[Ticket Question] Replacing Components In An Existing System

Featured Replies

I built my house 17 years ago with a wired alarm system. The six core wiring is inside the wall panels etc. Over the years I have replaced a couple of PIRs etc but now some of the other components are starting to fail (e.g. some parts of the LED displays do not show etc).

I was looking to use the existing wiring and replace the control panel, two keypads and the external siren with the following:

ADE Honeywell Accenta Mini Gen4 with LED Keypad
Secware 12v 0.8A/h Value Alarm Battery (assuming the Mini Gen4 does not include a battery)
ADE Honeywell LCD Keypad for Optima / Accenta Control Panels
Honeywell ActiveGuard AG6 External Siren Blue. Inc White Cover

Is this feasible and is there anything else I should check before proceeding?

Thanks for your response, I purchased the components and have installed
them, looks good so far!

I don't want to bother my neighbours too much when test the system so before
I connect mains and battery supply what is the best way to temporarily de
activate the external siren ? If possible I want to leave the strobe
activated so I can see when strobe/bell box has been activated during
testing.
