Model: A083-00-01 Ethernet Module Dead?

Featured Replies

I need help please.

Bought a A083-00-01 Ethernet module off ebay (yes silly idea) to install into a FX020 install I've just completed.

Module has no status LEDs and the system does not see it.

Before I order a new one from SW, can anyone tell me if I'm missing something?

I would have thought the module would flash an LED even with no connection to the main board with power applied.  I'm sure it is dead.

Any advice much appreciated, thank you :)

It should illuminate one led at power up, then the bus led should flash. It sounds like it's a faulty unit. If it's from me (galaxy_guy) get in touch for a replacement.

Thank you for the response, much appreciated.  Going to try and get a refund from the ebay seller (wish me luck as he says it was fully tested!) and order a new one from Security warehouse.

If you've plugged it in when the panel was on, then you may have fried the processor on the board. Anyway, I hope you get it resolved.
