[Ticket Question] Looking To Purchase Fx050 Kit, Needs Some Advise..

Featured Replies

Were looking to upgrade our currant alarm system Accenta Mini Gen4 (8 Zone) with and FX050

Were needing 15 wired Zones, with the ability to expand.

Base Alarm System
C006-L-E2 Galaxy Flex FX050 Large box, 2A
C072 Galaxy RIO (additional 8 fully programmable zones making 28 zones, available zones 20 wired/8 wireless)
TS300 Dual Temperature Sensor (server Room)
PR-11B Takex 11m Reflector Active Beam External (big windows)

Unclear if these are needed or not
R057-CD-DG Remote Servicing Suite with USB dongle & client/server version ?
R058-CD-DG User Management Suite (UMS) with USB dongle ?
A083-00-01* Ethernet module/Internet Module

notes:
* Available on Flex panels with firmware version 3.0 onward

possible to advise if the above makes scene both financially and technically.

For commercial, I would opt for the Dimension 48 panel over the Flex - it's much more robust. The Galaxy panels don't come with Ethernet on-board, so if you want to connect to the network, then an Ethernet module is required. The A083 is the Ethernet for the Flex V3 and  the E080-2 or E080-4 for the other Galaxy panels.

You mention wireless - an RF portal C079 needs to be added to the Galaxy panels to gain wireless peripheral and remote fob connectivity.

The user management suite is used mainly for large sites with many users and door control.

The Remote Service Suite is used for programming the system via graphical Windows interface and is really handy, but very expensive - installers are given this for free. All programming can also be performed from the keypad.

Regards,

Stuart.
