Intruder Alarms

can anyone provide list of kit for easy install and use of intruder alarm kit using tel communicator eg Informa speech dialler, key fob set/unset,can these things be used with control panel with onboard keypad if so which one and are they also compatible with each other.thanks jw

I have accenta mini gen4 with two lcd keypads Master Bedroom (part sets)and Front Door and a Simple Set reader at the Back Door. All wired to go with front and rear contacts. Test the system while installing.... stage by stage Stage one: Install contacts to front and rear, wire back to panel, no tamper(s) to fiddle with Install lcds and Simpleset,find the obligatory tamper loop lock-out on powering up. Remove three wires from both tamper ports and separate into series wiring. Power up fine... disable alarm at MB RKP. Power and day lights ok. and back downstairs Front door RKP as MB Power and Day lights Okay. Back Door Simple Set Power Light no other …

Hi All, Hoping to order from securitywarehouse.co.uk in next few days but do have a few questions I hope they could help me with please? Property currently has an ADE Accenta 8 Mini fitted, but want to replace with Optima Compact Gen4 as something has blown on the 8 Mini PCB... system is 10 years old, will the current (s)elf ©ontrolled (B)ell work with this newer Optima Compact Gen4? Does the Optima Compact Gen4 come with backup battery or is this a seperate purchase? And finally, has anyone any opinions on this alarm or have a link to the wiring for it please? Hi, I wonder if it`s possible to use the kp-160 as a remote keypad for arming/un arming and NOT only for proximity tags (chicklets) to a Powermaster 10? What version is the Powermaster 10? Is it v 15? Because I heard that this is the key to get this working as a numerous keypad. Best Regards Ulf

This is similar to another post below, I too have a texecom veritas system which is faulty, I have called their support desk and there are unhelpful and ofter cut me off if they can't find a solution. I am having difficulty making the low temperature output on my SD3 dialler work correctly. I would like the dialler to send me a text message when temperature drops below the alarm threshold. However, despite the "test outputs" suggesting all is functioning OK the unit does not seem to be triggering the alarm properly. I have it configured as follows: Output 3 is set to Temperature Low/ Negative Polarity Output 3 has single wire to Trigger C Triggers are set to (default) negative polarity Trigger C Alarm is routed to Contact 1 In Test Options switching on Output 3 gives correct "Trig C Alarm" in System Log In Test Options testing Trigger C correctly sends m…

Hello I have installed system now, only one Magnet contat for Door entry.(Elmdene EN3-LSC) I've done programming. Disable all but door contact. When arming system: Door 'n Hall fails. I have changed the battery in both of my arming stations and now the Homelink 75 does not see them, I have followed the instructions in the Installation & Programming guide, but am currently baffled where it states to activate the tamper switch on the arming station, but where is the tamper switch? I have tried pressing each button, two buttons together, removing the back so as to disconnect the battery, still the panel does not see the arming station. I have checked the battery voltage which is 3v as they are new batteries. None of the arming station lines- 1 to 4 in the display panel has an icon against it. I purchased a Ventcroft Compact Classic Sounder form you recently. Having fitted it though I cannot get the strobe to operate. Everything else operates as it should. I already retrned on but have the same issue with this one. Its connected to a Veritas Compact 8 panel. I have checked and do get 12volts across STB- and 12v+ hold off. Is there anything particular with this panel that I am unaware of.

Hi, I'm after some advice on my Accenta G4 system, as with most good DIY project a purchased it a few months ago and only reently got round to fitting it (a wedding got in the way). Anyway i've installed it and powered the system up and two issues occur. 1) There is no power on light on the system or the key pad (or any light on any of the sensors). 2) Although the key pad (and alarm) operates (i'm assuming from the battery), when i enter the security code on the kep pad it says tamper lockout. Hi, I purchased the above kit from yourselves just over a week ago. I am trying to wire the bellbox to the control panel, however, the connections listed in the Intellisense AG6 leaflet differ from those on the actual PCB. The manual lists TR- V- ST- V+ S- but the PCB has ST R SW V+ V- So can you tell me what to connect to where on the Accenta G4 panel? Regards, Warren

Afternoon, I have recently installed an optima compact gen3 system in my house and added a remote keypad. The system is working fine and walk tests etc with no problems but whilst it is day made the remote keypad and main control box emit a double beep approx every five minutes (very annoying). I've gone through the operating manual and the engineers manual I have and it seems this would be the system telling me of a line fault for the communications system. However, as you as probably aware, there is no comms system on the compact panel. any idea how I can stop it beeping at me please......? Thanks, Neil Annals.

Hi! Bought a Visonic Powermax+ alarm from you and have run into some problems regarding master installer code and installer code. The problems shows on both the central unit and the keypad unit. When I installed the alarm, I (of course) changed the default codes to my own. However, as far as I can remember I only changed 2 codes where off one being the user code and the other one either the master installer or the installer code. Now I can't seem to access the alarm using the other alternative of installer codes. I would be glad if you could give me some hints to where I've gone wrong. Firstly I just wanted to check that all the components are fully compatible with the Galaxy G2 panel (I have the G2-20, or actually the G2-12 as it is not expanded), and that it will support this many sensors. All four (IS215T)of the pir's not working thus setting the zones as triggered, i tested the board and you get 13v across the two terminals, if you loop out each zone the alarm works fine. But obviously has a fault on it, to wipe out 4 pirs all at once. There is no explanation to why they have been set off, as the room was empty, then another pir would do the same, but on a different time of day etc this is without the alarm being set, no tamper is being recorded on the LCD key pad. Now all four zones with these pir's fitted have the alarm triggered on walk test and the alarm wont set, there is 13v power at the panel and the pir end all wires have been continuity check…

Dear Support, Would you know the jumper settings for a Risco Gardtec 595 / 800 Series Zone Expander card? There is a bank of 8 called ZEX1 through to ZEX8, J9 (ZEX Type) and J10 (ZEX Group). please i am wanting to buy the scantronic 55 system however i have some questions - does this have a phone out feature via sim card or by bt line if it is triggered. does this accept pir / door contacts that have been used for an optima honeywell hard wired system since it is an 'hybrid' system... so that i might replace the optima and buy the wireless pir as and when i can. essentially i need a wireless system for a domestic use where i would have around 5 pir and couple of door contacts and smoke alarm external bell and key fob - is there anything other than the homelink 55 that is also suitable and fairly straightforward to use - set up and around
