  1. It's the design of the detector however doesn't usually affect eol circuits Prove the cable or swap inputs first to see if it's a damaged expander. Also ensure the power supplies are good batteries charge voltage etc
  2. No I doubt its the Panel if the rios are reporting it. the line should be irrelevant i wouldnt worry about that. id prove the detector line first by just using a resistor. then id confirm the detectors dont have a cap between alarm and tamper lines then if its just one detector type id drill that down
  3. no its not common. Id be doing some tests on the cable etc. Or move the circuit or swap 2 devices over first
  4. id say not an issue. HR is high res reported by the panel assumming your 1k 1k the panel is seeing about 1.3k (ish) thats showing to me a different issue
  5. id be looking at the hr issues on the galaxy first. Its mostl likly to support these You can use common rail 0v on a Galaxy you cant on most panels. Can you post an example of your detectors?
  6. I have been looking on your website for some standalone smoke/heat detectors for use in a boiler house. Could you confirm that the relay output is volt free and can be used to connected to remote PLC digital input card (24VDC). Aritech Photoelectric Smoke Detector with c/o relay output Do you do a range that is more suitable for an industrial installation like a boiler house? It has to be standalone and dual heat and smoke and have the facility to repeat the alarm remotely via a relay output?
  7. Some manufact do supply cases only. I'd have to find out tomorrow
  8. Did find this though Honeywell Galaxy Rs 232 Connection Help - Introduce Yourself - Security Installer Community (thesecurityinstaller.co.uk)
  9. I use an asix based one. Id have to check with honeywell if there is official recommendation but i wouldnt be hopefull, iirc they dont support serial over usb
  10. Are you getting any traffic?
  11. the issue here is the actual type of fire. An optical smoke detector can detect smoke and then a relay base will provide your relay for interconnection. However most are 12v you may need to use a power converter to drop to 12v dc from 24
  12. Hello, I'm hoping you can assist with a product enquiry. I'm looking for a device to detect the start of a lithium battery fire. I'm keen for advice on if heat and/or smoke is best for this use case. The power available is 24v DC and I'm hoping the sensor will have either a repay or some sort of output I can connect into a monitoring PLC. many thanks,
  13. Problem will be proving correct ownership etc. Can you contact where you got it from for the previous password?
  14. Is this internal or external?
  15. A shock sensor is designed to detect a large force. Maybe a photo of the structure?
  16. Hi, what do you mean by marcher board?
  17. If you have set it to double pole you don't need the resistors?
  18. Does seem like decent advice are you the installer?
  19. Unfortunately this forum is for pro installers only You could go to thesecurityinstaller.co.uk for other input
  20. No, I can't your crossing manufacturers
  21. Technically there isn't a limit but it should only be upto 2 on a double door
  22. Depends on what it is wiring too, is it double pole currently?
  23. No I'm afraid they use a different data line and fob tech
  24. AFAIK these wont support anything but old school cameras. Is this an XY issue? What are you trying to achieve?
