have you checked the main fuse in the actual control panele end station??(big scantronic box) There is a mains fuse on the PCB. It should be next to two other fuses.Also remove the battery and get a replacement.If not, change all the fuses and see if it will power up on a battery

Can securitywarehouse tell me what the cheapest bellbox they can find is? I was thinking of the honeywell ag6 or the esp acouta, I can only find an esp acousta for a tenner but it has a red lens and not blue. Could securitywarehouse price one up??

If you can readthe label on your current transformer and go onto RS components, maplins or even ebay you might be able to find one. I have seen a few transformers on ebay for the scantornic 9800, i dont know if there is much power difference to work on your panel. Are you sure your control panel is functioning correctly despite the power issue? It could have fried the board with a surge or something.

If you have any alarm receiving centre like ADT im sure they can do something. The SD1 should do the job. This panel has the aux line I think. if not you could attatch a relay to the sounder circuit which will trip the relay triggering the sd1

Does the Texecom veritas R8+ you have listed on your site come with the LED keypad or the LCD?? I think you should do a special day were you have free delivery with your order . I'd order one form you but the VAT and postage adds up. Im only 14 too!

I would reccommend an Accenta G4 with LCD keypad, fantastic system to use and much more friendly to use and more functions to cater to your requirements. I have one installed in my house and ive not had one problem. Securitywarehouse have a good price on the unit too!!

the accenta G4 system is absolutely deafening anyway!! What you hould do to see if your unit is working properly is to turn the volume potentiometer to ful and see if the extry/exit has got louder, and then turn it to lowest and see if it made any difference. If not you may have a faulty unit.

Are you sure they are discontinuing the range that quickly?! I think they only do a 2, 4 and 8 zone version of the new panel. I'll ring them tomorrow and see what I can find out. Hi, I got the panel today and its the scanny 9448. Ive installed 90% but want to change my bellbox next week when i buy it. I have tamper lines on my devices and that is all fine. Its just the damn tamper light will not turn off which wont let me set the stupid thing!! I hink its the bellbox tamper line. Is it posible to short out that tamper by wiring it into another terminal because all of this work will have to go on hold til next week if I cant sort it!! I am not fussed about the tamper anyway. Please help!!!

Oh okay brilliant. Ive taken off the old control panel and keypad today and some faulty devices which I have bought replacements from yourselves! I bet this is the longest thread on this forum isnt it!! On the scantronic 9448 can any zone be programmed as a fire zone or entry exit? or is it factory defined zones only? Will a 2.1ah battery fit in this control panel too? Cheers

Are you sure that the aux power is connected and not being shorted along the line?

Hello again, I placed the order yesterday for the following: 1X scantronic 9448 panel with rkp 4X SECWARE SC517/WH White 1X 16 ohm internal speaker 1X esp quest pir Can you please specify how to wire the SECWARE SC517/WH White to a zone as I know the texecom ones are absolute rubbish from my old system (replaced them about 7 times). It says there are 5 screws but can you detail how it wires up to save me time? And when will I recieve this order, will it be able to get despatched on monday?
