  1. Vibs will be fine but you need to factor in the reduced real detection area on plastic. As with all perimiter protection has the same same fa causes. If fitted incorrectly. Most common on plastic doors and windows is to have too few units covering a too large an area
  2. The hkc system I similar to id and will work on the cabling in place, probably. The castle id modules are no longer available.
  3. Yes you will need to remove the shock detector then commission the pir in its place
  4. 1 yes you are correct you only need links on unused inputs 2 the alarm will sound when you power it up ie when the mains is connected 3 yes that is for the optima
  5. Have you tested your battery isn't reversed charged? Also if you remove all 12v out on the panel does it still blow?
  6. If you add the portal you can use the circuits. You only need a Rio for hard wired. You can use upto 20 circuits of either type in total
  7. Yes that's a short run
  8. When you say interaction do you mean by app or by sms commands?
  9. yeah thats fine. But on small runs with low device count you wont need the 680 ohm end of line resistor. Id wire as you have drawn but leave link 1 in and dont fit the eol resistors.
  10. If you have a g2-12 no. If you have a g2-20 yes. But the number after the 2 (ie 12,20 or 44) denotes max circuits
  11. Id agree i would suggest we RMA the reciever and arrange to swap it.
  12. Yes but if you have a 2-12 you will probably not have enough circuits available
  13. To be fair thats an excellent fault diagnosis report. But the rf rx led's do indicate recieving something not always from the tx. If its not paired then its just normal noise. Is it funtioning? is the question why the leds, or is it not functioning?
  14. you can adjust the dip, are you connecting it to bell output?
  15. If you want a wall mount unit id look (if un-certificated) at https://www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/elmdene-1381n-p-606.html
  16. It has lost comms with the panel. Is the panel powered up correctly?
  17. No i dont recognise those. Do you have a picture of the parts?
  18. No. You will need a hybrid system. As you have some hard wired zones you will need a panel that supports both wired and non wired devices
  19. Got it. They are not s-video cameras but may be using an s-video connector. It looks like its 12v, 0v, video and audio down the 4 wires. I doubt you will find anything compatible but id test the cables on a conventional dvr and and a multimeter. But for the quality of those cameras and what a new one costs i dont think its cost effective to keep them
  20. If its not powered and is new then i wouldnt worry yet. Power it up with just the keypad connected and test
  21. Oh sorry i thought you said it was giving off a burning smell
  22. No im wondering if you have overloaded your panel. SW products are professional products they are not designed for DIY installation and we cannot support DIY users.
  23. Im afraid we cant say in a public forum due to the security implications. If you let us know ur order number?
  24. as above id say you have another device ie a fob that is reporting low battery
