Intruder Alarms

We have a optima xL4 MICROPROCESSOR alarm system. This keeps going off at various times during the day. We enter the code and reset only for it to go off again. none of the sensors are lit up (they used to have a red light on them) Please can you help as we are been woken at ridculous times in the night and have 2 young children !

Currently speech dialler used to inform of movement from CCTV through text. View CCTV from iphone and would like to communicate via loud speaker to intruder. What products do you suggest, and how to connect.

i am having a problem with a gardtec 370 panel ,when i come out of engineers mode,i have an internal sounder, and the figure 66 shows on the key pad display,can anyone please tell me what this is.

My external alarm bells (2 at high level)are not sounding when the system is activated/tripped.The internal bell on the panel are activated. Could the bells have been deactivated via the keyboard? If so could you please tell me how can they be reactivated. I had understood that if wires to alarm bell were cut the internal alarm would be activated.

Well as the title says i have a visonic and im getting a s01 low battery warning and triple beeping that is constantly happening and i really do need to turn it off, any information would be great at this time. Thanks

Now I've finally manage to install the alarm and test it. Everything seems to work fine except for one thing. I keep getting error message on line (line failure). I have connected a GSM module and no fixed phone line is connected. GSM-module works fine as I received an SMS on everything that happens or goes wrong. I must have changed somewhere in the menu to indicate that the center is connected to fixed telephone line! though it is not. I'm very grateful if anyone can help me with this.

I'm looking for a wired alarm. I was interested in Veritas R8, but seems this model do not offer a feature i need. I would like the remote keypad to continuously display the state of each zone, with no sound, even when the alarm is turned off (i would like the control panel to behave by default as a silent alarm, and activate sounders when i switch the alarm ON). Do you have any alarm control panel that propose such feature? thx

Is it possible to disable or silence the external bells via the keyboard? If so could you please tell me how to reset the external bells again.

Hi, Our alarm has been giving us problems for about 2 weeks. It indicates an intermittent problem with the PA and low battery - the alarm goes off intermittently as well. we have changed the battery in the main control panel and the PA. We have inherited this system and have done nothing with it apart from keeping the PA to hand (and changing the batteries), it has never been armed. What advice can you give? We would be happy to disconnect the thing and switch it off completely - but when I try (by removing the fuse) the outside alarm goes off. I have a problem with the GSM-module...when I installed it I made the system powerless as it said in the manual, installed the sim-card and put the module in place. I have an Accenta G3 alarm with two unused zones and would like to extend the alarm into my garage with is inbuilt. There is a single wall (thermal block) between the garage and the location of the alarm panel. I would like to fit a door sensor and a PIR and also fit a very loud sounder in the garage. I have some basic door contact switches and have been looking at one of the 4 way 'sound bomb' sounders. Would these be suitable? what PIR type would I need there are no appliances in the garage. Also is there a cage available for the sounder as I wouldn't want someone to be able to just whack it with a broom handle to silence it? Any help appreciated…

The system was installed and commissioned as part of a new build. When we moved into the building End of January 2011 we started to set the alarm. On two occasions the alarm has gone off in the middle of the night. on both occasions the keypad has been totally blank but still powered because you can see the back light. on both occasions the only way to stop the alarm has been to open the control panel and disconnect the battery. The electrician (that always fits rafiki alarms) on powering the system back up found that the system thought the keypad had been tampered with. The first time we thought it was the tamper sensor and adjusted it. The second time with the same faul…

last April it has worked perfectly. However recently, although it texts me on arming and disarming, if I try to control the system remotely ie arm, disarm, status it fails to respond. This was a relatively expensive piece of equipment and although just over one year old, I would have expected it to have lasted longer than this. It is operating with a Premier 24 panel (although only partially now!)
