I have split the manuals from the original order and set them ready to be downloaded. If you log in to your account and select the newer order number you will be able to download all 3. James -
[Ticket Question] How to connect the SD3 outputs
Secware_Tech6 replied to securitywarehouse's topic in Intruder Alarms
Hi 1. You will need a trelay. ie http://www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=1574 Note: the relay contacts on this are not suitable for mains operation. You may need a heavy duty relay if switching 240v into your heating etc. 2. Using the above relay you can use the NC / C connections straight into a suitable zone 3. The accenta doesnt have a 'keyswitch' zone type. It will only arm disarm via code and or fob (with reader) 4. You can just link the output to the trigger -
From the engineer manual Have you enabled that option?

[Ticket Question] Do Honeywell do smoke/fire detectors
Secware_Tech6 replied to securitywarehouse's topic in Intruder Alarms
The items are compatible yes. Honeywell dont make a 12v smoke detector, but i would recommend the Menvier M12 http://www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=638 -

[Ticket Question] Adpro Fasttrace / FastTx Ports used
Secware_Tech6 replied to Secware_Tech6's topic in CCTV
TCP 15000 - 15007 UDP 15000 - 15200 You can put the adpro in the DMZ but its best to just forward the above ports. You will need a static IP on the site end too. -
Which ports do i need to forward on my router to allow external connections to the adpro fasttrace unit?
-
its an unusual one then as the maintainer is liable for losses etc, so they should ensure only they or auth persons can work on it. However if you let the current alarm co now you are working on it the will be able to advise or put the system 'on test' at the arc. If you have engineer authority at the arc then you could do it.
-
Id assume if its on redcare its under a current contract with another alarm co. If so i wouldnt recommend touching it at all. If its a police response system then you definetly shouldnt touch it. Is there anymore info as to what you have to do and why etc?
-
I would advise checking for shorts etc. if you do have a wiring fault then the same thing may happen. if you don't connect any powers or sounders etc then you can power the new panel up and test first. hopefully it was a faulty panel.
-
as a rough guide any panel less than 2 years old should be an F or later. but the only way to check is to look at the board/rom version stamp.
-
DO you have a short on your 12v outputs or bell supplies? I would disconnect everything from your panel incase you have a wiring fault. can you post a picture of the panel and wiring etc. James
-
No that wont stop it. Im afraid there isnt anoter way to disable the hold off without getting to the bell.
-
Hassan This occurs when the battery is conneced the wrong way. ie reverse polarity. If you disconnected it quick enough then the panel will be fine.

[Ticket Question] Telephone control of alarm
Secware_Tech6 replied to Secware_Tech6's topic in Intruder Alarms
as above. Using free centre numbers can have issues. They are under the control of the networks. The only panel unaffected by this are the castle units as they update their settings from the castle host computer. These have updated themselves. to be fair the cost of std digicom monitoring is low and is 100% reliable. SMS is not and should IMHO never be used as a primary sinalling method. -
[Ticket Question] Telephone control of alarm
Secware_Tech6 replied to Secware_Tech6's topic in Intruder Alarms
Paul You can connect to the ion40 with a web browser or pc etc. the visonic powermax and risco wisdom allow control over a touchtone phone. -
Dear Sir / Madam. I am looking at replacing my aged Yale SA5 alarm system with a product from your company and i was looking at the Scantronic i-on40 with wired kp's for a solution. Does the system allow Remote turn off via a PSTN network or over the public internet via a login. If not could you suggest a more appropriate solution. Thank you for your time. Regards Paul

Secware_Tech6 replied to Secware_Tech6's topic in Intruder Alarms

I am considering purchasing some sensors and require the red flashing light to be activated as a visual deterant when the alarm is ON and also when it is OFF. I am currently looking at the Viper GL-W thats says the LED is activated by LINK and the GLX-W that says is activated by SWITCH. Can you please explain what the difference is between LINK and SWITCH. Also, The GLX-W PC.09000-20 is priced at

[Ticket Question] Castle Care tech Euro One
Secware_Tech6 replied to Secware_Tech6's topic in Intruder Alarms
Tony 1.Yes the euro one comes with a prox keypad 2. None 3. Yes 4. Fobs are usually linked to panels. I havnt tested it myself. I know the scantronic and menvier and galaxy fobs are interchangable. Sorry i know that doesnt answer your question. -
Hi I need to check a couple of things... 1. If I order the "Castle Care-Tech Euro One (includes LCD keypad)" from your site - part number EUR-1024... it says you get the panel and the remote keypad - is the keypad fitted with the Prox sensor for proximity fobs? 2. If it is how many fobs come with the panel? 3. We have never fitted this panel and have tried to get the engineer/installation manual from the Castle Care Tech website and it is password protected... we have registered with them but heard nothing yet - does the panel ship with installation/setup details? 4. do you have to use the Castle Care-Tech proximity fobs, or can you programme the cheaper ADE Honeywell Easy Set Fobs? Thanks in advance Tony
