. It does depend on your environment, use etc. Not all quad sensors are created equal. Dualtec wise for an outhouse id recommend a DT74 series ie http://www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=1676 Internal door contacts to suit the door. again depends on application Garage door. You can use a std door contact but id recommend using a roller shutter type. Panic button, do you want single push double push etc? Whole seperate topic here IMHO Txt / speech dialler Both the galaxy units above have built in modems for sms via a landline. They also have built in digital comm units so can be set to signal an arc as std. Listen in function. To do this properly you would need the audi confirm module on the dimension and microphones in the relevant areas. SOme diallers have a very basic version of this functionallity ie the pyronix speech dialler and the better menvier units. Dial in arm etc. You cant do this on the galaxy without the pc software. If you want to dial in, then only the rf panels offer this, ie visonic powermax and the risco wisdom. There is a web client though for the scantronic ION40 unit. wired/wireless the dimension and the g2 will accept rf expanders making them into hybrid panel. The GD-48 is a fine high end panel. it may be overkil but that depends on your requirments. I have a dimension at home myself.

[Ticket Question] what cable for low voltage Access Control
Chris The power requirments of the keypad itself are very low. The main value to consider is the current required by the lock. 0.5mm flex would be fine for this purpose, however is the run is short then std alarm cable is normally used. YOu may need to parralel up cores if the volt drop is too large.

9448+ adding a new zone
I dont know of a professional grade door alarm unit sorry.
-
9448+ adding a new zone
i dont think you can omit the entry zone on a 9448. If you just wanted that zone on then yes you would have to omit all the other circuits. You may be better of with a more powerful panel that allows multiple part sets

[Ticket Question] Mini GEN4
15v is too high but id assume that is your meter. If your panel is outputing 12 v- 14v normally id say there was a fault with the panel. Dont suppose you can attach a pic of how both sides are wired so i can double check them?
-
9448+ adding a new zone
You could reprogram the part set, but this panel only has a full set and 1 part set option you can add additional sensors assuming the panel has spare capacity. it will also accept additional keypads.

Hidden camera advice
Id say probably not as unless your planning on taking the fresnel lens out and putting something else in its place that the cam can look through. Are they pinhole board cameras? Also re the regs etc, you do have a duty of care to make him aware of them etc. Just be very careful with coverts in a public place.
-
Hidden camera advice
There are plenty of covert cams available in pir's smoke detectors, junction boxes etc. But i dont know of any manufacturer that releases pir cases only. The best thing to hide them in, are things that are already there. Just a word of warning if its commercial and it sounds like it is, be very careful how you impliment this, there are regs etc you need to comply with.

Which key fob?
the grey fobs will work on the galaxy keyprox but not on a galaxy max reader, the black fobs work on both readers.

Want a complete alarm (galaxy) has I selected the right stuff?
It is technical possible but it requires a modification. (there is a programmable output on the mk7 but you cant wire to it) Best thing to do is either go from the panel itself or a RIO
-
EOL(9) wiring
Its not one of seen on a cpx but that usually means the pane has restarted due to corruption or a hardware issue.

EOL(9) wiring
Elaibe can you ask risco about the recorded one?

Want a complete alarm (galaxy) has I selected the right stuff?
The domonial rf kit is currently IMHO the best out there for range etc. However this will only function with the G2 galaxy range via an RF portal. On the dimension you can use a radio rio, but IMHO i would avoid the old radio rio and either use a standalone reciever and pir or use a G2. if using standalone you could use a http://www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&manufacturers_id=68&products_id=2126 then you could use a visonic wireless pir with that. there is also an 8 channel version.

[Ticket Question] Scantronic 714r
Stefano how are you testing the response. ie if you cause a tamper when the panel is out of engineer mode what is the response?
-
EOL(9) wiring
Arif, do you have problems with your post?
-
EOL(9) wiring
Elaine, am i right in thinking from above that risco have previously sent these out the post, and we have also sent some? When did we send them?
-
Is this faulty?
Do you have a powermax or a powermax plus? The wireless external sounder will not enroll on a powermax (old version ie non plus) nor will it enroll on eraly firmware powermax plus units.
