I am planning to replace an old intruder alarm system with all new equipment. The only problem I can foresee is the space available for the control panel (fitted in a meter cupboard). The existing panel is a GARTEC (h175xw210xd70). An ACCENTA MINI GEN4 (h200xw253xd55) will fit in the space available but there will be little room (approx 20mm) above and below the panel. My question is: How does the front cover of the panel open and/or how is it removed? Does it hinge (top & bottom) and will I have enough room to open/remove it?

Hi was wondering if anyone could help, I've just installed my first visonic powermax complete intruder system and I have a problem with the wireless siren. What seems to happen is I enrol the siren using the selftest button and it operates normally then after a couple of days the siren doesn't sound under an alarm condition and seems to totally drop of the system. I'm now wondering if it's a dud battery or a possible pcb fault. I've tried using the diagnostic function to check and keep getting the (not ok) message and I've also measured the battery and it seems fine but I'm not sure if the draw is dragging it down once connected. If anyone can help it would be much apprec…

Does anyone have experience with the Vanderbilt SPC 4320 intruder alarm? I am wondering, if I can wire, mount and program the system by myself - or it requires a professional installer and/or software? Best regards Erik

All four (IS215T)of the pir's not working thus setting the zones as triggered, i tested the board and you get 13v across the two terminals, if you loop out each zone the alarm works fine. But obviously has a fault on it, to wipe out 4 pirs all at once. There is no explanation to why they have been set off, as the room was empty, then another pir would do the same, but on a different time of day etc this is without the alarm being set, no tamper is being recorded on the LCD key pad. Now all four zones with these pir's fitted have the alarm triggered on walk test and the alarm wont set, there is 13v power at the panel and the pir end all wires have been continuity check…

Hi. After installing a new accenta mini today i was ready to power up. connected mains but on connecting battery connections i saw the battery fuse blow. I checked all wiring, found to be correct and changed the fuse, connected battery and again the fuse blew immediately. I then disconnected all wiring from the system, i.e. bells and detectors, so it was 'as arrived new' and again, replaced battery fuse, powered mains and connected battery and the same thing happened again. I left battery & fuse out and powered up from mains. Alarm seemed to be working ok but i then noticed smoke coming from a resistor above and slightly right to the battery fuse, so i…

Hi I prevously bought a Powermax + system from you and I'm having two problems. I can't seem to be able to pair the external siren (MCS 710). I follow the instructions to the letter but when I transmit and press the self test button no pairing is done, it just start sounding (loud) My second problem is similar, I try to pair the MCM 140 keypad and it feels like the pairing is complete but I can not turn on the alarm via the keypad. I'm I missing someting here? Best regards

I have purchase from Security Warehouse an ADE Honeywell Easy Set Unit with an ADE Honeywell Accenta Metal Gen 4. The instructions for the Easy Set provide Wiring Details for connection to a G3 and an Accenta 8 Panel, but there is no wiring and program changes for a Gen 4. How is the wiring configured and what program changes are necessary. Our Reference Secware 3 sent 19.45 on the 5th of November.

A number of years ago I purchased a Honeywell Galaxy 2-20 Wireless starter kit – Part # C020-01-C from you. • Software Version 1.44 • Hardware version 1.00 I’m considering purchasing the following products to give me access to the alarm on my local Ethernet network: • Honeywell Galaxy User Management Suite (Network enabled) - Model: R058-CD-DG • Honeywell Galaxy Ethernet Module - Model: E080-08 Can you confirm that the Ethernet Module and Software are compatible with the Galaxy 2-20 in its current Hardware and Software configuration? If a firmware upgrade is required please give details.

Can anyone offer advice on programming the advanced modes of this dialer? I want to enable the option that modifies the dial out sequence such that each of the 4 numbers are dialled once in turn (default mode is for No.1 to be dialled 15 times before moving to No.2) The operation/introduction section of the manual suggests that this option is available, however I can't find the appropriate advanced programming mode/code for this option. Any advice would be appreciated Regards and TIA John

I have a Cooper SD2+ connected to a system and working fine using the O2 SMS centre. I have been asked to switch this to using the BT Text service so that use can be made of the bundled free texts with the BT phone line. Not an unreasonable request. The problem is that I have tried almost every setting to get this unit to work with BT Text and have even had a BT engineering helping but to no avail. (message centre number 1470 P 17094009) Has anyone else found this to be a problem or managed to solve it? If so could you post the settings and procedure. Thanks

I have a Gardtec CP8L system that I inherited when I moved into my home several years ago. I wasn't left a code so asked the company who had serviced the system a couple of months previously to reset the system. On visiting, I was told that the system was faulty and the technician was unable to repair it. He left it powered-up such that the PIRs and bell box LEDs still flashed, so still acting as a deterrent. The keypad LCD display is blank. I have not touched the system, not even turning-off the mains, in case the external bell activates and I have no way of deactivating it. Is it possible that the anti-tamper mechanisms are still working? If so, how would I deactivat…

Hi, i purchased the simpleset reader with a G4 accent mini system in November 2009. I installed the system in January all worked great with 2 keypads and the simpleset at the front door exit point. This morning my wife set the alarm with the keyfob and returned 30 minutes later went to unset the alarm and it would not work.It just has a power on light and nothing else. All other aspects are fine and have tried a number of trouble shooting tests but its useless. Reading the forums, someone has had the same fault with a new item. Is the item under a 12 month warranty/replacement? We now cannot use the alarm which is a little worrying! Many thanks for your help.

I have changed the battery in both of my arming stations and now the Homelink 75 does not see them, I have followed the instructions in the Installation & Programming guide, but am currently baffled where it states to activate the tamper switch on the arming station, but where is the tamper switch? I have tried pressing each button, two buttons together, removing the back so as to disconnect the battery, still the panel does not see the arming station. I have checked the battery voltage which is 3v as they are new batteries. None of the arming station lines- 1 to 4 in the display panel has an icon against it. Even my alarm service engineer who had no…
