  2. I am about to order the Scantronic Homelink 55 from your site but have a couple of questions... Can I add an extra keypad with prox reader? The description of the Homelink mentions only the 9940 and 41 but they are no longer available I think? Will the Scantronic PIR's (wired types) work OK with the system, as I only need wireless contacts for the doors, all other sensors will be wired? Any recommendations for a suitable external sounder?

  3. Hi I am looking for an alarm for a workshop/shed, 1 opening window, 1 fixed window and double doors. I have used Scantronic previously and therefore would like the following:- Scantronic 9448, with 2 contact switches, a glass break sensor, Elmdene INT400 and a battery. (I have avoided PIR\\\'s because of false alarms) Could you advise if this is suitable or are there better options, please advise battery type for above.

  7. I have bourght quite a few of these & on wiring & checking them find none sound when tested. All you get is a constant lit LED. Is there a possiblity that all are faulty or has someone designed the ultimate pointless product? If one went into alarm I'd expect all linked alarms to sound. Is this not the case with all linked 12v linked detectors?

What pir's can I use for hard wire please, and are there pet friendly ones ? Which hard wired external alarm can I buy with this ? Are all batteries included with the system please ? Wanting to buy the visonic plus control panel, 5 wireless door contacts, brown colour, 2 wireless pet tolerant pir's, 1 hard wired pir, 1 wired external alarm, 1 dummy alarm box, and 2 key fobs / Can you give me the best options kit wise, and cheapest way of buying these, and total costs please ? Thanks, Alan. alanbl@sky.com

  11. Proposed Gargage Alarm System Before placing a package order I just need to confirm that the Scantronic 9651EN-43 Panel will support 2 x remote extension speakers. I note it has 3 fully programmable outputs, I need a volt free relay / contact output (N/C healthy) Open Circuit on alarm condition for remote signalling to an existing Scantronic 9752 panel located in the house (this will then represent a seperate zone alarm, just like say a PIR in alarm condition going from N/C to open circuit) - please could you advise, order ready to go.

  12. Currently have A Veritas R8plus 10 years old that is now faulty. Would like to replace with a new one, is current model a direct replacement to old. Does new unit come with battery. Can it be replaced by DIY

  13. Started by securitywarehouse,

I'm looking for the ProMax / Visonic Complete system, preferably in a kit, but I can't seem to find it at your site. Is this system something you are selling or do I need to look somewhere else? If you do, can you please point me where to find prices and so on. I'm also wondering about the price on the Visonic PowerMax Pro system. You seem to have very competative pricing on the other stuff your selling, so that's why I'm interested.

  14. Pyronix PCX SMS 8 - 26 zone Grade 2 Communicating Alarm Control

  18. Started by Nix,

Hi all - first post here. Does anyone know if the Scantronic CS 430 pet immune PIR is the same as the Visonic K9-85? Wanted to buy the Visonic K9-85 on Security Warehouse but can't see it in the listings but the Scantronic is. Looks the same. As does the K9-80 with the Scantronic CS 440. I seem to remember that Scantronic and Menvier merged into one effectively but something tells me that Visonic are also with these guys too? Never ever had a problem with the K9-85's. Thanks.

  19. Hi, i purchased the simpleset reader with a G4 accent mini system in November 2009. I installed the system in January all worked great with 2 keypads and the simpleset at the front door exit point. This morning my wife set the alarm with the keyfob and returned 30 minutes later went to unset the alarm and it would not work.It just has a power on light and nothing else. All other aspects are fine and have tried a number of trouble shooting tests but its useless. Reading the forums, someone has had the same fault with a new item. Is the item under a 12 month warranty/replacement? We now cannot use the alarm which is a little worrying! Many thanks for your help.

  20. can you suggest a good quility wired alarm system for 5x pir, 2x remote key pads, or 5 x pir, 1 x remote key pad, and a key fob which could be up graded for a dialler as well .

  21. was hoping you sold the Visonic K9-85 pet immune PIR's but noticed the Scantronic CS430's that look almost identical on your listings (same can be said of Visonic K980 and Scantronic CS440). Can't remember if Cooper are now the same as Visonic but my question is, are they the same? Thanking you in advance,

  22. We have a scantronic 9448 alarm system and have recently had a new front door fitted. The original door was solid wood and had a door sensor fitted into the top of the door. Our new door is upvc and we require a flush fitting sensor which can be connected to the existing wiring. Please advise on which item we should select.

  23. I have put this on the forum before and never got a reply, so please help. Hi, I am told with this system, powermax plus, I can get Pir's to hard wire. 24. Hi - I have a Scantronic 500r+ wireless alarm system - and need to add a new movement detector sensor to the system for our kithen. Ive looked on your website and there seem to be a number of different movement detectors that go with Scantronic wireless systems - so wondered if you could advise which one would be best to add to out system. Our present detectors are all square-ish - and there are a couple that look similar - but could you pl let me have a model no I should order? Could you either pl email me or leave a message on the above mobile. Thanks.

  25. We have purchased 4 x Texecom 3D PETWISE and 4 x Texecom 3D Quad PIRs (order number 22362) and we are in the process of installing the PIRs. All the PETWISE PIRs are working fine but only 1 out of 4 3D Quad PIRs are working. The 3 3D Quads don't have the LED lighting up when 12V DC power was applied. The LED jumper is ON but none of the 3 works. 3 failures out of 4 is pretty poor quality control. One of the three failed 3D PIRs bodies has been installed on the wall. Please advise if there is anything else that we need to check before returning them for warranty replacement.
