Could you advise me if Excel and R8 Panels are basically the same and if not the difference between them and are they programmed the same way?

I have purchased a Menvier M12 4 in 1 Smoke detector and now need to try and change the head of it to just a heat and not smoke sensor, as it is located in the kitchen. Please can you let me know if you sell in the same style and size a heat only sensor and if it is possible to simply change the head from the one detailed above to a heat sensor one? If Menvier do not make a heat sensor in this style, do you have one from another supplier which would screw onto my existing Menvier smoke detector body which is already wired in? Thank you

Hi, I have been looking to buy accessories for Visonic Powermaster 10G system of which I already have a panel and some accessories bought in Sweden. On many accessories it says "will only work with UK panels". Is this actually the case that I would not be able to get these to work with a panel bought in Sweden (sounds strange that Visonic would manufacture special equipment for UK only?)?

My friend has just moved into an apartment which has a Videx KRV78 Door Entry System. She is 86 and rather deaf and cannot hear the buzzer when someone rings her apartment. Hi I need to replace my current wired alarm system.. I have a mains wired alarm with wired connections. I have a couple of PIR's that are wired, which I see no reason to replace as the cables are hidden. I would like to add additional pirs wireless. I can see execom Kit 3 32 Zone Self-Contained Wireless Kit which looks like it can take 4 wired zones. So I could install this on my current set-up and add wirless pir's to additional rooms. I have a couple of questions. How is the alarm disabled. Is it on the control panel? I see it comes with 2xPremier Elite SmartKey. What exactly is this? Can this disable the alarm without having to put in a code? I have 2 children which I would not want them to have a smartkey. Just simply put in the alarm code. Is the alarm easy to implement on my current set-up? Thanks

Hi, My G2-20 is set to EOL and all the other sensors I have purchased from you have had EOL built-in. I guess the Activ8 BG I purchased does not. Can you confirm how I should wire this to my Honeywell Galaxy G2 panel. I have two zones spare that I'd like to use for the motion and the break glass feature of the Activ8. I guess I need to wire a 1k resistor between two of the terminals but not sure which ones. Terminal 1 & 2 - Tamper T 3 & 4 - R-PIR (normally closed) T 5 - EOL T 6 & 7 - R-MIC (normally closed) T 8 - +12v T 9 - GND Many thanks.

Hi, I already have a Galaxy G2-44 with : 2 Keyprox - MK7 & MK8 1 RF Portal - C079-2 1 Internal siren 5 wireless motion sensors - Honeywell DTPI8M 4 wireless door contacts - Honeywell DO8M 6 wireless Smoke Sensors - Honeywell DF8M 2 Wireless CO sensors - Honeywell CO8M I want to add a Honeywell ECO1005-A to this system as there is not a wireless heat-rising sensor for this system that I can find. First, it's wired so will it work OK with the wireless sensors or will there be any conflicts? Also, do I need a latching or non-latching base for this? Hope you can help and thanks,

I am interested in buying a Premier Elite 48 panel from you and see that it comes with 8 Zones as standard. I understand that there are expansion slots in the panel to add more zones each slot in card gives an additional 8 zones. My installation will require around 28 Zones in total, so my questions are: How many expansion slots are there in the Elite 48 Panel before having to go to an external Expansion Module? Does Texecom produce a 16 Zone internal card or only 8 Zone? If I have to use an external module, is this powered from the main panel or will I require an addition Power Supply? What configuration will I need to have 32 Zones in total which will give me some spares in this project? I look forward to any pre-sales help you can offer and thank you in advance for this.

Hi, I am installing a Honeywell G2-20 alarm system at my home. I currently have two iWise 800QG3 movement sensors and am looking at installing an additional four to the system. My wireless home alarm system has been jammed by source unknown. I have reset it but would like to back it up with hard wired system, not susceptible to jamming, for the upper floor of my house. Could you suggest components for such a system. I would like it to include Two PIRs (no need for pet friendly type) A remote wired keypad which can be set/unset easily without keying in a four number code ( I would like to either press one button or use a proximity tag, unless its operation can be jammed) A panic button (unless its operation can be jammed) Outside bellbox with battery back-up (not Odyssey) Thanks

Hello, I have some question about the alarm system. We have two cats. Now I'm looking for the right alarm system for our house. I have 26 wired motion sensors and still need 4 wireless door and 7 wireless motion sensors. Which alarm is the better and the more modern, the Honeywell Galaxy Dimension GD-48 or the Galaxy Flex 50. Second question, I have the wired motion sensor “Active8 PIR with Pet Immunity”,( I bought them last year in England), are they compatible with Galaxy Dimension or Galaxy Flex. Or do I need other new wired motion sensors. The last question, what is the meaning of "Links" in the alarm system. Because the Honeywell Galaxy Dimension GD-48 have 64-Links and the Galaxy Flex 50 only 5-Links. What is the difference? (And what is the difference of Grade 3 and Grade 2.) Thanks in advance.

Hi, looking to but the Texecom Kit 2 32 Zone Wireless Kit with Sounder but have some questions. How is the Premier LCDP powered... batteries of PSU? I assume the LCDP is wireless to the main control box? I have a couple of locations I would like to 'hard wire' will any 'standard' PIR be suitable for this? Is it only 4 hard wired channels I can use? Think I need a cover for the bell box with this kit? please point in right direction for this please

i intend fitting a texacom premier and the client is wanting us to use the flush type keypads . can you advise as to the back boxes we need for these as we need them for the first fix stage . at the moment that will be two into brick and one optionally into plasterboard . can we order these upfront or do they only come with the keypads when ordered ?

Just bought an apartment with the above alarm fitted. At present no one seems to able to give us the access codes rendering the unit useless to us. Is there anyone who can reset it for us and/or give some helpful advice on its use. Thanks, best regards
