Risco gt595

???

I have a Risco GT 595 and my installer has just gone out of business. I managed to get the engineer access code from him following his demise but this is of little use without an engineer installation manual or support from Risco. Not being a registered installer neither are available from Risco. Can I get these elusive commodities via Security Warehouse? I notice that many Risco products listed on your site are Sold Out with the exception of user manuals. Is there a reason for this unusual demand?

To be specific about my need for information; an outbuilding satellite alarm system linked by radio to the main system seems to register as a tamper fault despite it being in good order. I have changed the transmitter batteries but without success. Does anyone have advice for me? Thanks

I'm afraid I can't help much with the Gardtec's. Have a look here for a programming manual for a panel

in the range. You'll find something.

Do you have the additional hybrid receiver ? Or is it a separate RF sensor wired into the panel ? If it's the hybrid, then you really need the PR5588 manual.  Couldn't find it myself though.

Thanks for advice I have downloaded installation manual for Gardtec 580 and it looks as though given its limited display compared with the 595 to have similar attributes . However I cannot yet see info on what steps to take to reset my 595 when a spurious tamper alarm from a stellite sytem triggers. The satellite is a Scantronic 9448 and communicates via Risco transmitter and receiver . The receiver is a separate addition to the main panel. Can any one help further?

I thought that information titled 're-learning in a transmitter' (from Risco site Frequently Asked Questions) might get me away - It seemed to say it is accomplished by setting and triggering the satellite alarm. Alas this has locked out alltogether the 595 master control system requiring an Anti-code to be discovered. This anti code obstacle seems to  disappear when I carry out the following procedure.

Enter engineer mode

Step through all functions but do nothing

Exit engineer mode

These steps together with the replacement transmitter battery fitted appears to have restore the system to normal functionality (with the satellite tamper alarm cancelled).

If anyone can help with Risco engineer information so that I do not have to stumble on solutions like this I would appreciate it as I have developments in mind for my security system which may cause problems with the 595 which are not so easily worked around with 'blind' keypad operations.
