I have an old ADE Logic 6 wired control panel that I need to replace. It is linked to 3x wired PIRs and 3x wired door switches and I would like the replacement to have remote access via wi-fi link to my local router and suitable app. Can you suggest replacement that is not too complicated or expensive? Thanks David

anybody help as to why the is no 13v supply from the circuit board which means no supply to the pirs or door sensors. this is a new installation. all fuses checked ok but no back light to key pad either. I can put panel into engineering mode and day mode but that is all. All wiring has been removed and any links refitted but still nothing from the 13v. hope someone can help!

My new house was pre-wired for a hard wired alarm which I planned to fit myself. The guy who run the cabling did a good job except he did not wire for contacts on the doors. There is no chance to wire them now as I cannot run cables thrugh the dry wall panels. My solution I think is something like a Homelink 55 I will have 6 PIR, three door contacts, and two RKP's as I have a point upstairs for night setting the system. Can I add a second 9943 RKP to the Homelink 55 ? The Homelink 55 has 6 wired zones which would cover the PIR's. I hope I could use wireless contacts for the rest. Prox tags would also be a nice addition. Grateful for any advic…

The dialer I have chosen is the Honeywell ADE Informa Speech Dialler, the I have 4 different zones, what would be the best complete system to use with the dialer? I am currently installing an alarm/fire system in my home and have a few questions someone may kindly answer: 1. Does the Eurosec CPX have a built in dialer to call in the event of an alarm (so all I do is add a bt line) and if so does it tell you what the alarm is i.e zone, fire, intruder etc. 2. What type of cable should I use for the smoke heat detecors - normal alarm cable? 3. What smoke heat detecors are compatable with the Eurosec CPX? 4. The alarm unit will be mounted in a seperate room only accesable from outside (it's a outside utility room) although the utility room is secure would it be better to have the main unit within the house? 5. Finally, can you …

Hi, I had purchased a number of items from this site a while back, and just getting round to fitting. One of them was an AG6 bell box. My plan was to use this at the rear of the property to replace a dummy box, but to use the internal battery and LED to have a flashing deterrent at the rear. But I cant work out how to do this, or if its even possible? All instructions point towards needing the 12v coming from the panel, but I dont have this connection. Can the AG6 be set so that just the LED is flashing without panel connection? many thanks. https://www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/honeywell-activeguard-ag6-external-siren-blue-inc-white-cover-p-1973.html

Trying to install Honeywell AG6 to Galaxy Flex Panel. There is no instructions for Galaxy flex, but forGalaxy 2 series it says: TR- to T (I put this to T-) V- to 0V ST- to "Any Output programmed as Bell#" V+ to +12V S- to "Any Output programmed as Bell" Both ST- and S- to output bell? Same bell output? Or how should I wire?

Just installed my 1st panel (in my own place)!! All seems to have gone ok but I'm wondering what to use for the "loop" connections between tamper wires. I've got 8 zones to link and "choc block" (aka terminal strip) seems a bit excessive. What have you used?

Hello, Some years ago I installed a couple of Tate alarm systems. These were fairly simplistic but allowed the external siren (and any internal sound bomb) to be disabled on night set. Since then I've moved over to the Pyronix Sterling 10 as I wanted a full text log. The Sterling is OK but had no means to disable the sirens on part set and the log has no date/time stamp. I'm moving house again and will be installing a new alarm. I want a system with a date and time log and the ability to turn off any internal siren and just have the normal speaker tone on activation. I've always felt that deafening and disorientating an intruder with a sound bomb is probably more …

Hi, I am looking to upgrade my home alarm system and after reviewing your forum have a few questions that I hope you can help me with so that I order to correct system (and compatible components). Essentially, I have a new build with the developer fitted DCS Alarm branded as British Gas which seems to not meet any of my requirements. Basically I am hoping to upgrade this to something more usable and compatible with pets i.e. something that I can adjust zones (regions) as I see fit as the dog is quite large. I have contacted 3 of the larger installers in my area and given that two never kept their appointment and the other quoted just under

Hi all, I'm new to the forum, it was recommended by a member on another forum. I was wondering if anyone has a .pdf copy of a veritas r8 installation manual for the pre-1999 models please? We have 2 veritas alarm systems on our house, one was installed in 1995 when the house was built, the 2nd was installed in 2007. I have a manual for the newer system but the older system I believe has different programming codes etc. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Andy

Hi, I'm looking to install an alarm system for a steel shed with no windows. Alarms are all very new to me so I'd appreciate some advice. What I want to achieve is: - An audible alarm activated when the door is opened. - A system that runs on mains power, but which has a battery backup of at least 2 weeks. - Preferably some way of disabling the alarm before entering the shed, avoiding the need to have a period to allow for a code/key to be used to disable the alarrm once the door is open. - Surface contact sensors on the door. Is this achievable, or am I looking for something that doesn't exist? I'm open to other suggestions if anyone has any. All advice gr…
