Intruder Alarms

I just received my Visonic Tower PIR, and I'm nut quite sure it is operation correctly. I installed the PIR as per instructions, about 2,3 meters up and with an angle setting of 5. This should give me at least a +/- 10 meter 90 degrees coverage. While in test mode it already showed "blank" areas where detection failed, and fully operational it will erractically detect motion (I keep in minde the 2 minute reset period after initial motion detection). Sometimes it will only detect motion within a few inches, sometimes not at all. I would be grateful for advice in this matter. Regards,

Hi i would like to buy the gardtec 595 with 5 motion detectors and a siren which should be high dbl? What is the price for the system and will you deliver it. i would like the fobs with it and the card to arm it and dis-arm it too, does this come with the kit? I purchased a Veritas Excel panel with LCD keypad (order number 18090). On powering up the system for the first time, the keypad remains blank and does not display any text. The three LEDs on the side are lit and the keypad is illuminated and accepts key presses. Am I missing a configuration step somewhere or is the keypad/panel faulty?

I have recently purchased a Menvier SD3 dialler from you to use with a Honeywell GD4 Accenta alarm system. My electrician has successfully configured the Accenta Alarm outputs to work correctly with the SD3 dialler (texting and calling fine), but is having some trouble workling out how to connect the SD3 outputs as required as the manual does not give a great deal of info. I understand that the outputs are open collector and therefore will need a suitable relay to provide a clean switch. Can you please recommend any particular relay modules (boards) for connection of the following outputs: 1 - To control heating system on/off 2 - Wired back to Accenta panel as Panic …

I have an application where the customer has a wired system and wants a sensor put on a door but doesn't want a wire running across or in the wall. Is there a wireless door contact that can tx to a receiver that interfaces to the wired system ? Regards.

Hi, I am moving a scantronic panel a couple of foot away and I will be powering the system down. The issue is I don't want to climb ladder to disable the bellbox. Can I just short the Tamper and 0V from the bellbox to stop the SAB ringing. Any Advice will be appriciated thanks.

I want to use 12volt bells as my warning devices but I've been told that they will burn out the microprocessors on modern control panels. Is this just a way for the trade installer to put me off doing it myself or is there any truth in what he's saying.
