Hi, I already have wired system with panel, 6 wired PIR and bell. I'm unsure what make/model existing panel is, but what I'd like is new panel to do is: - allow remote access to arm,/disarm and check alarm status (web/app/gsm) - connect existing wird PIR and bell (if possible) - have ability to set different zones. Currently have home zone and garage zone. When out and about we arm both zones; when home we arm just garage zone. - allow new wireless devices to be added Thanks,

I have recently purchased a scantronic 9651EN-43 from you, the documentation says that I can connect fire alarm detectors, i.e. ion/optical, please can you advise which products and whether an interface is required.

[Ticket Question] Is The Dt7450 Suitable For A Conservatory?
Secware replied to securitywarehouse's topic in Intruder Alarms
I have started to fit the dual tech PIR as the conservatory is now finished. I have power to it but to which connections do the "alarm wire " go to. The contacts in the PIR are as follows. T1 T2 (Tamper) C EOL NC (Alarm) V- V+ (Power) I had connected them to C and NC but I can't get it to trigger. It does trigger if I disconnect on of them. I do realise that I should get a professional to fit it but the forum is worth a try first. -
Hello there, Could you, please, help me finding which of your system would be most suitable for my needs? I am looking for alarm system for the house and 2 wooden bike sheds 7 meters from the house. The system for house can be wired, the system for sheds must be wireless. The house system will need 5 PIRs, one of them should tolerate a tortoise (25cm, 2 kg, in a heated enclosure in the hall), 2 door contacts, 2 sensors for windows (breaking glass or vibration?). There are both, a land line and GSM cover, in the house. The system for the sheds should probably have 1 door contact and 1 PIR for each shed, PIRs could maybe replaced by vibration sensors attached directly to the bikes. There may be higher range of temperatures in the sheds (-20 / +40) and certainly higher humidity. The sensors don?t need to work in extreme temperature but must survive short term extremes to work within range -10 / +30. Both systems may be integrated in 1 if there is an option of arming only one but I wouldn?t mind having 2 different systems in case you think there is a reason for that. I really need to prevent false alarms. Therefore I thought a system that would get triggered only after activation of 2 sensors (either 2 or certain couples?) would be much better. I was thinking of self-monitored system to save expenses but I wouldn?t mind centrally monitored if some of the features (especially preventing false alarms) could be provided only with monitored system. Thank you very much for your help.

Hi I am installing a accenta Gen 4 system .Its for a residential home for people with learning difficulties. Basiacllly they want the doors to chime and light up on the key pad until reset or another door opens . So the light is on pretty much all the time regardless of the door then being shut I am thinking of installing your "Elmdene EN3 QFC Grade 3 flush contacts red resistor " I just want to know whether these are compatible with the system . Ie I am not going to install them then a fault comes up on the keypad

Hi Tim, Thank you for bringing this to our attention, and we apologies for the inconvenience this may have caused. It appears that although your tickets have been responded to, the auto response email that would make you aware of this, has failed and IT are looking into the matter now. However if you log into the ticket system using your original ticket number 256111 you will see returns responses are there. Kind Regards Support

[Ticket Question] Which Rim Lock Strike To Order?
Secware replied to securitywarehouse's topic in Access Control
We have tried to fix the new rim lock strike but with no luck. The strike is in the open position when connected until the code is put in at which time it locks! We tried reversing the cables to the terminals on the strike but exactly the same thing happened. We urgently need to secure the door that this is to be fitted to can you advise us. -
I'm wanting to buy a Bosch ISM-BLD1-P burglar alarm sensor, to replace a non-pet friendly sensor that is currently installed- it is a pain to keep pets out of that particular room. (The rest of the house is covered by existing ISM-BLD1-P's). The webpage mentions that there are different microwave frequencies that the detector can operate at, with each different frequency variant having a different letter at the end of the product code (F1, F3 or F4). Are you able to advise which frequency I am likely to require- are these different units? I can't find any mention of microwave frequency in any of the documentation for my current system.

I live in UK , but have a holiday home in Spain ,and need an intruder alarm ( that doesnt need a landline ) to notify me of a trigger to my mobile phone .I dont really have any permanently resident and reliable close neighbours to act as a keyholder or lookout . A sound bell/siren would not be of help or long term deterant . Need ideas of a suitable system , and outline costs .

Due to Texecom recalling this product all our stock had to be sent back to await return. Return date due tomorrow. Please see Texecom publication; Texecom has recently re-engineered the Veritas series of control panels to ensure the continued supply of one of the industry’s favourite and most trusted security systems. This redevelopment was directly due to the discontinuation of certain critical components, requiring Texecom to redesign the product on a new microcontroller platform. Inevitably, such design changes may result in subtle differences in functionality compared to the previous model. Whilst Texecom has made every effort possible to ensure the same user-experience, reliability and performance, there may be scenarios whereby the new product version performs slightly differently. It has come to Texecom’s attention that the initial batch of new Veritas control panels, software versions 0.49 and 0.59, had some defects in functionality that may affect some installations. Texecom has moved swiftly to rectify any issues and is currently working with its distribution partners to ensure that all stock residing at trade counters and distribution warehouses is unaffected product. The latest software, version 0.62b, contains a small list of bugs that only affect certain installations. These bugs will be fixed in an imminent new software release. Full details and corrective actions relating to these issues can be found on the news section of the Texecom website at www.texe.com Nothing is more important to us than ensuring that our customers consistently receive a supply of high performance, high reliability and quality products. We thank all our customers for their continued patience and understanding whilst we fix any issues arising from this enforced product change. For any further information or guidance relating to Texecom’s Veritas Series of control panels, please email techsupport@texe.com Veritas Series Control Panels Include: Veritas 8 Veritas 8 Compact Veritas R8 Veritas R8 Plus Veritas Excel

The wiring diagram suggests that for multiple keypads, the wiring should be serial i.e. from alarm panel into the first keypad then onto the second. My question is can I wire each keypad back to the alarm panel independantly (in start wiring), e.g. the comms connection at the alarm panel has two wires comming from it, one to the first keypad and one to the second keypad.

Hi I would be interested in buying Visonic alarm system. However I am not clear on the PowerLink functionality. Do I have to have Visonic IPMP server installed separately to support PowerLink for exactly this: sending emails/MMS messages with pictures from connected cameras UPON alarm trigger.

I think I have damaged the PCB. It shorted as I was removing a connection when still live. I've replaced the blown fuse but, on rewiring, it alarms as soon as the system is set. I'm confident the wiring is correct & unit programming OK (I did a factory reset). There is no fault with the PIRs. Any suggestions on how to remedy?
