I purchased a system from you some time ago and I am now ready to install following house extension. The programming guide for using the TCU refers to an "engineers code", can you advise where I find this.

Hello I'm looking to see if anyone can help I've recently bought a eurosec cpx control panel and I was wondering if I need to wire an additional power supply so I can connect the 7 pir's and 4 shocktec door contacts, Or is it possible to power them via the aux 12v. The pir's nominal current is 16mA and the door cont's 7.5mA, according to my calculations this will over-load the system. If so can anyone recommend a suitable add. power supply so I can split the load.

I understand that conventional unmonitored alarm system has 3 major components - keypad (to arm/disarm etc),control panel (which monitors sensors and sets an alarm when armed), dialer (if you want to call outside). I understand 'proper' system will have keypad separated from control panel and the control panel should be in a metal box in less accessible and visible place. so it should take sometime for an intruder to find it and smash it. however the question - what do you do with dialers? there are not a lot of places where the land line socket can be placed in the property hence intruder simply need to go quickly around (dialing a number and playing message shou…

My external alarm bells (2 at high level)are not sounding when the system is activated/tripped.The internal bell on the panel are activated. Could the bells have been deactivated via the keyboard? If so could you please tell me how can they be reactivated. I had understood that if wires to alarm bell were cut the internal alarm would be activated.

Hello I'm rewiring my house and as my floorboards are up and walls chased I have decided to install a burglar alarm. I'm going to go with the Castle Care Tech Euro 46. I have a few questions, should I use 6 or 8 core wire? I'm pretty sure everything wires back to the Control Panel. Finally does the control panel come with a keypad because I would like the flush satin chrome one. Or does it come as a second input device therefore I will have 2 keypads on the system I hope you are able to help with my questions Regards Jasdeep

Hello, I would be grateful if you could help me in any way with my problem as outlined as follows. My son has recently moved into a house with an existing burgular alarm. Unfortunately, the alarm control box doesn't have any manufacturers name or address. The only markings on the front of the box is what appears to be "9448". The original owners didn't leave any details regarding the alarm and we are unable to contact them. After speaking to a number of alarm installers, it seems that the alarm might be manufactured by scantronic. In the hope that this is correct I wanted to try to obtain a user manual so that we could find out how to reset the memory to factory setti…

Hi all, wondering if anyone can help please: I have a wired home alarm system using the Honeywell G2-12 panel. This was an existing wired system and I replaced an old domestic failed panel with a G2-12 panel and MK7 keypad with Keyprox. I now have a programmed up and working inruder alarm system that can be set and unset with users and PIN entry on keypad. I need to have a Prox Tag programmed in so that the system can be unset from Night Set to keep it simple for the wife to unset the alarm without her glasses first thing in the morning as she is normally first to come down - she is long sighted so only needs glasses for reading which she forgets to bring upstairs…

Good morning to all! I just purchased a Visonic 33 kit from SecWare, and I am experiencing trouble with regards to the communication between the panel and KP 250 keypad. I already opened a ticket with Support and awaiting instructions. Quite often the keypad stops responding whilst a "communicating..." message is displayed. In that case I need to remove the batteries from the keypad to get it working again.. Sometimes communication between keypad and panel is lost completely (a message "no communication" is displayed). The keypad and the panel are in close proximity and I tried relocating both units to no effect. Also, enrolling devices is a hit and miss situatio…

hi i bought a dsc power832 alarm off of ebay about 3 years ago and have just got around to fitting it and realised that the installer code i was given is wrong. it's badged as british gas and apparently they had them made with there own defualt engineer codes. anyway i want to use as much of this old alarm as possible before i scrap it and so i was going to buy the ADE Accenta Mini Gen4 with LCD Keypad that you have for sale. my question is will the dsc pir's work with this ok? (i'm assuming yes) and also i see that it requires a 2.1ah 12v battery. my old alarm has a 12v 7.0ah battery so the voltage is the same. but by the looks of pictures they seem to be a diffe…

I have the above as part of my alarm system. The external sounder does not seem to be operating although it seems to try. The strobe lights still flash when the system is set. I assume this is something to do with the piezo in the unit rather than a fuse. The unit is about 5 years old. If I buy the back plate will that come with everything I need to replace the sounder and is it likely that the fixings will line up or has the design been changed?

I used the Honeywell Activ8 PIR in an installation in a house where they have a cat. I have set the tolerance to 15kg and pulse to medium (jumper link between 2 and 3) There have been a few false alarms in different rooms and none of the sensors face a window or stairs, there are chairs and sofas though. I have changed the sensors to the highest tolerance yesterday - 25kg and fitted the jumper link between 3 and 4. Which I wouldn't think is necessary for a cat. Is there anything i may have missed that caused that problem? I don't know yet whether the change I made is good yet as i've only done it yesterday. Is it maybe because it's a relatively cheap pet se…

Please can anyone help resolve this problem with Intruder Alarm system Scantronic 9800+. (9827) In brief, there is a code showing as bF which I understand through d/loading the User manual means: battery fault on the control panel. The alarm has been going off several times a day for nearly a week and I disconnected the ringer several days ago but am too worried to open up the control panel in case it then goes off again and I can't press the code to stop the noise once the faccia is removed. However, I need to see inside in order to know what type of battery I need to buy to replace the present faulty battery. Any assistance would be very much appreciated since I h…

have purchased the Honeywell model from you DT7450 and have just come to start fitting it. However looking at the instructions it states don't fit facing direct sunlight or facing windows yet its a "dual tech" that you recommended for a conservatory. I now that me previous conservatory had a similar model but as it was approaching ten years old and the size of a house brick, I thought I would replace it. Is this Honeywell model suitable?

Hello, I would like to install a wireless alarm system in my house. The walls and floors on all levels are made of concrete/masonry so wireless strength is an import consideration. I am also keen to integrate the alarm with other smart home products i.e. Nest smoke alarm, Belkin Wemo products, etc. My idea is that if the alarm is triggered I can set the lights to be turned on. Whilst smart home connectivity is desirable, the following items are essential. iOS/Android app for remote monitoring and control. I want a proper internet app not just an app that sends sms commands to the control panel. I can hardwire the control panel to my router. Support for 3 ke…

Having a bit of a nightmare here trying to default the user codes on the Galaxy g2-20 panel, can log in with the engineers code but when I go into the users menu the only code I can change is the engineers code itself. Also been through the engineers manual in detail and theres nothing there. Ive tried a power down and power up method that worked for me before but that doesn't seem to work either. If any1s got any ideas would be a great help cheers

Reading the tecnical specification for the honeywell Accenta compact it says its maximum battery size is 2.1 A/h. As 2.1 A/h are getting harder to find, (ie they are now 2.2 or 2.3 A/h) is the size critical or is there a slight tolerance?
