Ticket Question [Honeywell Galaxy]

Featured Replies

A number of years ago I purchased a Honeywell Galaxy 2-20 Wireless starter kit – Part # C020-01-C from you.

• Software Version 1.44

• Hardware version 1.00

I’m considering purchasing the following products to give me access to the alarm on my local Ethernet network:

• Honeywell Galaxy User Management Suite (Network enabled) - Model: R058-CD-DG

• Honeywell Galaxy Ethernet Module - Model: E080-08

Can you confirm that the Ethernet Module and Software are compatible with the Galaxy 2-20 in its current Hardware and Software configuration?

If a firmware upgrade is required please give details.

Sorry, I haven't been keeping up to date with these forums.  I'm always on diynot though.

Your panel is pretty old firmware wise and should really be brought up to V1.56.  The G2 series will work with the Ethernet module, but functionality is limited. You're better off getting a SelfMon LCE module, as it includes virtualkeypad where the Honeywell modules do not.  The Galaxy and LCE Ethernet modules both support RSS programming and event reporting to SelfMon, but the LCE gives the added benefit of app control.

If you PM me, I can work out how to get you up to 1.56.
