Intruder Alarms

The wiring diagrams are unclear for connecting the panel to the external sounder/bell box. The connections on the bell do not relate to the bell instructions. Can you tell me how to connect the two. On the ADE GEN 4 panel i have..... STROBE +VE STROBE -VE T A D B On the bell i have..... ST- R- SW- V+ V- Please tell me what connects to what........

I've just installed an Accenta G4 and have a problem using the set output with the latching option of the Texecom IMPAQ Plus detectors. The Accenta manual states that the set output is positive 12v upon successful set of the system and removed when a correct access code is entered. However when I test the output from the main board, it is 12v positive when the system is unset & removed once set, so opposite to what is stated in the manual. The detector instructions state the same as the Accenta manual for latching, positive when set, removed when unset. Is there a way of configuring this output or is it a fault with the Accenta as I can't find any reference to it i…

I have a Risco GT 595 and my installer has just gone out of business. I managed to get the engineer access code from him following his demise but this is of little use without an engineer installation manual or support from Risco. Not being a registered installer neither are available from Risco. Can I get these elusive commodities via Security Warehouse? many thanks recieved panic alarm fob today i recieved the 727r/728r i have registered te key fob to the alarm scantronic ion 16....however it does not arm or disarm the alarm i was wonderng if i had not done any thing obvious i also tried to add it as panic alarm that did not work. i was wondering if it could a faulty fob?

The transformer has failed in my old alarm. Looking at the Veritas Excel. Is this a straight swap? To the new alarm panels come with the battery or will i need to get one. Regards

I would like to purchase a system with 8 zones (7 for PIR and 1 for fire) and two remote control panels. An external bell sounder is not required but an internal one and alerts via the internet/e-mail would be required. Please could you recommend a system that would cover these requirements.

I moved into my current property and had an extension done to the building. As a result I haved added detectors (from SecurityWarehouse) to the alarm panel (Honeywell G2-12). However, when the alarm engineer attempted to access the menu, the code I was given was not working. Hence the engineer is locked out of the menu What is the best way to get into engineer menu and reprogramme the panel? any help would be appreciated?

Just installed accenta g4 with a keypad upstairs and one downstairs. When i power on the system i dont get any text on the display, just backlight nad the first line where text should be all dots are on. Both keypads are wired back to the panel. Has anybody seen this before?

Hi - wonder if anyone can help ? Just fitted this system - all is well, except I want to be able to set a chime against a zone when the system is in set mode. No problem setting a chime against a zone when unset but there doesnt appear to be an option to apply a chime to a zone when set. Is there anyway of doing that ? Regards
