  1. I have just installed an Accenta Mini Gen 4. I am using zone 2 on the panel as as inhibited (default setting) when I set the panel it show zone 2 as an error as it detects the operator in the exit zone. The alarm sets ok after you exit the property as the error clears. Upon re-entry zone 2 is inhibited ok as the alarm is not activated. I would have thought that the zone 2 should also be inhibited in the exit mode and not show an error on the panel. Is this correct.
  2. I am looking to replace the scantronic alarm system I have (the ion 16 as I have found it quite poor). I am wanting something like the new Visonic (with Visonic PowerG KP-160 Black Touch Screen Arming Station c/w Prox). Can you advise of what I need and costings? Ideally I want: 2 Pet PIR's, 1 door contact, 2 control units with 4 proixi tags 1 outdoor siren Can these be self fit?
  3. I need to replace the battery in my Scantronic 9651, but can't find this on your website. Please advise the name of the battery.
  4. Hi there, I'm trying to source the components for an alarm kit for a building which is divided into two with two separate doors, but ideally one common alarm system. I have worked out that I need - Bellbox (external) - Keypad x2 (RFID/Tag or similar would be great!) - PIR x 3 - Control Box with backup battery - Door contact x 3 - Cable & Clips Would you be able to advise in which products you think would be most suitable?
  5. I am only using the equipment as supplied, with no additional Antennas. the building is a school constructed of brick walls with the usual amount of IT equipment and other services. I loose signal at the most extreme locations which in a straight line may be 100mts max but with a lot of walls in the way!
  6. I recently bought 1 x scantronic 768r receiver and 8 x 701reur-50 transmitters which work great with the exception of range failure at a couple of extreme locations on site. will the 794rEUR-00 antenna improve the range or do I need another piece of kit. please advise so I can order the correct parts. many thanks,
  7. please could you supply information on internal wiring of contact as I can not explain to my engineers how they work when connecting 2 contact together we have wired them and are working BUT not sure how wired in side contact ?
  8. Hi there, i bought one of these pirs in my last order. I fit it and was sure it was working but i tested it the other day and it doesnt seem to be working correctly. It does not trigger the alarm, seems that it is permanently closed. Is there something i need to do, ie change the factory settings on the sensor or does it need returning? Regards
  9. Hi, I have installed the system purchase last week, no issues, just a small question. Is it possible to switch off or time out the LED lights on the keypad, or are they on all the time? Many thanks
  10. I have many ACTpro 100e devices connected to ACT Win Pro Software. This occurs in several places in Greece. How can I connect all ACTpro 100e devices->to local ACT Win PRO Software. and all these places to be controlled from a central location throught the web?. Explanation: Suppose you have an administrator software in one location, for all different cities in Greece. This administrator software must control through the WEB all ACT WIN Pro(s) (which 100e are connected with RS485) in all different cities. Which is the administrator software I can use? Please avoid teamviewer style software.... If I am not clear , for what I need tell me so...... Also I can provide more information
  11. I am only using 6 zones & no PA. I have programmed zones 1-6 as used and 7 & 8 as unused. When I try the Walk Test as soon as I input '0' for the test, zones 7&8 LEDs light up and an intermittent tone sounds. Any ideas??
  12. I want to install a Texecom intruder alarm system into an apartment to replace a very basic RISCO panel. This has four wired RISCO PIR detectors and single entrance door with contact switch. It has one remote keypad My requirements are to keep the exiting PIRs and contact switch. Replace the keypad and have an auto dialler connected to analogue telephone. However I would like the option to send additional details alerts (stating what activated the alarm) via text message or email, and have the ability to view the event log via a PC as well as program and interrogate the control panel over TCP/IP. I don't know the Texecom products very well but it looks like I would need a panel that is compatible with the Premier Elite ComIP communicator. Further more I would like to (1) arm/disarm the alarm via Paxton Net2 access control system (2) send a output signal to the alarm input on AXIS IP camera when the intruder alarm is activated (3) be able to receive input from a smoke and/or CO detecor Can you recommend a Texecom alarm panel?
  13. i need to protect a pond from herons - do you have mounts for your beam sensors can these have mirrors to protect four sides with 1 transmitter and one receiver.
  14. I would like to order 10x Optex VX402REC outdoor sensors. Please could you help put together a basic alarm systems as follows: 10x Optex VX402REC sensors Outdoor Sounder Indoor Sounder Key pad to disarm Please could you price for a reliable system and also could you provide a wired option as well as a wireless option?
  15. Please could you advice on the best Honeywell Home Wireless Alarm System which will allow notifications of activations to be sent to mobile phones and allow interaction by mobile phone I was looking at a price range around &300 to £500 is there any systems in or around my budget?
  16. “The three detectors were each paired with a receiver channel successfully. After pairing, all three indicators (RF1/2/3) on the receiver pulse every 5 seconds.” Press the channel button on the receiver. If a detector is learnt onto the channel, you will get three beeps. If you get a single beep, there is no detector learnt. Use this to check if something is learnt. “The problem is that even though the detectors seem to be detecting, there is no resultant indication at the receiver, despite the RF link being up.” The LED next to the channel button will flash on detection. If the detector is learnt, bring the detector to the receiver and wave your hand in front of it. See if the brings on the LED on the channel. “Have tested this with both the CCTV outputs (which is the primary purpose) and also the 'A' outputs.” When testing the relay, there is a small resistor going across it. Don’t use continuity test as this doesn’t always work because of the resistance. Use resistance to check if the relays contacts are functioning on detection. “we think each channel's detection indicator should illuminate for the duration of the detectors' CCTV timer - they never illuminate.” May indicate that the detector isn’t learnt. Another thing you can try is as follows. Make sure one of your channels is blank. Default one of the detectors (remove one battery, hold down the programming button, put the battery back on while holding the button down, keep it held down for 10seconds). Then press the programming button nine times, and hold it down on the ninth for about 15seconds. Relearn the detector onto the blank channel, then give at a test.
  17. I am considering buying some honeywell equipment to upgrade my alarm to wireless. Firstly I just wanted to check that all the components are fully compatible with the Galaxy G2 panel (I have the G2-20, or actually the G2-12 as it is not expanded), and that it will support this many sensors. Do you know this for sure, or should I contact Honeywell directly Honeywell Wireless Door/window compact magnetic contact Honeywell Wireless Dualtec 15m x 18m Honeywell Wireless Smoke sensor with built-in sounder DF8M Honeywell Carbon Monoxide Wireless Detector Honeywell Galaxy 2 Series Wireless Receiver (RF Portal) Microtech Galaxy MK8 Keyprox LCD Keypad Honeywell Galaxy Four-button compact two-way keyfob
  18. GJD Opal RFX system - RFX-3 receiver (GJD018) and three Opal RFX wireless external PIR detectors (GJD017). only attempted installation last few days now that CCTV is installed on the site in question. All the GJD RFX kit powers up OK. The three detectors were each paired with a receiver channel successfully. After pairing, all three indicators (RF1/2/3) on the receiver pulse every 5 seconds. The detectors seem to be operating OK, and when placed in 'walk test' mode the local LED indicator on each detector flashes appropriately. The problem is that even though the detectors seem to be detecting, there is no resultant indication at the receiver, despite the RF link being up. Have tested this with both the CCTV outputs (which is the primary purpose) and also the 'A' outputs. Have tried the following: * un-pairing & re-pairing * clearing all pairing and pairing different detectors with different slots on the receiver * defaulting the parameters on each detector back to the factor settings * extending the CCTV delay to many seconds * setting the pulse count to just one and sensitivity to the max range * changing the 'S' output lux level * tried other new detector batteries etc. * have taken them to an "RF-quiet" location to rule-out interference none of which gave any indication of detection at the receiver. Have tested with both meter and scope, with CCTV contacts configured as N/O and N/C, and no detections being reported. Also, as per item (11) on page 2 of the instruction leaflet, we think each channel's detection indicator should illuminate for the duration of the detectors' CCTV timer - they never illuminate. Its almost as if the RF receiver, and the logic controller, aren't talking to each other properly.... We have also tested with everything running from batteries to rule out any mains-borne interference, ripple etc.; and the set (receivers and batteries) have been taken out, battery-powered, into a field 150+ metres from any other electrical equipment, no mobile phones, etc. – still exactly the same. The fact that all three of the receiver's RF1/2/3 indicators flash at exactly the same time makes us think that this flashing may be receiver-generated rather than reception of genuine transmissions, as think it unlikely the three detectors would transmit perfectly in sync. After re-pairing yet again, each channel's RF indicator still flashes every 5 secs - BUT after removing the detector's batteries, the RF indicator STILL flashes every 5 seconds - so it looks like the flashing of the RF indicator is because it isn't receiving any of the detectors. As its the same for all three detectors, the chances of all three being equally faulty or off-frequency is probably low (unless they were from a faulty batch) so I think that may point the finger more towards the receiver not operating.
  19. I am using the 660 in conjunction with a scantronic 500r. The panel is 12v removed for alarm and the 660 is the opposite. The instalation guide refers to a dip switch to change the polarity. I cannot identify this on the board. Any ideas .
  20. I am looking to install security system on a car garage (yard). I want to install sensors, so if any intruders walk in, message is played and our phones are called. Can you help, or guide me to the right direction. I have seen Optex VX-402REC on your website which are exactly what i require, however want to be sure on outputs and auto dialer etc.
  21. Can the Galaxy Flex 20 alert me directly via PSTN or the optional GSM board, or can it only signal to an ARC?
