Hello, I have a Visionic Powermaster 10 alarm system that I want to upgrade to connect to BroadBand. I believe the unit I need is the Powerlink 3? I have a couple of questions ... Is this the right unit for my alarm? Once connected to my home router, am I able to use it right away, for example, through a telephone app, to monitor my alarm system, any ip camera etc? Do I HAVE to subscribe to any third party service or is that just an extra option? Thanks

My current home burglar alarm system 'Accenta G3' (product code 8SP401N) is broken. The transformer has blown in the box due to recent power cut in my area. I currently have a Accenta G3 box and a seperate wired user control panel linked to the box. I have 4 wired sensors in the house 2 for the doors and 2 in rooms. There is an alarm box on the front of the house. We were wondering if we could simply replace the box with the new Accenta G4 system but still keep the old G3 user control panel and the existing sensors set up in the house and alarm box on the outside of the house as is i.e. is it simply case of un-wiring the existing G3 box, removing it from the wall and replacing it with the new G4 box and re-connect existing wires. This would remove the need to completely replace the old system with a completely new system. Is this possible i.e. the Accenta G3 model and new Accenta G4 model are sufficiently similar to allow this? Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.

I purchased several items including a ADE Honeywell Accenta Mini Gen4 and a Honeywell ActiveGuard AG6 External Siren to update an old system in my house. I fitted the items and all seemed to work well. However I have just realised that when I remove the PCB cover, activating the tamper, the external bell and strobe do not operate. The sounders on both of the key pads are activated by the tamper. The external siren and strobe work as they should in all other situations (test, SOS, if the alarm is triggered etc.) I just cannot work out what is wrong, any help would be appreciated?

Hi-I have recently bought a house with an installed intruder system which appears to have a fault on the panel pub. The system is a sterling unti but with no other distinguishing identifiers system installed in 2007 and the documentation identifies it as compliant with EN50131-1 security grade1. It has 8 programmable zones and 2 programmable outputs. It's connected to 2 LCD keypads( which are identified for use with nllcdkit) I am looking for a replacement pub or a complete replacement control panel Can you recommend a unit and advise a good quality replacement

Which of these DVRs has 16 channel (BNC) for analogue cameras AND at least 4 phono inputs for audio? How soon can you order one for me? And can you sell them without any hard drives?

Hi, Looking for a panel that can control a relay whereby when the alarm is set, e.g. when leaving the building, a signal is sent from the panel to a relay. This signal causes the relay to switch and so makes another device active. The signal stays continuous whilst the panel is set. Conversly, when the panel is un-set, the signal is withdrawn and so the relay becomes inactive. Looking for a low cost compact wired model preferrably. Which model do you recommend? Thanks

Hi there, I'm looking to install a house alarm for my property and I require a little bit of assistance finding the right piece of kit for me. Ideally I want the system to be wireless. I want one of those Klaxxons which will alert the area if there was a break in. I would need 12 Pirs. 7 Door Sensors. 7 window sensors. I also want the main box ideally to be hidden away, and use a wireless keypads by the doors. (2). Also I'm not so fussed if the alarm bell has to wired up. If there is Wifi and connectivity then that would be a bonus. Please let me know if you need to know more information. Kind regards Hiren

Hi, I sent the below to Honeywell UK but haven't heard from them. As it stands I am unable to set the alarm so this is pretty urgent. Can you assist me in understanding why all of a sudden a Le Sucre system is no longer working with your TC2.0e web service? It was working fine until a few days ago when the alarm would no longer set from the main panel using proximity fobs. If I login to the TC2.0e portal I notice the connectivity icon in the top right corner remains red with a cross through it. It won't allow me to delete equipment in order to start over. I have pushed the reset button on the main gprs unit and have of course power cycled all equipment- everything I try fails. I have a strong technical background so have tried all the troubleshooting steps I can think of. I tried logging in using the android app to see if that would work, but it wouldn't recognise the pin code upon initial registration? Please help! Many thanks,

Good morning, Thank you for your email regarding the cover for my Flash Guard sounder. I am quite happy to purchase a new unit but would like to know if the six core cable that controlled the old unit will be ok for a new one. I have included a photo of the old unit and to which colour went to which connection on the vertical block located on the left of the photo. 1- Yellow (Tamp out) 2- White (Tamp in) 3- 4- Blue (Supply minus) 5- 6- Green (Trigger) 7- Red (Strobe plus) 8- Black (Trobe minus) There was then a Red coming from a battery going to the plus connection on the small terminal block. I hope this will help in recommending the right sounder for my application.

Hi, I am thinking about buying a Le Sucre alarm system. I am discouraged to buy a professionally installed system because of the high maintenance charges. Is the installation of the Le Sucre system straightforward enough for a member of the public to install? I have some technical knowledge so it would help if you could highlight any specific challenges. Many thanks.

I am thinking about buying a le sucre alarm system. Could you please advise on the following. 1. Is it possible to set only ground floor sensors at night? 2. Can the system be connected to the phoneline as well as sim? 3. After the two year sim period where would the sim be purchased? Many thanks

hi, I read the specs for the cameras I purchased off you and it says the current consumption for each camera is 200mA, since I've got 4 cameras I selected a 2A swich mode PSU just to be on the safe side. From having received the cameras, I've noticed the labels on them show 12v/700mA, and it also says this is the instructions I got with them? Is this current the maximum that the camera can take or the maximum that the camera may draw from the supply?, just if that's the case I'm guessing a 2A supply would overload.

Hello, The company I work for has purchased a Eur-108x tag reader and we are having difficulties with adding a new tag to the system. The problem is that we cannot pair the new tag with the reader. Do you have any information that could possibly help us out with this situation?

[Ticket Question] Replacing Components In An Existing System
Secware replied to Secware's topic in Intruder Alarms
Thanks for your response, I purchased the components and have installed them, looks good so far! I don't want to bother my neighbours too much when test the system so before I connect mains and battery supply what is the best way to temporarily de activate the external siren ? If possible I want to leave the strobe activated so I can see when strobe/bell box has been activated during testing. -
I built my house 17 years ago with a wired alarm system. The six core wiring is inside the wall panels etc. Over the years I have replaced a couple of PIRs etc but now some of the other components are starting to fail (e.g. some parts of the LED displays do not show etc). I was looking to use the existing wiring and replace the control panel, two keypads and the external siren with the following: ADE Honeywell Accenta Mini Gen4 with LED Keypad Secware 12v 0.8A/h Value Alarm Battery (assuming the Mini Gen4 does not include a battery) ADE Honeywell LCD Keypad for Optima / Accenta Control Panels Honeywell ActiveGuard AG6 External Siren Blue. Inc White Cover Is this feasible and is there anything else I should check before proceeding?

Could you suggest what I would need to connect a 30 foot cat6A cable running from a DVR downstairs to the loft space upstairs. I'm considering 4 channel baluns? passive or active I understand the active needs power are there any other reasons to pick one against the other. On my cat6a cable it reads LSZH-CO1-003-003-09-038 (2014/32) 146200

I recently purchased a Honeywell galaxy G2K3WR-01-C and ADE Honeywell 8IR103 PIR. I require some technical support for wiring the Activ8 detector (ADE Honeywell 8IR103 PIR). I have the usual manual which comes with the panel and the detector but it is not that clear. I am simply putting one detector per zone and resistors at the detector end. I which to know where the resistors are actually connected to and where cables are connected to. Would you be able to assist please? Also, can you advise what speech dialler would I need for this system please ?
