  1. Lingo Yes it is something that we do. You need to raise a support ticket asking for a vat free account. Please include your vat number and compnay details etc on the ticket. Once that has been approved your account will be set to vat free. James Support
  2. Done. Renamed *.zzz sent to both address's I will edit your email address in the above post to prevent abuse. James
  3. Lorand I did email it. However gmail sent me this back If you have an alternative address you can let us have, or i can send you a link for direct download over pm. James
  4. Lorand I have emailed you a version zipped using a lower compression. Let me know how you get on. James
  5. If i recall. (i dont have access to my manuals) then B1 and B2 are output 1 and 2. These are then programmed as bell and strobe by default.
  6. ok so using your supplied current draws 7 x 16mA = 112mA 4 x 7.5mA = 30mA 112mA + 30mA = 142mA 142mA = 0.142A so unless you have a maglock on it somewhere i reakon youve got your decimal points mixed up James
  7. Id suggest you are getting your decimal places mixed up. What have you calculated your total load to be?
  8. Tynesider. It does sound like you have a faulty simpleset. Id advise you raise an RMA request and get it swapped. James
  9. OK. you sure it doesnt have a 10A range if you move the leads?
  10. Yes i would have a single keypad on it as well. My bad i assumed you had an optima. I should never assume! Have you got more then 1 simple set reader? If so is that functioning as expected?
  11. Easiest way to get a day mode current is to put your meter in series with the battery and remove the mains. All current will then be off the battery and will give a quescient current. Once that is done put the mains back on and meter the batt leads with the batt disconnected and connected. That will give us a charge voltage. James
  12. The standalone reader will only give you a volateg output on valid tag/card. The HID unit will output data. However this infomation is not in the public domain. Depending on what you want to do, you would be better off going for an access system based on ms sql and then queriing the db direct, or using a system that gives a 232 output and getting your data from their. Actually reading the data reader would be difficult IMO. James
  13. as118150 Whats the day mode current of this panel? ALso the charging voltage would be useful. As a side note, what detectors on on this panel? ANd what battery is in it / age?
  14. Tynesider. Sorry I missed your thread yesterday. Nice detailed post AM i right in thinking from the post you have a problem with a simple set reader? If so, i would remove it from where it is fitted, disconnect all keypad wiring at the panel and just wire the one simple set in. If it works then we have eliminated a hardware fault. IF not it looks like we have a faulty simplset. 25m is fine. James
  15. Are the other keys working correctly? If so id assume its a keypad problem. Assuming the warranty has expired id open it up and check the carbon pads etc from the back of the keypad. It might only need a clean. Where was it stored? somewhere damp?
  16. Looking at the above images you have it wired correctly. I can only suggest the panel is faulty. If you raise an RMA ticket we will get that panel swapped for you.
  17. Im a bit of a galaxy fan so i would say the galaxy. eg. galaxy 2 or dimension eg http://www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=193 or http://www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=2064 if using the dimension that will take touchscreens (1 per line so 1 on the Dimension 48 up to 4 on the 520) the G2 wont take a touchscreen Both panels will accept additional MK7 keypads / keyprox's http://www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=699 Quad pir wise you have quite a choice. It does depend on your environment, use etc. Not all quad sensors are created equal. Dualtec wise for an outhouse id recommend a DT74 series ie http://www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=1676 Internal door contacts to suit the door. again depends on application Garage door. You can use a std door contact but id recommend using a roller shutter type. Panic button, do you want single push double push etc? Whole seperate topic here IMHO Txt / speech dialler Both the galaxy units above have built in modems for sms via a landline. They also have built in digital comm units so can be set to signal an arc as std. Listen in function. To do this properly you would need the audi confirm module on the dimension and microphones in the relevant areas. SOme diallers have a very basic version of this functionallity ie the pyronix speech dialler and the better menvier units. Dial in arm etc. You cant do this on the galaxy without the pc software. If you want to dial in, then only the rf panels offer this, ie visonic powermax and the risco wisdom. There is a web client though for the scantronic ION40 unit. wired/wireless the dimension and the g2 will accept rf expanders making them into hybrid panel. The GD-48 is a fine high end panel. it may be overkil but that depends on your requirments. I have a dimension at home myself.
  18. Chris The power requirments of the keypad itself are very low. The main value to consider is the current required by the lock. 0.5mm flex would be fine for this purpose, however is the run is short then std alarm cable is normally used. YOu may need to parralel up cores if the volt drop is too large.
  19. you will need to use the keypad unless you have the rss software to enable programming vis rs232
  20. Is this something you installed / look after?
  21. when you say intermittantly is it possible a range or interference issue?
  22. I dont know of a professional grade door alarm unit sorry.
