Hello, Need a little help how to program different user and allocated zones for Veritas exel panel. Cannot understand the manual fully. Fitted 2 keypad and 1 panel. Keypads fitted to 2 seperate rooms. 1st room Main using door contact ..entry/exit and pir on zone 2 inhibit and zone 3 guard to cupboard contact. 3 users for this room + cleaner. 2nd room using zone 4 programmed as entry/exit. Have set all users their access 4 digit code and ok. How do I program 2nd room user zone 4 his own zone to arm and disarm without effecting the other room/zones on full arm. And 1st room programs not to effect room 2 Your help would be greatly appriciated. Thanks

Hi, How do you change user and engineer code to the Texecom premier 24 panels. The manual gives details to change from eighter 4,5 or 6 numbers. I have tried with no success to program with 4 numbers and won't except only if I use 6 digit. Please if any one can help I would be grateful as I don't want to use 6 digit. Thanks.

Yes as I thought the carpet fitter put a nail through my entry/exit cable and damaged the blue wire and shorting another.Luckily I had run a 6 core and had spare. All ok now. Thanks for all who responded.

Just installed the Accenta G4 panel and all worked well. a few days later a fault occured to the entry/exit. Problem is break to the pair of contact wire. Replace with the spare and makes and break but the problem is the panel does not register open/close of the contact but ok with the multimeter. Another factor that I can assume is new carpet was fitted and wonder if the fitter damaged the cable which I think would be most likely as it was all working fine before the carpet was fitted. No short between contact wire and tamper wire. Any help would be grateful. I will run a temp cable this weekend and see what happens.

Hello Guys, Where can I buy Magnetic Strips to fit across window/glass.This is for business premises. Or is there other convienient solution.Obviously this works with Tamper circuit. Your help would greatly appriciated. Thanks. Freddy

Hi, I am moving a scantronic panel a couple of foot away and I will be powering the system down. The issue is I don't want to climb ladder to disable the bellbox. Can I just short the Tamper and 0V from the bellbox to stop the SAB ringing. Any Advice will be appriciated thanks.

Hi, Thanks for the replies. I have cracked the problem as a mate was helping and put the resistors wrongly in the sensors. 10K on the alarm and 22K on tamp. Should have been the other way round. So far so good now. The alarm had triggered a different zone ie 3 when armed unfortunatley the owner told me zone 6 which was incorrect so this led me to check all the zone resistance in the panel with wires removed. thanks all.

Hi, I hope somebody can shed a light on this fault I have on the Texecom Excel panel. Installed this on Saturday but Zone 6 keeps triggering after being armed after a few minutes. Checked the Pir and that seems OK. So removed the Pir in circuit and strapped a 10K resister in Z6 but still activates after a few minutes. Is there a simple solution to this or a faulty panel. All other zones are working good. Using EOL method. Thanks in advance.
