[Ticket Question] Powermaster 33

Featured Replies

I currently have a visonic powermaster 33 installed and working nicely. I have the gsm module, which is connected to a central monitoring server thing run by a third party.

I'm looking at buying the powerlink 3, will this enable me to connect into the alarm myself so that I don't need to use a central monitoring station? I know that the powerlink 2 allowed you to do this, but not sure about the powerlink3.

I have the Powermaster 33 PG2, and I've confirmed that it's got firmware 18.

So, before I buy it please can you 100% confirm that if I buy the Powerlink3, I'll be able to connect into it WITHOUT needing to pay for a powermanage server? Ie I'd connect directly to it using a web browser? And also, that I'll be able to view the status, see camera pictures, arm/disarm etc?

I want to be able to connect directly to my alarm to set, unset, view
cameras,
logs etc without having to pay a 3rd party to use their visonic powermanage
server, as I have to now.

Hi,

Did you have any luck sorting this?

I have just installed the system with a Powerlink 3 and I'm struggling with it all...

Which remote management company do/did you use and how much was it?

Thanks

The Powerlink 3 will allow you to use the Visonic app and set/unset the alarm.  However the PIR with integrated camera images are only available through a Monitoring station and not for the end user.

I have spoken with a guy at Visonic who came to my house and set things up for me. He inputted a web address into the app along with the panel ID from the back of the control panel. An IP address also had to be added to my KP 250 keypad.

I now have full control of the alarm. I can set/unset/mute alrms, get push notifications and view the images on the PIR.

No need for a monitoring station.

I am not sure i can give the details on here so it will be worth giving them a call and asking the question.

I believe a trained installer has all these settings and will input these during install.

So.....

It can be done.

The APP is actually called Visonic Alert

Hi Andrewcropper,

From your post I understand that you can use the Visonic Alert App (now Visonic Go App) to manage your powermaster alarm and get images from the PIR's.

In the Visonic Go Android App it says in the end :

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.visonic.VisonicAlert&hl=en

"Parameters for self monitoring customers:
- Host Address: visonic.tycomonitor.com
- Panel ID: your panel ID located on back side of your panel
- User Code: your user code"

But do you have to pay a monthly or annual fee for this?

Is this service you talk about provided by Visonic directly or from an installer?

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Adriano
