Elaine, am i right in thinking from above that risco have previously sent these out the post, and we have also sent some? When did we send them?
-
Do you have a powermax or a powermax plus? The wireless external sounder will not enroll on a powermax (old version ie non plus) nor will it enroll on eraly firmware powermax plus units.

Want a complete alarm (galaxy) has I selected the right stuff?
Secware_Tech6 replied to Bernt's topic in Intruder Alarms
Bernt 1. The panel has a PSU but you will need a battery. You need to size the battery to suit the system. The Dimension will support upto a 17A/h 2. 868MHz but the domonial RF equipment is currently only supported on the G2, not the dimension...yet 3. You can use any wireless PIR as long as you use the same brand/compatible rf reciever. THis can then be wired into a circuit. 4. I think you will need an external sounder. ALso it is more usual to use a speaker connected the panel speaker outputs. -
if your using normal double resistor eol then you will need 2 resistors. one across the contacts, the other in series. If its a grade 1 contact then there wont be tamper connections as such
-
no std door contacts do not require power and they are normally closed devices (ie in a closed state when the door is closed, opening on alarm)
-
Yes all panels come with either a paper install manual or a pdf version
-
Im afraid we (securitywarehouse) can only supply an engineering manual for products previously purchased.
-
no there isnt any instructions in the contact as they are a std format. Your risco manual will show this however

While it is possible. the checkout complete email is a general email sent on all orders. ie regardless of payment method. If we added that info to the checkout complete email then customers paying by credit card etc would get info on bank transfer procedure. I feel this would cause more confusion. I think this would need a little more thought. We do have this infomation in the ticket system. James

I need to return an item, how do I do this? Returning items to security warehouse is simple. All you need is an RMA number from technical support. Login to our ticket system and request an RMA. Please include the reason for the return on the RMA ticket. How long will it take for my return to be processed? We aim to process returns with 4 working days. Your support ticket and order will be updated throughout this process. However if items are returned without an RMA number then this takes us considerable time to rectify. Why does my first order have to be delivered to my Credit/Debit card / PayPal billing/confirmed address? By delivering your first order to your billing/confirmed address it enables us to complete the final stages of our security checks and also helps us offer you the service of delivering any subsequent orders to the address of your choice (within the UK). My order is due for delivery today what time will it be delivered? Your order will be delivered between the hours of 9am and 5.30pm, unless a delivery time was selected at the time of checkout. You can track the status of your order or delivery at any time by logging into your account. What happens to my order if I am not in when the courier attempts to deliver it? If you are not in when our courier attempts delivery they will leave a calling card which will provide you with a direct contact number for your local depot. You then simply call them to arrange an alternative delivery date or to collect the parcel directly from your local depot, which they will be more than happy to help you with. Why can't I log into my account? If you are having problems logging into your account first check that the email address and password you are using. You may also find it useful to refer to the information included in the "Welcome to SecurityWarehouse" email you received when you registered with Security Warehouse. If you have forgotten your password you can reset it by following the forgotton password link. This will email you a new password. Why can I not amend my order after I it has been marked 'Payment Processed' or 'Pending' (paypal only) We are unable to make any amendments to the order (other than cancellations) due to our internal security policy. In addition to our policy Pay Pal and your credit card company provide us only with enough money to fulfill your initial order therefore no further payment can be taken for additional items or shipping costs.

No a battery is not included with the 9448. From time to time there are offers where we do, but there isnt one on that panel at the moment.

Pete If its a eurosec and not a eurosec CPX then yes that keypad is compatible. Also your detector is compatible. Tech

Castle Care-Tech Euro Mini - error 485 COMMNS LOST
Secware_Tech6 replied to mel's topic in Intruder Alarms
If the system is set then yes. If it isnt then the externals should not sound. -
veritas 8 or honeywell accenta are good bottom end panels. I would say though that the manuals provided with texecom kit are better for the beginner

Castle Care-Tech Euro Mini - error 485 COMMNS LOST
Secware_Tech6 replied to mel's topic in Intruder Alarms
You have a 485 line problem, either hardware or cable. I would disconnect both keypads at the panel and then wire one of them directly to the panel on a short lead. Try both keypads independantly. -
Yes that looks fine. You will need some expanders as it looks like you have 22 detection devices but only 8 circuits onboard your panel. Texecom Expanders http://www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/index.php?main_page=advanced_search_result&search_in_description=1&keyword=premier+zone+expander
-
No that feature is only on texecom panels
-
Sorry thats the only one that we currently supply. Its works in the same way, ie it chimes when a compatible sensor is triggered.
-
There are various units that do this. Is it something like this? http://www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&manufacturers_id=84&products_id=954

Sorry , i read that as a blp. You are right it is a dualtec so yes it is as a general statement suitable. Multicore cable is used for additional circuits etc. As a general rule you would use 6 core. On an EOL panel this would allow a spare pair at each device. Bellbox wise Yes you do pretty much get what you pay for as with most things. Customers tend to choose bellboxes based on apperance, sound output and current draw. Also installers like to identify their systems with same bell etc, that is why you have multiple covers for the same sounders.
-
Andy ill try to answer your questions below 1, Its not normally a good idea to use a PIR in a garage due to the environment. Id advise a dualtec based detector. 2, Keypads are not interchangable normally. they will only work on the panel they are designed for. In this case the texecom premier 3, Any panel that supports prox can do this, ie texecom premier, honeywell galaxy. Even the humble accenta can. 4, Depends on the risk. Insurance co's tend to prefer external doors as well as space protection. It is general good practice. 5, Yes, IMHO Texecom premier is a fine panel. Panel choice is a difficult one. Its what your trained on / used to generally. For example while the prem is a fine panel i dont have one at home. I have a galaxy dimension. Recommending kit for a site I havnt seen or know little about is difficult. Might be better to upload a site plan? so we can get a feel for the risk etc

you cant wire the fire alarm panel directly to any 12v sounder as its 24v. It will damage the sounder. YOu could however use a 24v relay on the fire panel to give you a clean contact to switch the sounder from the intruder power supply. But id just wire into a zone on the panel programmed as fire.
-
If your using an eol panel then Yes std door contacts do not include eol resistors.

Ravis I have just checked and i think you have your prices wrong. Ours is lower for a 4e and a cover, and with our flat rate shipping of 3.99 our delivery is significantly less also. James
