  1. Sounds like you have faults on cctc 7, 7 and 8. Support
  2. All crelevant contact infoation is on the site. Also prices are listed on the site. If we dont stock any parts then I can ask sales to look at stocking them depending upon what they are etc. Support
  3. on en panels the default is to require a user code to give an engineer permission to access the panel. This can be disabled. If disabled then the panel will do as you describe. If not then it wont. But if your concerned avoid the 9651 for now. FSL is far more secure and allows both alarm and tamper to be sent of a single pair of wires, where as cc requires 2 pairs.
  4. The above issue only arises if a the the engineer code is known, and if user permission to enter engineers is disabled. By default the panel does not do this as you need to enable engineer access before the code will function. But for non EN jobs id recommend the honeywell panel. Support
  5. I will pass it on. Its not a stock item but they should be available from the middle of next week. Support
  6. its usual only for devices from the same manufacturer to match up etc. If you have a look though in the sounder manual it does list what you need.
  7. 1) Yes but it is called double pole. ie a set of contacts for alarm, one for tamper and another for power. To mount any sensor to a caileing you will require a cileing bracket. Some do come with a free non compliant one (ie you can move the sensor without it going into alarm) or you would need to purchase an additional cileing bracket. 2) as above 3) Yes this sounder has a strobe, comfort leds and a sounder. Support
  8. The battery size needs to be calculated by using the system standby current.(measured using a multimeter) So for example if your system has a standby current of 0.3A and you need a 12 hours standby time (Grade 2 EN regulations minimum standby time) 0.3A * 12 = 3.6A you also need 30 mins in alarm so if alarm current is 0.8A 0.8A / 2 = 0.4A 0.4A + 3.6A = 4.0A add 10% for battery aging over 5 years 4.4 A so the minimum battery size in the above example is 4.4A/h There isnt a 4.4 so you would pick the next available size up. In this case a 7.0A/h battery re the speaker any 16Ohm speaker is suitable eg http://www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=662 Support
  9. As a general statement Yes
  10. The Uk model is an older software version and some of the options are different. Many people (non approved installers) prefer the UK version as its more end user friendly in operation (ie EN regs have stringent requirments for acknowledging events etc) The eu model is the new one and technically the one we would advise.
  11. i wouldnt say we have a problem with these units, and we have tested them on BT lines. Som elines have leastcost routing that take too long to connect, some non bt lines have less than 50v and the dialler wont pre flash, I would disconnect all the other eqp on that line and see if that helps, as you could have an old phone etc causing you problems.
  12. As long as your caling back your backup requirements then id look at an optima in a large poly case. Basic panel but will do your requirements you could always add a dialler/text unit to report ac fails
  13. it is achievable but batteries for alarms are designed for standby use. If you regularly have long powerfails it will damage the battery but you basically need to calculate your standby time from your normal quiesant current for example assume your system has a day mode current of 0.2A 2 weeks = 336 hours .2A * 336 hours = 67.20 Amps Thats a big battery even if you got the day current to .1A thats still 34 A/h battery The largest battery a galaxy (for example) will charge is 17A/h Its doable but i think you may need to rethink or build something that is very low power (ie a relay) is using a 17 A/h battery and a .2A day mode current the best you will get is 85 hours standby. And you will have to derate your battery for teh colder weather.
  14. Amber I personaly have not tested any text unit on the bt message centre. I have checked with the manufacturer and neither have they as its designed to use the 02 message centre. Support
  15. dumptruck AFAIK ventcroft dont do a decoy unit but i will check with sales tomorrow. From a feedback point of view it is a budget sounder but usual ventcroft quality. I personally dont like the look of the unit and prefer the classic or oddy 5. Its a similar board to the classic board but not identical. Feedback from the installers is good, and when we tested it for approval it performed well. Obviously it doesnt have the volume of a more expensive unit. Support
  16. Sounds like it has a fault. If its from us, if you contact technical at technical at securitywarehouse.co.uk referencing this page, we will get an rma generated. Support
  17. i would take the sounder down and reconnect on a short temp wire to prove the unit. Let us know how you get on. Support
  18. 1. Yes, and yes 2. Yes 3. Any of the double pole units, eg Menvier M12 4. Yes, and it should be in a protected area. 5. Yes you need a radio expander, and the benefit is you can arm etc from the fob Support
  19. If you have a look in your manual there is a setting to adjust when the panel will report low volts. Id suggest you have this too high. Also check your charging voltages.Let us know what your charging voltage is, and your system voltage / current in day. SUpport

Hi, do you have a model number as i dont recognise sdvr8? Support
  21. Phil You will need a tranmitter ie http://www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=36_60&products_id=528 connected via a relay to your bell output. and a http://www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=36_60&products_id=529 reciever. You could also look at the risco versions. The idea is that both are standalone radio links and will follow the status of the relay in the panel. Support
  22. the wireless sounder unit will only work on the homelink 75. The homelink 55 is a hybrid panel and not all the wireless peripherals will work on it. The only way to achive this with a conventional panel is to use a stand alone transmitter and reciever but you would need 2 sets to send triggers one way and the tamper back. ID look at the visonic powermax plus or the homelink 75 as both will accept wireless sounders. But wireless sounders led's are not as bright.
  23. Yes it should be fine. As long as your circuits are normally closed.
  24. Yes, those are compatible, but using wireless does limit you to that manufacturer. ie if you want to use say a bosch tri-tech or a crow etc. Wired gives more flexibilty of equipment.. but obviously needs wires. Support
  25. 4 wires wil only allow door contacts or movement sensors without a tamper circuit. this would require 6 wires to comply and use a normal double pole arrangement. we cant offer support to non pro installers. Id look at a panel that offers eol wiring configuration as this will allow both alarm and tamper signals down 2 wires. many panels offer this though few bottom end ones do. if you only have 2 circuits id suggest one of the honeywell basic kits with 2 pir's and add your own sounder. obviously this will require re cabling. modern sab sounders require 5 wires minimum so this will probably require a new cable anyway. Have a look at the accenta if recabling or the texecom premier if using existing cable. There are cheaper panels than thr premier but the manuals are superb for the begineer. Support
