Hi, I am moving a scantronic panel a couple of foot away and I will be powering the system down. The issue is I don't want to climb ladder to disable the bellbox. Can I just short the Tamper and 0V from the bellbox to stop the SAB ringing. Any Advice will be appriciated thanks.

Hello there, Could you, please, help me finding which of your system would be most suitable for my needs? I am looking for alarm system for the house and 2 wooden bike sheds 7 meters from the house. The system for house can be wired, the system for sheds must be wireless. The house system will need 5 PIRs, one of them should tolerate a tortoise (25cm, 2 kg, in a heated enclosure in the hall), 2 door contacts, 2 sensors for windows (breaking glass or vibration?). I have an A083-01 that was working fine in a Galaxy Flex 20 up until about a month ago when the panel started to report line failures. Despite several resets of both the Internet and the panel, the error would come back within an hour or so (line fail sensing). The diagnostics on the panel report that the comms are all good. The LEDs on the A083 also suggest everything is OK (Green on 0.1, off 0.9 sec) Orange intermittent = ethernet. If I disconnect the 435 cable I get an immediate error on the panel, so it is being detected OK.I’ve replaced the Ethernet cable, used a different IP address etc, all without change.However, I cannot communicate in or out via the unit. , I have an older alarm panel that does not need EOL resistors. Is there a way to use this device without the EOL resistors selected as a normally closed circuit like traditional alarm circuits? Before I had the texecom AED 0001 which is fine but this new replacement talks about EOL resistors built in in the literature. I just want to know if it is compatible with the texecom veritas panel which doesn't use EOL

Hi I was looking at the MCS-710 siren and in the features it says "Requires Rev F or later Control Panel". How do I know if I've got one of those? (I have a Swedish control panel)

I Have A2Z detectors on alarm system and I would like to fit a CO2 detector also to alarm system I know A2Z no longer exist is there anything simular available you can use instead

I'm having some problems in getting the CQR SC517 to work with the Premier Elite 48 panel. 5 contacts work as intended and they are setup the way that I cut T1,T2 and the red wires giving the correct restiance towards the Texecom (Double Pole / EOL), in Wintex they work perfectly. 10 contacts do not work, gap is the same between the contact and the magnet 6-10 mm. The do not work, same resistors are cut. In Wintex they report tamper alarm. Any ideeas ?

Hi - I have a Scantronic 500r+ wireless alarm system - and need to add a new movement detector sensor to the system for our kithen. Ive looked on your website and there seem to be a number of different movement detectors that go with Scantronic wireless systems - so wondered if you could advise which one would be best to add to out system. Our present detectors are all square-ish - and there are a couple that look similar - but could you pl let me have a model no I should order? Hi, So it's 1:49am, my husband is at work and I can't get hold of him. my 9800 alarm is saying battery fault and keeps going off every few minutes. My daughter is stood by the pin pad in tears whilst i desperately try to find a solution - is there anyone who can help? I feel sick and I'm shaking! I don't know if it's going off outside. The company who installed it have gone out of business and I don't know who to ring and there's no user manual anywhere, I can't find much online either. Hi, Some advice please? Can you suggest which pet friendly PIRs are suitable for use with Scantronic 9448 panel which I am looking to purchase. Need a very compact PIR and noted the Texacom compact but is this only suitable for wireless systems as I noted from a search on the web that it uses a battery?

mMy keypad is faulty on my accenta 8 mini when i searched for the 8EP219 keypad i found it to be obsolete and replaced with the 8EP416. As i dont know what i'm doing can you tell me if its just a straight swap with the wireing?? Cheers MATT

Installed above alarm several weeks ago, the one only problem I have not been able to resolve is that there is no option to part set the system using program 2. Program 1 is the main program so I've set up program 2 so the landing pir is not used and intended to use this program at night. The instructions say enter CODE press P and select program number in this case 2 but I press number 2 but nothing happens and it stays set on program 1. I also have an LCD keypad upstairs for use at night. One thing the instructions say is that "the installer has to program the system for part operation", I presume this mean program 2 has to be set up which I've done or am I missing s…

I have a powermaster30 and would like to use the special features ,"Look after People at home" as described in the manual. in Devices configuraion of my PIR i have set the "DISARM ACTIVITY - YES, No delay" but does not receive any information if i stop moving. Is there anything else i have to configure in the CP to use this feature?

Hi, I have a Honeywell Galaxy 3 48 panel running V5.50 firmware. I've seen firmware for the Dimension 48 @ V6.79. Are these 2 panels the same and can I upgrade my panel to V6.79 firmware or are there hardware difference that cap my firmware @ V5.55? I always thought they were the same panel just with different firmware but after looking though info I'm no longer sure as to the compatibility. If I can upgrade, I'll purhcase the SPI key from security warehouse but will need some instructions on ow to perform the update. Thanks

Please advise what is meant by - A siren can only be learned in starting version Y51.

Can anyone offer advice on programming the advanced modes of this dialer? I want to enable the option that modifies the dial out sequence such that each of the 4 numbers are dialled once in turn (default mode is for No.1 to be dialled 15 times before moving to No.2) The operation/introduction section of the manual suggests that this option is available, however I can't find the appropriate advanced programming mode/code for this option. Hi, I already have wired system with panel, 6 wired PIR and bell. I'm unsure what make/model existing panel is, but what I'd like is new panel to do is: - allow remote access to arm,/disarm and check alarm status (web/app/gsm) - connect existing wird PIR and bell (if possible) - have ability to set different zones. Currently have home zone and garage zone. When out and about we arm both zones; when home we arm just garage zone. - allow new wireless devices to be added Thanks,
