I have a Philips Observation CCTV system with Bosch cameras. the philips monitor powers the cameras which are wired with UTP cable and an RJ11 connector. I wanted to get rid of the Philips monitor and connect the cameras direct to my DVR which has BNC. could you tell me whether any of the cctv baluns you sell would provide power and video/audio signals from RJ11 to BNC

Does this panel support EOL sensing?

My problem is an Optima Compact giving spurious tamper alarms on the control panel. These are totally random and alerting the internal sounder not the outside alarm box when in day mode. The strobe flashes when this event occurs but as I say no alarm. When the system is set the alarm box works normally. On a suggestion I have changed the alarm panel battery . Spurious alarms from the panel seemed cured for 10 days but now have returned . Any possible answer to the issue appreciated.

It's not crucial for the handsets in the property to be wired out of SET from the panel however it does allow a more reliable service if they are because wiring out of the panel to the phones around the property allows it to ring out even when the phone is in use. This is achieved by the panel being the first point of contact for the phone line so it can hang up any existing call and then use the line to report any problems. Where the IP camera is concerned there isn't one available yet in the PowerG range

On the verge of ordering the new Powermaster 10 kit from Visonic.Looks exceptional. Two questions if I may: 1) I understand that the line from the telephone master socket must connect to LINE. However is it crucial that the main telephone is connected to SET. I think this set-up allows the alarm to sieze the incoming call. Would it be possible to run the telephone off an extension socket or from the master socket itself. Also there is some info about RJ31X plug which gets over the problem- is this USA only? I also understand that the GPRS/GPS module gets over the problem 2)An IP camera is available in this system. Can this be accessed by the homeuser over the internet without going through a monitoring station. Or do we have to await the launch of an IP module.

I have been recomended a Redwall LRP404S motion sensor to connect to a light so we can light up our entrance gate when it is opened. They have told me we will need a Redwall interswitch as well. Does this make sense to you and if so do you know which switch suits this light and do you sell them also and for how much.

About to connect my visonic powermax complete to the telephone. According to the picture in the manual its just to plug in. But theres just two small holes. The telecable dont have pins. What to do? I havnt seen such a cable before is it typical UK?

I have no telephone landline at the premises I want to install this and I need something that will phone me like a mobile phone and not just send text messages as this would not work, due to hearing a text message at night. Hi I am new to wiring up alarm systems and have 2 SC550/WH door contacts to add into a Honeywell Accenta Mini Gen4 system. There are no instructions for wiring the 6 connectors on the contacts. I assume the middle two are for the tamper. Where do the power and relay connect?
