  1. hi ravis It depends on what you want to do. Id try and break it down as locking systems are a seperate topic really. Concentrate on the system and its requirements first. THen we can go through locking types. James
  2. they are but they should be fine with a cat. What you must ensure is that any pet on any sensor cannot get within 6 ft of the detector. The creep zone must also be disabled. Also they cant look at stairs. To be fair cats are more of a problem than dogs due to the things they jump on etc. Can you get me an example photo of the room from the sensors perspective? James
  3. That unit is a single pole. Ill have to ask sales re the price of a dp unit.
  4. One is a 230v variant, the other is a 12/24v variant.

  6. I would say that you have an uncleared alert. How are you arming it?
  7. Is that what the log says? sounds like a major programming problem. Might be an idea to wipe it and start again.
  8. Any wired pa such as securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=36_46&products_id=187 Would be fine. Wireless ican be done but using a panel with built in wireless or you can add a standalone receiver .
  9. Have all devices walk tested ok? Also anything of interest in the log?
  10. Yes a picture would help. As fastcar states some panels do have built in analyser zones, but you may have relay based vibration units. If so no analyser is needed.
  11. Agreed K band Dualtec with adjustable microwave, ie dt7550a. What size is the conservatory?
  12. I dont understand 'independant with battery'? you will need a relay version heat detector
  13. They will need to power a relay over that distance. ie fit a realy and a power supply at the house to run the bell. Then just use the bt cable to power the relay. Id use a t-relay personaally then there will be minimal if any voltdrop.
  14. Im afraid you need the old style biscuits for this panel. The ID plus biscuits may not work. They use very slightly different voltages and as both the panel and the biscuits for the panel are obsolete im not sure if id+ biscuits will be reliable or function at all
  15. You can use a redcare secure or dualcom gprs unit in wireless only mode. Alternativly you can use a gsm based dialler etc, ie the menvier sd3
  16. Depending on your tariff and call volume will depend how long the credit lasts. Id ensure your system is hanging up correctly after a call.
  17. it 'can' but it is not designed for telephone use. Telephone cable has a twisted configuration and is solid core. IDC terminals are designed for solid core cable.
  18. I have attached this products EU cerificate of conformity CE-2005-KX10DP.pdf
  19. You could use a Viper GLX http://www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=542
  20. Depends on the sensors you have. What vibration sensors do you have now, and how many detectors in total is there?
  21. 868MHz It comes with a power supply for 230v EU. 12 months Depends on location, order size and flow that day. Usually Geopost or DPD Yes Its a 0-3592-B which is a K9-85 MCW Its a MCT-234. I dont understand the question? What command? James Tech SUpport
  22. ok In that case then you will be fine replacing your sensors with Opal XL's
  23. While we do not restrict sale of items, im afraid we cant support professional products being installed DIY. None of our products are designed for DIY install. It does come with a keypad so you would need 2 additional Its a power supply issue. You can run as many sounders as you like but the output would need a relay and you would need additional power supplies to handle the load. I think you are confusing 'Grade' with 'class'. A grade 3 component is higher security and harder to defeat etc. There is no point using GRade 3 components on a Grade 2 Panel. Different panels have different resistor values. Ie the scantronic use 4k7 and 2k2. A galaxy would use 1k and 1k. The QFT is a quick fit tyoe contact and the contact type is not related to the resistor values. A terminal contact has screw terminals for connection. A cabled contact is a sealed unit with a flying lead. YOu then use a junction box to connect. A lot of companies use sealed contacts by default. They are not designed to be long enough to cable back to the control panel but would require a junction box to join them. But as they are sealed any water entering the door / frame would not affect it. how is the installation procedure for them. please advice me on this matter... Yes, but the benefit of hardwired is any (as a rule) hardwired sensor is compatible Depends on the application. Both have their merits.
