Intruder Alarms

Hi A friend of mine has bought a shop with a g3 alarm panel. Nobody knows the codes to use the alarm. I have tried various engineer codes but none work. Is there a way round this or is it a new main panel job. Thanks

Hi, how is this alarm armed and disarmed? Does the alarm come with all of the parts to mount it to a wall? How loud is the alarm? We have an external light which sometimes comes on at night if our neighbour walks into his garden, would this light coming on at night time trigger the alarm? i look forward to hearing from you.

Hello I have A CRT800 domonial intruder alarm system, it came out of the house of my girlfriend (we are living together now) And I thought ill build it in our house, It has enough doorsensors IRsensors etc, TAG reader and 3 tags It was a system with a subscription with (S.....s) But I encounterd some difficulties, first I needed the program to reprogram the system, via via I found DOMOPC. This works, but the cable I had to make was an different problem, I made a cable with the pinlayout that came with the software, and I can see some communication between the program and the system, but it fails over and over. I have a client who has an existing alarm system with a eurosec keypad, PR5208 rev 1.0. The keys 2 & 5 have given up working, so we need to replace just the keypad. Is the "Risco Gardtec Eurosec LCD Keypad" product that you sell the right one, or do i need the other one you sell that is for CPX and GTag? Also the original company to fit the system are no longer around, would you have a copy of the installer manual with the default master/installer code as i quite expect that taking the old pad off the wall will set off the system and as the buttons dont work i'll need to reset it all.

How do these watches operate pleae. I cannot see any buttons on side, do you press the pad which is the face of the watch? Thanks for your help

I have installed the door contact (to replace one that ceased to operate). I have followed the "deleting" and "learning" instructions for my 500r panel and acheived the "double beep" to indicate that the panel has learned the code. However when the panel is "set", although all other sensors set off the alarm when activated, the door sensor does not activate the alarm on door opening or tamper (the led on the sensor does operate). Please advise what my next step should be.

Hi, I have just finished fitting a Honeywell Accenta Mini G4 with LCD control panel system to my house. I have got to the point of powering the system up and setting it up. The manual says "check that the factory fitted links are connected to the terminals PA, TAMP and T-A. I have fitted it to PA, the TAMP connections are being used for the other sensors on the system, and the T-A terminals are wired to the Bell Box. I then connect the mains power and the battery. The manual says there should be an audible indication, which there is. The 'power' light on the G4 main unit illuminates. The LCD keypad lights up and displays "Accenta G4 RKP F131-01-111". My keypad has given up the ghost with some butons not working so I cannot disable the alarm with the code. I've taken off the keypad and it has 4 wires connected. It looks very simple to replace so is it simply a case of buying a replacement and installing in the same manner? When I reconnect the power and the alarm starts going, I should be able to enter my code and all is back to normal? Or is it more complicated than that? I've been quoted for a replacment & fitting but it seems such a simple job to do yourself. Do I need to be aware of anything else?

Do you sell a Visonic Powermax Complete Kit?

Just bought a Powermax+ with some sensors and a GSM module. I wonder if I can connect both the control panel and the GSM module to the same powersupply, thus reducing the number of wires needed. One possible solution would be to connect the power to the control panel, and then another wire from the control panel (2 wires at the same connectionpoint) to the GSM module. Another way would be to use some sort of "Y" connection to route power to both consumers.

I have a Veritas alarm believed to be the r8 which is around 12 years old and ready for an upgrade. Is it possible to use the lcd keypad as an additional rkp on this unit or do I need to stick with the original keypad with led's? Helps would be appreciated. I don't really want to upgrade the main pcb etc. Thanks.

Am i right in thinking the internal sounder should sound along with the external when the alarm is triggerd? since mine doesnt, all it seems to do is the chime facility. daniel

I have the Honeywell ADE LCD Accenta 4 x Pet PIR Starter Kit, when looking at the instructions, it say the Tamper network should be series connected, if thats the case why is there no single core wire in the kit?

Hi I need to default and reprogram an Avanti LC 8 zone alarm panel, it has an LED remote keypad and plastic end station. Building has been empty for some time and it was completely powered down. We have no record of any of the previous codes....anyone got an installation manual please?
