many thanks recieved panic alarm fob today

i recieved the 727r/728r

 

i have registered te key fob to the alarm scantronic ion 16....however it does not arm or disarm the alarm i was wonderng if i had not done any thing obvious i also tried to add it as panic alarm that did not work.

 

i was wondering if it could a faulty fob?
