In your opinion,which pet PIR tends to work the best and is more reliable for a wired system.I have looked at Bosch,Honeywell,Visonic and Texecon but info is not conclusive.Thanks

I have installed, approx 9 years ago, a scantronic 500r.+ system and have had the remote control stolen during a break in. My fear is they will return. Is it possible replace the control box with a new one in order to make the remote U/S, Or is it possible to disable the remote. I have 4 PIRs one door sensor and a remote key pad. Sorry I have marked this high but having just lost a new car do not wish then to re-visit disble the alarm and clear the rest of the house. Thank you for your time.

I have a domestic Itec Horizon alarm system with shock sensors wired on every window and door sensors on the front and back door. The systen does not use PIR's. The main Horizon box has developed a fault and I understand these are quite old now and no longer available. Can you tell me what a modern equivalent system is that would be compatible with the existing installation - ie the window and door sensors and the price?

can these Honeywell Intellisense DT 7450 pir be used in conservatories or can you reconmend one. I am working on an alarm that has a pir in the conservatory but it keeps going off.

I am assembling the individual components of the Optima 4 kit minus the SAB strobe. I am substituting the Odyssey 3E, as I already have the diamond shaped cover. I have found all the components but not an exact match for 2.1Ah battery and surface door contact - could you advise which battery model and which surface contact model I should order?

how do i clear an error - it states z03 alarmed - living room and says 'alarm in memory'. i also have a s01 tamper/open error [its the back pin i think - box is fixed back to pebble dash wall and the pins clearly not pushed in.] - not sure if it can be adjusted - instructions arent that clear... if i sort out the external box, will this then clear the issue/problem i have with the living room and allow me to set the alarm??

Hi! Bought a Visonic Powermax+ alarm from you and have run into some problems regarding master installer code and installer code. The problems shows on both the central unit and the keypad unit. When I installed the alarm, I (of course) changed the default codes to my own. However, as far as I can remember I only changed 2 codes where off one being the user code and the other one either the master installer or the installer code. Now I can't seem to access the alarm using the other alternative of installer codes. I would be glad if you could give me some hints to where I've gone wrong. I purchased a Aritech 4 zone analyser from your company to find it does not work correctly i.e you can bang on the window HARD around 20 times and the analyser will only just trigger and that is on max sensitivity. 2nd i never got instructions with the unit just wiring diagram and also your advert on your website tells you so many things that this unit will do but clearly it wont like pulse count adjustment and LED indicator. The only unit which does all this is the single channel GS615 which i have used for 15 years.
