  1. the homelink wont do remote connections without an arc. so you would need to add a speech dialler to most panels. the risco / eurosec cpx has a wireless reciever option (making it hybrid) built in speech dialler etc so would probably be better suited to your application.
  2. stability, blown regulators, fuse failure.
  3. most vibration detectors are 12v devices as you note like pir's you can get 2 wire non powered vibration devices such as http://www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&manufacturers_id=59&products_id=737 but these require an analyser (some panels have built in analysed zone inputs) An analyser allows connection of these vibration units to a conventional alarm panel. http://www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&manufacturers_id=59&products_id=2125 You can also series connect addional vibration units on the same cable. One point to remeber is as tyhe intelligence is at the analyser all devices will be set to the same sensitivity on an input.
  4. Sales will be able to update if this product is available in the UK. From a technical point of view the device you have highlighted wont work in your application as its a combined non analysed sensor. If this is cabled back to the panel on its own wire and enough cores are available then yes it would work.
  5. Derry We can support your query here or you can open a support ticket. You can also request a call back if needed. if your order has been stalled id assume its because its a first order and you want it sent somewhere other than the billing address?
  6. Unfortunalty if you need a power supply, you need a power supply. Only way to be sure is to measure what your currently drawing in day mode and alarm. Then you can decide if you need on or not. re expander wise. Assuming your panel has the capacity you need one of these http://www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=366 this will give you 8 circuits and you can fit this in the loft and connect your smoke sensors to it. James
  7. The 4 uses a back strobe, ie no lens but the whole of the backplate should flash. However units with strobe lens's are more visible in the daylight. The oddy series all use xenon tubes ie not LED. You can disconnect the internal battery but that will remove some protection for the bell, ie if the unit is removed from the wall it would use its internal battery to self actuate. If you remove this then it cant. Datasheet is at the bottom of the page for that product see http://www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=335
  8. There is nothing wrong with scantronic sensors at all. I was just providing an example. with all pro panel you can use virtually any hardwired pro sensor. There is no requirement with hardwired to use all equipment from the same manufacturer. ie not all manufactures make panels and sensors, ie optex dont make a panel as far as i know. The air movement id expect from a fish tank would be minimal so i wouldnt worry. Unless its like a fan heater! There shouldnt be a need for pet tolerant sensors with a fish tank as they are behind glass. I am generalising as i havnt seen your application. James
  9. Id agree with you. Might want to look at the M12 unit as that is programmable for fixed heat/rate of rise heat/smoke and/or any combination so covers most installs. Glad your sorted. James
  10. when you say you have wired to zone 3 do you mean you have connected A & B to zone 3? you will need to program the zone. The only things i can suggest is test the relay on the detector with a meter. Also your panel isnt in EOL configuration is it? How are you testing it? and where are you expecting the sound to come from, ie of the panel is programmed for double pole and correctly set up, disconnecting A or B should result in an alarm at the panel.
  11. good! yes the panel comes with user and engineer manuals
  12. Derry Yes the accenta can be programmed for 0-99 minutes of bell delay. However id urge caution on its use on a non police response system
  13. no the fish tanks should be fine. As long as there is no air movement from them. Also a PIR will not detect through glass. example detector http://www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=1007
  14. lol Anytime James
  15. Its not zoneminder for windows but a frontend for a zoneminder unit. http://www.zoneminder.com/wiki/index.php/ZM4MS
  16. Jiroma Its page 38 in the engineering manual Its in the part set menus
  17. Lingo Yes it is something that we do. You need to raise a support ticket asking for a vat free account. Please include your vat number and compnay details etc on the ticket. Once that has been approved your account will be set to vat free. James Support
  18. Done. Renamed *.zzz sent to both address's I will edit your email address in the above post to prevent abuse. James
  19. Lorand I did email it. However gmail sent me this back If you have an alternative address you can let us have, or i can send you a link for direct download over pm. James
  20. Lorand I have emailed you a version zipped using a lower compression. Let me know how you get on. James
  21. If i recall. (i dont have access to my manuals) then B1 and B2 are output 1 and 2. These are then programmed as bell and strobe by default.
  22. anytime Stuart James
