Hi, I've had the above system fitted by ADT (it has the LCD radio keypad) and I was checking to see if your gray tags should work - that is, would ADT manage to disable tag use and programming on their equipment. They have already quoted a silly price for the radio tag (

I connected the power both the battery and the AC. When I later should install the GSM in the "menu# 6" (where I put in the numbers the alarm shall sms to) it

I have an Accenta G3 alarm with two unused zones and would like to extend the alarm into my garage with is inbuilt. There is a single wall (thermal block) between the garage and the location of the alarm panel. I would like to fit a door sensor and a PIR and also fit a very loud sounder in the garage. I have some basic door contact switches and have been looking at one of the 4 way 'sound bomb' sounders. Would these be suitable? what PIR type would I need there are no appliances in the garage. Also is there a cage available for the sounder as I wouldn't want someone to be able to just whack it with a broom handle to silence it? Any help appreciated…

  12. The system was installed and commissioned as part of a new build. When we moved into the building End of January 2011 we started to set the alarm. On two occasions the alarm has gone off in the middle of the night. on both occasions the keypad has been totally blank but still powered because you can see the back light. on both occasions the only way to stop the alarm has been to open the control panel and disconnect the battery. The electrician (that always fits rafiki alarms) on powering the system back up found that the system thought the keypad had been tampered with. The first time we thought it was the tamper sensor and adjusted it. The second time with the same faul…

  13. Started by Secware,

last April it has worked perfectly. However recently, although it texts me on arming and disarming, if I try to control the system remotely ie arm, disarm, status it fails to respond. This was a relatively expensive piece of equipment and although just over one year old, I would have expected it to have lasted longer than this. It is operating with a Premier 24 panel (although only partially now!)

  17. We have recently moved in to a house fitted with a Scantronic 9448 alarm system. We believe we need to replace the PIR detectors to pet tolerant ones (as we have two house cats) and I wanted to check before I go ahead and purchase them that the 430 PIR will be compatible with the existing system?

  22. Started by chri15athome,

Hi I am a newbie here, I had an older alarm panel and as the PIR's were rubbish I replaced all the PIR's with new Bosch ones, but the control panel tamper sensors have had it so now I need a new control panel. I would really like to fit a door contact or virbration sensor to the rear patio doors but it would be a real pain to get a cable to it. Are there any wireless panels that could accept wired and wireless sensors? I am happy with all the other sensors I have so I don't want to install a complete wireless system. Thanks for your help Chris

  23. Hi There! Possibly a stupid question but can you tell me if the Honeywell Galaxy Dimension GD-48C with Touchsceen Keypad Kit you list on the site includes the PSU. If not, can you recommend a suitable unit? Many thanks, Grant

  24. Started by Tandyd,

I am comparing the Galaxy Dimension with the G2-20 and G2-44 panels. Somewhat ironically, I cannot find the dimensions of the Dimension control panel box. Do you have this information (assume the GD-48 if other variants are larger)? And can the the inputs on all three panels (G2-20, G2-44 and GD-48) be expanded through adding a card into the main control panel box or is it necessary to fit another box? Thanks Tim
