  1. That is the protection of the system. Amy correctly installed system should do as you describe. The only way to stop it is to disconnect the internal sounder battery. this can only be done AFTER the cover has been removed.
  2. YOu are correct that the only difference is the psu, ie one is ac the other providec dc lock supply. However all videx is the same, ie the way it mounts.
  3. If you want to know if the act 3000 will accept more than 1000 users then yes. It can handle 30,000 users However if you want to integrate this inot your existing club system then im afraid I cant help. You can use the software etc to connect to the unit via a pc and chnage the pins etc.
  4. It can but its only a low voltage sensor. It would need the rest of the system to do the actual swicthing.
  5. basically article tagging for protection from shoplifting etc
  6. I would say no. pretty much all rf gear is system specific, ie you need a risco transmitter for a risco reciever. the only thing I can suggest is to use a universal reciever and connect that to your panel. assuming of course your panel has hard wired inputs available. James
  7. im sorry i don't know that unit. its not a brand we currently supply and I can't suggest anything other than contacting the manufacturer for supplier info. did you buy this originally from the US?
  8. Hi Yes probably but i need to know what unit you have (Product 101/135) just shows its product 101 of 135 you were viewing. At the bottom of the product page will be a Model Code. If you can let me know that then i will be able to help.
  9. I dont think any of our units do. Do you want to connect this to a pc and your own software?
  10. Please see this thread http://www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/forums/index.php/topic,730.0.html
  11. Have a look at page 3 of the install / engineers manuals That lists the default manager and engineer codes. James
  12. It needs to be sized according to system load. It will accept any battery upto a 7A/h id suggest a 7A/h ie http://www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=113
  13. I have asked admin to allow guests to see attachements Previously you needed to be a member to view them. James
  14. Hi Its impossibel to know if new batts will help or not. It really depends on what is wrong with it. If they are 12 years old then they will definetly need replacing. Its a similar question to 'My car doesnt work, will a new x help?' A bettery will only help if you have power issues. If the system has never been serviced then the battery will be shot. A totally failed battery can and does damage the panel. So you may have other issues etc. Again a difficult one to answer. If they are high end units then i would probably keep, but at 12 years old if they arnt high end units i would replace. Decent sensors are available now for
  15. the free wave unit is a wireless unit, which will only work on the freewave system. you need a normal door contact for that panel not a wireless one. support
  16. In simple terms no. it depends on what system is already there.
  17. Thats one way to do it. 507 listed here http://www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=2218
  18. Yes you can flush mount it, and thats what its designed for. As far as i know there isnt aq surface housing for it. I would always recommend using a bigger psu than 1A for the system and locking. its a bit close but in theory should be fine.
  19. If you have more than 3 handsets connected with conventional wiring then the call volume will be lower as the load will be greater. Eventually if you had enough handsets the call wouldnt work at all and damage may result. ALso the 506/n is a relay. Im unsure how you could use it as a call generator as it doesnt have those outputs. James
  20. bpt and videx have slightly different cabling layouts, so id initially say it wouldnt work, however i do know that heir telephone adapoter does work in most cases (ie videx one on bpt) Obviously this isnt supported so YMMV I dont know of as videx call booster, but you could use multiple tone generators or ac calling then you wouldnt have an issue.
  21. Please see the attached diagram Note this doesnt have a clean switched output on it so you will need an ac relay to give you clean swicthes for your operator.
  22. Yes you need to use the ticket system to get an rma number. Thats so we can and you can track it through to completion.
