jayjay, you will need a euro one to utilise the prox function. AFAIK this is currently only available in kit form (ie with 1 keypad)

You might find one, but id advise you find your contractor first. Also you will need a prosys installer. You can add keypads to it but you will need to correct keypad for your version of panel. Im guessing you have just bought a panel only? It is suitable for home use, but its supposed to be a pro only panel due to its complexity. We currently cant supply it without written approval from risco.

Jay The prosys is a great panel, but is only available through official channels if you have had the full training and are a professional installer. It is defenetly one for the pro's. Hopefully you will get full docs with it etc. Risco wont support it unless you hold a valid training cert. We only supply ProSYS's with that info. Let us know how you get on. Support

The 700 was an eol / double pole panel, the 690ID is an ID based panel. Also the 700 didnt support LCD. Support

The mic is indeed pcb mounted, while technically possible to extend, it wouldnt be supported. You are going to need some sort of psu. Im assuming that you will be running this from an intruder panel. If so this has its own 12v backup system that will also run your dialler. If your concerned that severing the wire betwen the panel and dialler is a risk then id suggest a dialler isnt secure enough in this instance and you should be looking at redcare or dualcom etc. The only units that offer remote mics are the texecom and pyronix units. All units suffer from the reliabilty if the sms service centre you use, im not aware that the texecom is worse than any other, but the gsm units are better as they dont have to dial the centre via the land line, and are caperble of texting in the conventional way. If your after dialin facility primerly there are audio verification systems that are designed for this, the diallers offer a very basic version of this.

For extremes of temprature and or direct sunlight any PIR sensor will be susceptible to nuisance alarms. In these situations id recommend a Dualtec. As with everything these vary and all have their plus and minus's. As a Dualtec is PIR and microwave based (both technologies have to alarm) a false alarm on the pir side alone will not cause the sensor to alarm as the microwave side hasnt activated, and vice versa. But while a pir cannot detect through glass a microwave can. Because of this id recommend a Honeywell DT7550 or 7450 sensor with a K band Microwave. A k band is a higher freq so is harder for the waves to penetrate past the detction area. I would expect a vibrations sensor to detect this as its high freq vibration, but you will need more than 1 per wall. Nick Without a site survey its difficult to recommend any product. The powermax or the risco wisdom seem ideal for you though. If you have previous experience of the powermax then that would seem the logical choice. These things arnt that easy to program and training is advised. Support

yes that looks correct. the strobe can either be connected through one of the relays or connected with the bell - to follow the bell. Support

Attached is the wiring diagram you need to connect the tamper return from your bell to BELL TMP Ensure you have got the holdoff supplies from the aux connectors not the bell as the bell- is switched

Neil The rafiki system is a 2 wire system. Id advise you have a good read through the system spec sheets but All devices sit on the 2 wire zone cable.
