Intruder Alarms

hi brought honeywell informa a while ago along with accenta g4 package. the problem is i can get the infroma to ring out in engineers mode but when the alarm is activated (set off) to see if it rings out it doesn't. the only time it works is when there is no power to the alarm mains or battery. i have connected the dialer to it dedicated connection and also to the +/- and the bell - but either way it still doesn't work. any ideas.

hi i have installed a castle care alarm with digi-modem1200 and i was wanting it to send a text message when the alarm goes off.i have put sms message in format in program digi/sms settings but it does not send text message when alarm is activated.the mobile numbers are correct in settings. thanks

Hi, I installed the LCD panel yesterday. and the screen just froze a few hours after I set the alarm. The keypad was unresponsive and showing time and date on the screen. I powered the alarm off and when I reconnected it, the LCD panel was still unresponsive but the screen was showing Accenta G4 RKP F131-01-111 The keys are NOT responding. Any help? Hi, We are a school with a primary, secondary & sixth form buildings, each with their own intruder alarm panel and we are looking for a fob which can be programmed to all 3 panels. I believe our panels are Honeywell Galaxy. Do you sell an alarm fob which can be programmed to multiple panels? I look forward to hearing from you.

Do you sell both MCT-302 and MCT-302T? The information in the text on the site talks about both items but in the end it is indicated that you only sell MCT-302. Is this correct?

I have the above as part of my alarm system. The external sounder does not seem to be operating although it seems to try. The strobe lights still flash when the system is set. I assume this is something to do with the piezo in the unit rather than a fuse. The unit is about 5 years old. If I buy the back plate will that come with everything I need to replace the sounder and is it likely that the fixings will line up or has the design been changed?

I am looking to alarm my workshop. It consists of 3 rooms currently with plans to add another room in the future. There are 2 up and over doors, 1 standard access door and 1 double split opening door. 2 of these doors will be entry points with a keypad located close by. Only one of the rooms has a window. Good afternoon, I purchased a Veritas system with lcd keypad. The issue I have is that the keypad is showing a tamper fault and the tamper switch does not seem to be working. Hello all I am in need of ome help please. My alarm has had it's first fault in 15 years by showing a mains failiure on the keypad. I have traced the fault and found that the power supply/transformer is knackered. 240 is going in but nowt coming out. Does anyone know if it's possible to get replacement power supply/transformers and if so where from. Cheers all. PB

Hi all Looking to purchase a wireless alarm for my house. 5pir's, 1 contact, panel. Would like to use existing wired bell box if possible. A good battery life would also be nice. Been looking at the infinite prime alarm, and the visonic powermax kit. The Scantronic 500r also looks ok Only problem is that the powermax plugs in with a plug in transformer, wouldn'y that be easy to defeat by a burglar? Any advice would be great Thanks Josh

Hello, My alarm panel has packed up so I'm replacing it. The bellbox has seen better days so replacing that as well. My original was a Scantronic 9448 so am going for the 9448EUR-90 control panel but can't decide which bellbox to go for. I'm stuck between Novagard 2 Merit , Ventcroft Compact Classic & Ventcroft Evolution. I want to know are they all compatable with my alarm system and which are reccomended? Thanks

Hello all, appreciate some help here, i have 4 pir sensors and a ADE Accenta Mini Gen4 panel, how should i wire the pir sensors in series? or should i wire each pir back to the panel? thanks for the advise!

We have purchased 4 x Texecom 3D PETWISE and 4 x Texecom 3D Quad PIRs (order number 22362) and we are in the process of installing the PIRs. All the PETWISE PIRs are working fine but only 1 out of 4 3D Quad PIRs are working. The 3 3D Quads don't have the LED lighting up when 12V DC power was applied. The LED jumper is ON but none of the 3 works. 3 failures out of 4 is pretty poor quality control. One of the three failed 3D PIRs bodies has been installed on the wall. Please advise if there is anything else that we need to check before returning them for warranty replacement.

Is it possible for the main board to become wiped?? The alarm has been installed and was working fine for 2 years until a kitchen refit company decided to cut through three of the cables. (the cable between the control unit and the key pad was NOT cut) I've reconnected the cut cables, and initially the display read "Fuse/Bat Fault" - sure enough the Aux1 fuse had blown so I've replaced this. Now the remote keypad will light up when you power on, but there is no text on the display. I've checked the 3 fuses again, and that there is power to the PCB (17v) and that the power is reaching the keypad (12v) Any ideas on what else to try?? Could a wiring …

Hi, Need confirmation that the set-up I have listed will all work together, we are ex.UK but now live in Crete where we have built a house without, regretably it now turns out, a hard wired alarm capability. What is the difference between the Texecom Veritas R8+ and the Veritas Excel??? According to the comparison chart there doesnt seem to be a difference in hardware? Is there a difference in software? If so what are these differences? Once again securitywarehouse* are the CHEAPEST by 68p with their competitors triton direct! Id use securitywarehouse though as you have good service!

how do i clear an error - it states z03 alarmed - living room and says 'alarm in memory'. i also have a s01 tamper/open error [its the back pin i think - box is fixed back to pebble dash wall and the pins clearly not pushed in.] - not sure if it can be adjusted - instructions arent that clear... if i sort out the external box, will this then clear the issue/problem i have with the living room and allow me to set the alarm??
